Not gonna happen. It relies on Samsung framework, which we don't have and would be a major pain to port. Sorry.

Oh How I Miss the SII Keyboard

I got the S3 after having the Evo and then the SII. The SII was a step up in almost every way from the EVo but the big step down for me in the S3 is the keyboard. Why does it have so many more problems then the S2 keyboard?
I tried other keyboards that are supposed to be like the S2 but none are as good.

I love Swype myself but if you want a good standard keyboard the stock ICS keyboard I have attached is better than both the S2 and S3 stock keyboards IMO.

It just seems the swipe function has get little accuracy in the S3 kb.

Optimus G Pro Review

Engadget's review of the OG Pro.
Nearly all positive. Looks like LG is on the road to respectability. Now if only someone can find a way to get the Pro's camera firmware, among other features, to our OG...
That's a big a$$ phone?
Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2
Love the hardware but its just too big for me.. I don't want a mini tablet... hope they make a smaller size as well.
Yeah, I won't be ditching my OG for it, but it's nice to see LG have three top tier phones in a row (counting the N4), and a proper competitor for the Note II. I just hope some of the improved software, in particular the camera firmware, makes it to our OGs one way or another.

Galaxy Note 2 double* (sorry, I know it was probably just a typo)
If you compare the two devices, they look almost 100% identical.
Comparison shot:
Link because it's a big image
When my HTC One X(L) broke, I originally went with the Note 2. However the size and quality of the screen (it looked yellow) convinced me to turn it in for the smaller Optimus G (and also cheaper!). I don't think I could go bigger than the size of Optimus G comfortably.
Maybe I missed something. What was with the antenna at the very end of the video? I didn't see or read anything about that

Agreed, I'm at the limit of what I can do one-handed with this phone. It's actually still a hair too big for my mitts. It isn't comfortable for big stretches and I'm in danger of dropping it when making far corner reaches with one hand. I could never really use anything any bigger, practically, and in a crowd without fear of dropping it sure to the slightest bump.

Our LGOG benchmarked around 21k, so it's faster than the G Pro?
lg og seems to be benching around 21k on snows jb, 19k would be slower however from what I've seen the og pro has been doing about 25k

Which is Better? Note 2 or LG Optimus G Pro?

the LG Optimus G Pro was released days ago. its got the same screen size as the note 2 but is narrower than the note 2. i wanted to tget the note 2.. but now since the optimus came out, i'm thinking about getting the optimus. which do u guys think is better and why?
I would go with the LG
Newer hardware. Better display. Etc.

Do you intend to use the spen? If yes, get the note 2 or wait for the note 3.
I do IT work and always used to write notes in a notebook or quick notes on post-its. When I needed the info later I would have to waste time thumbing through a notebook or looking for a sticky note that I'd lost. Now, everything gets stored on my note and is readily available later.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
i would go for the note 2 for sure. all the things that you can do on LG, now you are able to do it with note 2. using Android Paranoid Halo the new version. I bought note 2 because i am in IT business as well and take notes and do many quick things on note 2. Anyway thats my opinion hope it help you.

Mods are probably too busy to delete a single post that really has not broken any rules. When I decide on two phones I .... Read. I compare the specs side by side. Go to the store and play with both. Then I think about how I use the phone and then make the decision based on what I read and how the phone worked in person.

If price is not an issue, then go with the optimus. It has a slightly faster CPU, higher resolution screen, and a better camera
One me variable. If you like to ROM and play with your phone avoid lg. They rarely have much dev support si in sure the Optimus g will be the same

I would say the LG honestly. Way faster, better display, fits in your hand better. Overall just a better phone honestly. I have had the note 2 and just got the LG and I love the LG a lot more.
I have had nothing but terrible luck with LG.
For me, I would stick with what has worked and had awesome experience with Samsung products.
I know the Nexus 4 has sold well, but is vanilla.
I guess the best bet is to head to store and try each one out.
I don't believe the battery last as long in the Optimus G either.

After the T-Mobile G2x [LG] I will never buy another LG phone. Terrible device. Terrible CS. Terrible updates. Wait until the there's a little more info on the phone.

Looking to upgrade to a new phone....

I got an upgrade with my carrier right now and I am torn as to which phone I wanna go with and just came across the LG Optimus Pro G, seems like a great phone but I'd like some opinions from people who actually own it if you like it better than the Samsung galaxy S4 or the note 2. Ok heres my unbiased opinion, my girl friend has S4 and i have the OGP and guess what? We showed our phones to our friends and they prefer the OGP! Because the display is more natural and more brighter unlike the S4, and the UI looks cartoonist on S4. Plus the battery is better than S4. What amazed me is the lagfree of OGp, there is noooo lag i mean literally no lag. Plus ogp has cool features too that I really like, if you heard about the gosms app for android that has this cool pop up window everytime you get a message, the Ogp has this feature on its stock messanger too!
Btw my previous 2 phones was samsung infuse and galaxy s3, just to let you know

Thanks guys, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the LG, I've been looking at the S4 and the Optimus all day review after review plus coming back to here to see the posts and I'm sold, not to mention AT&T has it for $99 for the 32gb as opposed to the S4 for $250 for the 32gb. Fact is this phone is great. Beats the hell out of the S4 IMHO. But beware if speaker phone calls are important to you lol. Other than that truthfully this is overall the best on the market today and then when you factor in for price its just mind blowing.
Ogp all the way! Best phone out there. If you want a "me too" phone, get the sg4. If you want the best which not many have, get the ogp

Freegee is just Loki and cwm all rolled into one. Its a boot loader bypass that will allow for flashing custom ROMs. however i am wondering if staying on an stock based ROM and then doing an update may play all kinds of hell with your phone if I'm looking at it right. I'm not 100% on that though. I'm more of a windows closet hacker so looking through this I could easily be misunderstanding.
On another note im dang sure your used to flashing with a tf300! You gotta flash the snot out ta that tab to get her running right. Good when you get it though.
If you're meaning a stock OTA update, then it's not even possible since you'd have to be rooted to use freegee and the OTA won't work if you're rooted. On the other hand of you mean a custom rom update then I wouldn't have a clue since we don't have any yet.
In order to return to stock you'd need to use lgpnst I think it is. This will put you at the bare OTA upgradable stock.

Nope.
So no update for the OG? Damn....
So far the only official version we have is 4.1.2 for all variants.
Would be nice even if one variant gets 4.4 cause then it can be ported like how the Korean rom was ported and then later the HK one before NA officially got 4.1.2

Most smartphone users do not care about software updates. They do not know the importance of it. Just want Facebook working well on a big screen and durable battery. LG should drop their own software and form a partnership with Cyanogenmod. Simple as that. No problems with software and they could only concentrate on hardware.
