It works perfectly with AOSP ROMs. I'm using with Paranoid android. You can assign a function or app to activate when you detach /attach the spen.

Yeah the last update that allows you to set what happens when you remove SPen and put it back put it over the top. I have owned it for a while. I set it to launch transparent pad then I made several gestures and double tap to open camera, I write a "X" to open XDA or Tapatalk, etc. Oh and write a "P" and it opens Papyrus. I dont use SNote at all anymore

ISO a keyboard that toggles between the number and letters pads.

Anyone know of one? Each time use my spreadsheet app I have to change to the number keypad which is cumbersome. Thanks in advance.

Not sure that I understand the question, but I use Swift key x.
One of my favorite features is the fact that it toggles between the keyboard and a regular style number pad instead of the annoying top row numbers.

Well, does it stay in either mode UNTIL you toggle back? As I mentioned it's annoying to have to always change to the number pad.

I tried it. Doesn't do it.

Try perfect keyboard. It is a GB like keyboard. You can set it up to use a split QWERTY in landscape mode with a 10 key in the middle. I use it on my tab and on my gs2. There is a pay version if you like it too.

I'll check it out. So far perfect keyboard with the split mode, a numeric pad in the middle of the qwerty is almost a solution but it's so small there in the middle it doesn't really work out.

Pre-installed Swype works like that. If I toggle to the numbers, it stays there until I toggle back to the letters.

Really? That's what I started with and have been struggling with. Maybe it's the program i'm using? I'm using documents to go... Every time I click on a cell I have to change to numbers.

Ooh....my bad. I mis-understood. I was thinking you were changing between numbers and letters in the same text input box. If you are changing cells then it wouldn't work like you want it to. It defaults to letters.

I agree it does get a little tight on the gs2...try this out on the perfect keyboard. Goto settings-tweaks- and toggle auto return to alpha and toggle numeric keypad on that screen. These will effect the portrait setup. Not sure if it will produce the desired effect when toggling between cells. Try to use the tab or next on the keyboard instead of touching the cell on the screen. I think that is what is resetting you keyboard. Or you may see if the t-9 setup will work.

Didn't work but thanks anyway.

[Q] Disable capacitive buttons?

I have started using "GMD Gesture Control" for "home", "resents" and "back" commands.
And I have no use for the capacitive buttons, well maybe the "options" one.
But personally I find them annoying as hell! and want to get rid of them!
I found a thread for the Galaxy S3...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823806
I locate the folder "system">"usr" > "keylayout"
But I cant find "sec_touchkey.kl"??
I am running Omega v4.0 Rom if that makes a difference...
Any help guys?
i wanna know too..
after using GMD Gesture control, the capacitive buttons are useless
any one can help?
Do you guys mind sharing your gmd configuration?

you set your own gesture to operate different command.
For example, i swipe from left to right by using two fingers can open the recent app page..
it really depends on your own choice.
So I am trying to see what gestures you guys have. Comparing to mine.

Homemade swype keyboard

Hypothetically speaking, if one found a keyboard they liked but the only thing missing was swype, could a developer rebuild the app to include it? I'm really liking A.I.type keyboard but no swype capability is a bummer. Just curious.

Anything is possible, though I would think that's too much work to reverse engineer something that's already available on the play store and fits 99% of people's needs.
As it turns out, while using the keyboard the app prompted me to leave feedback and of course I told them it was awesome but would love to see swype integrated and they actually emailed me last night and told me they were currently working on putting it in.

I really like the stock keyboard but I like the layout options they have on theirs. I can put up the "period" key, "comma" key, smiley face, mic key, and numbers keys all at the same time without needing any of them to be long press keys. You can also adjust the keyboard height from the keyboard itself without going into settings. It seems to be a lot more convenient to use the keyboard this way.

Ok note II owners I have a question.. Any answers?

First of I'm using the original Samsung keyboard that comes on the phone. Sometimes when I go to type using the swipe like feature all my words run together like this (hellotherewhattimeisit) with no spaces at all and other times it will type correctly. . I haven't figured out what causes this and I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.
Thanks in advance

My guess is that it has to do with the field you are typing in. For example the browser address bar wouldn't need spaces between the words.
As mr_wrong_0 states. This depends which input field you are writing in. The latest Swift Flow Beta is said to behave better.
This happens in the default messaging app. Sometimes It runs together and sometimes it doesn't.

get the real Swype. it's better than the stock in all things

Have you accidentally saved hashtags to your dictionary on the keyboard?
Use the Kii Keyboard. It's by far the best one out there and the swype feature is far more accurate and smoother than any other.

GMD spen now allows eject app

Just had update that allows custom app launch or function when ejecting spen and another for inserting.. I am running root box vanilla aokp cm romantic and set it to launch papyrus and kill it on reinsert... Was using two rom before this was possible
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
Update: after many reboots and ejects it works flawlessly. If only papyrus would have options to start in a new note and autosave when closing I would be 100% satisfied
