Would someone port? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Would anyone be willing to port the Whompasaurus rom to our device? Its in the sprint and verizon forums. Here is the link to the rom on the sprint... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2039564. If anyone would be willing to port this it would be much appreciated, any help whatsoever would hr appreciated for that matter. If someone knows how to port it and doesn't want to instructions on how to properly port it would be appreciated as well and I could give it a shot for myself.

Dont quote me on this but that rom should flash fine on our phones since it does not contain any Radios built into it. But again dont quote me on that. Just be sure to nanadroid everything. Use androidmizer to back up your IMEI EFS Partion to.
Some things will need to be changed though, Build.prop, CSC.apk, etc. But should boot up just fine.
Allenjthomsen is awesome at taking requests when it comes to porting give him a PM.

I actually tried just flashing it. (Flashing kernel after as well as not flashing kernel). But the systemui just force closes, no status bar etc... but thanks for the reply and info

Hmm weird. Maybe try flashing Morphology over it to give you the status bar back and theming capabilities. Look on the themes and apps section think its third or fourth page.

IM Creating A Custom Rom Which Is Coming SOON!

This past week i have been learning mostly about theming, using apk manager, and using sdk tools and i already have a custom rom that still looks like stock, but has the init.d tweaks, build prop tweaks, its debloated, it has the sony bravia engine and also working mms thru wifi, but im trying to figure out how to add the advanced power menus, the 14 toggles, and xloud into it. Would anyone in here help me? I would really appreciate it and after i get those Mods into my custom rom, next would be the basic theming which is kinda easy but messing with the .9 images and patching it is what looks to be the hardest part from it all because i havent tried messing with that part yet.

14 toggle mod--> look for the mod on the I727 forum, then add it to your rom. It's that simple.
extended power menus--> same thing, it's a mod somewhere on XDA. Just make sure you get a version that works for the rom you're building
theming-->you are on the right track
Thanks for the advice Alienz

The 14 toggle mod from the I727 will work on GB roms but not on the new ICS roms...
The power menu mod needs to be incorporated into your framework..
Yeah the rom is based on 2.3.6 gingerbread and i have just put the 14 toggles not that long ago and its working perfectly. The advanced power menus i havent found yet ive been searching the forums but cant seem to find it. Today i was doing the theming but those .9patches gives me nothing but problems. I did a few .9 pngs but when i compile it back (systemUI.apk) it doesnt seem to save and gives me errors. I probably seem to know what i did wrong so later on i'll be working on it!

UPDATE: i have xloud working, gps locks quickly, i have bravia engine in it which made vids look better and clearer, i have the 14 toggles, mms over wifi is fully working, and the UI and scrolling is fast! If im missing anything else let me know. What i need to implement is the advance power menus but i still at this point cant find it anywhere. Then whenever i add the power menus mod next would be the theming which im really not good at because im having a lot of trouble on the theming part.

Can I use Mods from galaxy s3 I9300

My question is this I recently visited the i9300 forums a came across a thread with like status bar mods, transparent notification drop downs and etc. well Ive got two question my flashing one of these mods will it work or hurt? Second if I can't flash the zips could I take them out of the zip and just switch the images out with my system ui files? Please any help or knowledge is appreciated.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1768962
The short answer is "don't do it" unless you want to turn the phone into a drink coaster.
I can give you a longer explanation, but do you really need it?

I'm using the 50% translucent notification pull down (without brightness slider) with no issues. I can also take least vouch for that mod. Your best bet is to do a nandroid backup before you try any of them.

Are you saying that your using that mod from that excact forum?
Some of the mods will work as the framework is a lot the same if that is all that it's changing, but things could get really bad really fast if it goes wrong and leave you with a paperweight. Things like transparent drop down aren't to hard to do on your own, Google a guide for ninjamorph or similar.

I found something even better (in my opinion):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1980828
In the GS3 I9300 forum, someone posted an Aroma Installer version of the 4.2 Gapps that works for BOTH AOSP and Samsung-based ROMs. I flashed it on my SGH-T999 (T-Mobile GS3) and EVERYTHING works perfectly without FCs. Actually, the camera still FCs if you don't manually focus first, but that seems to be a problem we can't get rid of just yet. Everything works in AOSP ROMs, but the email and lockscreen font apps don't work in Samsung-based ROMs.
All the 4.2 Gapps features like camera, desk clock, lockscreen font, email, emoji keyboard, gmail, google now, keyboard, launcher, market, play music and also nexus 4 sounds, wallpapers and bootanimation are present and working. Since these files are all in one Aroma Installer, you can flash them all at once or pick and choose. The guy who posted it is Zoot1 and I think he did a good job. The OP of this thread did good too, but this might make things much simpler. Again, it's safe for SGH-T999 (T-Mobile GS3) and likely for all versions of GS3.

Same thing happened to me, I'm running Liquid Smooth RC7.
Maybe I'm an idiot but I didn't see much of a change at all. I'm running CM10. I installed and I already had the key board, market, and gmail installed. Now I don't see the sounds or the wallpapers. Maybe your own laziness is what's bothering you. Why didn't you flash from my original post that linked directly to the att one? Or did you not see it? Did you not put together that my original post had the att link but I edited it because of someone else's opinion. I mean the guy gave a thorough explanation of it, so it was safe to assume it worked. Maybe the op of the thread he linked changed the installer causing it not to work anymore. You should think before you start calling other people out. I was planning to test the aroma installer that the guy suggested, but I don't have all the time in the world. Anyways JusTun updated their installer to include 4.2 gapps now, and I already updated the op to include it. Now stop being an a$$

Long press Menu to Kill Option

I know TDunham has given the option to longpress back to kill for quite a while now, thank you TD
With us getting closer to having multiwindow working this functionality may be lost as long pressing back will launch the multiwindow service. That being said, I found another option that I've been using for a few months now.
Credit for this goes to Cristiano Matos from the Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 threads original thread here
You can follow his instructions and it will work flawlessly. I have used this mod on builds FL16 through GB08 without issue.
He also has other How-To's that I have not tested, but if you're adventurous and are willing to test, please let us know!
I will not be writing a How-To for this device because there were no changes from his method to work for the SPH-D710, and I don't believe in copying others work. All necessary instructions and files are located in the original thread. Be sure to thank him:good:
If this thread violates any of the rules (which I don't understand how it would, but thats just my opinion) please feel free to move/delete etc... and this information can be easily added to an existing thread. Thank you
Edit-
Just for anyone wanting this mod, I'm attaching a flashable zip. PLEASE NOTE : THIS IS A STOCK ANDROID.POLICY.JAR, IT WILL BREAK ANY EXISTING MODS

I didn't plan on making these, but while I was making them for Tweaked, I thought hey, why don't I make them for stock too? And here goes some darkness for those that don't like the light. lol
Had to update the 2 zips that include the contacts (contacts/phone and the all in 1 zip) . I kinda forgot to change the textfield bg in it so it was white text on a white bg. My bad.

No, don't flash on Tweaked. They'll remove all the mods dwith put into the apks. I already made tweaked version based on the alpha and sent them to dwith (including the S5 mms ). The reason why I didn't post them, is because since tweaked is still alpha and dwith is still making changes all the time and depending what alpha/beta version is out for testing, they might end up breaking things. I'm sure once dwith is done with the versions I sent him, he'll package them up nicely.

That's because your rom isn't deodexed. You'll have to go into your phone's system/priv-app folder and delete the odex file for secmms. If you flashed any of the other apks, you'll have to do the same. The SecContacts_OSup.apk and SecPhone.apk are also in the same folder as the mms and the MultiWindowTrayService.apk is in the system/app folder.
Or I could just flash a Deodexed Rom.
I am to assume that it wouldn't be wise to flash this on the new ne6 base.?
