You're going to have to share with what rom and release you're running, etc. We can't help you much right now
Is the Bluetooth device working well? Did you try checking with another phone?

*Edit* Wi-Fi sleep policy is set to never.
It seems like the Wi-Fi goes to "sleep" on the DHD. I installed VLC Remote a little while ago, and after 1-2 minutes the controller will not work. I had to quit the app and reconnect for it to work.
I did a test by pinging the DHD from my computer while the VLC Remote was active, turned off the screen several times. It worked perfect!
I then stopped the pinging and after 1-2 minutes the VLC Remote stopped responding. I pressed the pause button several times, nothing happened.
Then I started the ping back up (the VLC Remote was still open) and after a 2-3 "Request canceled" (no ping reply back from the phone) it got a response from the ping and the VLC Remote worked again.
Is there any way to make the Wi-Fi not go to "sleep"? It's annoying me to stop/start the remote every time I want to pause the movie.
I tried turning Best Wi-Fi performance on, but that didn't help
Thanks!
select the wifi settings, then press the menu button and select advanced, change the wifi sleep policy to never and your laughing

Thanks for the reply fkofilee. It's already set to "never". Updated the original post and title with it.
I restarted the phone and did some more testing.
As long as the screen is on there are no problems (VLC Remote responds), but when I hit the on/off button on the top of the phone to turn the screen off and turn the screen back on after a couple of minutes, VLC Remote will not respond. I have to ping the phone for VLC Remote to respond again.
Any suggestions?
same here, have to disconnect/connect to wifi to get it going again. Really frustrating when my exchangesync fails. Work as a IT-administrator and have to get serverfails reported as soon as possible.

I also have this issue its so annoying. I could be connected to wifi and have bars and then go to download something from the market it will pause and when I go into network setting its says wifi is authenticating but it doesnt change so I have to turn off and back on to get it working again. I had a Iphone 3gs and never had wifi issues like this.

I don't think we have the same problem. Downloading seems fine. When I ping it (while running VLC Remote), it works fine. I can shut the screen off, turn it back on 10 min later and it works fine. It seems like it goes into a type of "sleep mode" when there is no active traffic to/from the phone.
I sent an e-mail to HTC about this problem. I'll keep you guys updated.
Dont know if you do or are into mods but if you root your phone and flash clockwork mod you could try and push a new wifi module using root explorer...or even flash a custom rom...Pretty sure this would fix it..
Depends how much you know about this stuff though..
I can help you through it if you want to...some people dont want to though and I cant blame them...

Thanks rixsta! I'm gonna do a custom ROM, but I'm gonna wait until Gingerbread is released and custom ROMs have been made for that.
Are you up for testing if this is a problem on your ROM? If so, is this fixed with a new wifi module?
*Edit* With LeeDroid 1.2 and Buzz 1,22Ghz v1.0.2 it fixed the problem! I also sent a mail to HTC and they have forwarded it to the programmers.

I'm using leedroid's Rom so can't test and I've just got it working great..but...why don't you just root with visionary and pay £2.50 for root explorer and move a new WiFi module...that's all you need..
Up to you really..you could use Apache oc kernel...you will need to s off with this method and buy setcpu from the market...if your going to be doing custom roms in the future then you will need to do this anyways...if you need help let me know...I can tell you where to get the WiFi file from...

Any news regarding this issue?
Searched and can't find a fix. Does anyone know if there is a way to use the BT in flight mode? I know you can use the wifi but I want to use the BT as well. Thanks

I'm pretty sure that would defeat the purpose of flight mode.

No, wifi works fine just no BT. I know some say it defeats the purpose but I do a lot of traveling international and I want to keep my cell radio off. Is there a way to do at least that?
Sent from a Sammy Galaxy far, far away..
I find myself in the same boat as kkholidaze regarding BT functionality during Flight Mode.
For myself, I use a BT stereo headset (with speaker) and in some situations, need to disable the mobile connection. This leaves me with only with WiFi as the only option. Being able to extend this to BT would be ideal as I could send/receive calls via BT and if required, access my music library.
It's more of a "nice to have" than a requirement.
I know it was possible on the HTC Sensation to do it. I tried the *#*#4646 thing to try and turn off the radio but it didn't work. Any suggestions guys?
Sent from a Sammy Galaxy far, far away..
I'm bringing this topic back for anyone who still needs a solution to this as I have found one. Looks like if you turn on BT first THEN go into airplane mode, it will kill you cell radio but still leave BT enabled. If you try to do it in reverse (airplane then bt) it will not let you. Some roms (ics) will let you do it now either way but if you're still having this issue, try that.

lol, thanks. Actually i was hoping an answer from anyone having problems.
I was having them quite often, figured out it was only when I had DSP manager or Awesome beats installed AND set to modify the bluetooth sound. Not sure if this is your case or not but thought I would chime in. To fix I just unchecked ALL options under bluetooth then unpaired. (Turn off BT go into BT on phone, unpair, turn BT on phone off, reboot phone) then I repaired and no more disconnects.

I've been having this problem with my Sony head unit and GN. It takes a couple tries for a2dp to connect and will randomly disconnect. Happened on ICS too.

I got lots of disconnections from my car audio system.
My heart rate monitor and nokia head set disconnects too much. Over 5 times in one hour.
My wife's GN also disconnects from her Kenwood head unit. Far less frequently than mine, but it happens. I'm surprised more people haven't chimed in on this issue. My dad just got his GN yesterday so I'll check his tonight to see if it too suffers from this problem.

at least i am not the only one with problems. Since i never tested bluetooth in stock ICS i thought it could be some hardware problem. But apparently other people have too ...
I had no such issues. I use it with a Plantronic 925 and a Gear4 BT stereo speaker, none if them working differently than they did on ICS.

I haven't had problems with Bluetooth audio. When I use Bluetooth File Transfer between my Xoom and Gnex, I can view my Xoom's file system from my GNex. When I try to view my Gnex file system, I get a an error message saying the Nexus does not support OBEX FTP, which it should. Not a big deal but it is a nuisance.

I am gonna test this !
i notice Bluetooth issues when connected to my motorcycle helmet.
using stock or other custom roms it will start to cut out or skip when i put the phone in my pocket and at highway speed it loses connection completely.
when using cm10 "official not the kangs" it has no issue whatsoever and the connection distance is improved 20x. i can have the phone 20 meters away and it still stays connected and even at highway speeds.

CM10 = Cyanogenmod Version 10. It is the first Jelly Bean Rom from Cyanogenmod. There are many threads on the topic but you can also find information on their site.
The official nightly releases of this version has just been released for the VZW and Sprint Galaxy Nexus as well as other devices.

Not had this myself, sounds like the cellular connection is going to sleep and not waking when your note 2 polls for a connection. Are you on a stock rom or a custom, can you post your android version number as well, will help anyone else who posts who may have more information for you.
If your rooted you could try pulling a log at the time you switch connections see if that yields any useful data.
Same here on a german device. I use manually select the Provider. Then it connect. Thank you for the tip with the airplane mode. But I search a way to kick this big. In a german forum a member says that a Fullwipe helps.

Can anyone tell me what to look for in order to create a log? (I don't expect a tutorial just someone point me in the right direction).
The problem is intermittent.

Give this a go, should allow you to create a log during the time you have the problem then you can see what android is or is not doing at the time.

Not something I have had myself but my gf has this same problem with her gs3. After having a look around our seems to be fairly common on the gs3 so any help with a fix would be great. I can only assume that it's something that will be fixed with a fw update from Samsung.

Its tmo service which is causing the issue. They dont allow devices to access their network through phones.
I have an acura with acuralink, been researching for literally a year to get this stupid acura link to work and i cant figure it out. Another guy on the acura forums has a verizon phone he said it synced up without him trying to.

My T-Mobile Note 2 is working fine with Ford MyTouch Sync... SMS messages come through just fine. Have you updated to the latest firmware for your car? Another thing to try is to power cycle the car... delete your phone from the car, delete Sync from the phone, power cycle the phone, and pull the car's battery cable for a minute.

It just didn't work. Everytime I got a text my phone would give the alert noise. It's like my phone would think that somebody had already read the text message. So when I picked the phone up I didn't even know that I had received a reply because I had the radio on and couldn't hear the phone. So its like the radio was trying to get the text but couldn't all the way. I would check and neither device would say I had a text. The phone would have the text but would say that I already read it. My Sync system wouldn't even receive it.
When I started the car up the other day I heard music but the display was all black. The first text I received after that it started alerting me and giving me the option to read them. So my issue fixed is self.
Ido believe that unplugging the battery may have fixed this issue. That is as long as the regular old school car battery was the one that powered this device. As my car is hybrid.
