Hi, I recently rooted my Note 2 (N7105) and would like to install the new HTC Sense 5 launcher. From the recent Sense 5 ROM for the HTC Droid DNA, I extracted the prism.apk file (the launcher) along with the framework. I set the permissions to rw-r-r; however I cannot get the launcher to work as it keeps force closing. Does anybody know how to fix this?
It isn't just that easy. You will need a lot of files to port. So don't even bother to do it. Many devs have tried but with no success

You have a theme based on sense 5 on the apps section of the forum.

Ok, first off I'm posting this from my phone so I will need to paste the links when I get home in case anyone needs to see exactly which launcher I'm talking about.
I am using vanilla sky 3.0 rc2 and kings kernel 2. I applied the prodigy theme (which btw is awesome) and I'm trying to add the customized launcher pro he has posted in the same thread. I can flash the launcher and have it work fine however there are two other zips to use too, one is for a 5 tab window for vanilla roms and the other a 7 tab home screen window for sense roms. I'm having trouble with this part. Ive flashed the launcher pro zip first then tried with both options and neither seems to do anything at all, I'm just stuck with 3 slides on the home screen. I even restored back to the nandroid I made right before that and tried flashing the other one first and the original file after and still nothing! I'm obviously doing something wrong so I came to this section for help. I'm using rom manager to boot to recovery and then flashing through that.
If links are needed, I will post them when I get back home. I posted the same question in the original thread but haven't heard a reply at all.
Thanks a bunch in advance!!!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778098 here is the thread with the zip files to the custom launcher pro in question. They are located in post 10. I'm really hoping someone can help me, I'd love to use this launcher pro mod but I just can't with only 3 screens. I can deal with going down to 5 but 3 is just not nearly enough.
how to fully remove the remove the Sense-ui from the rom?
i just need htc's application.
even i changed to use launcher pro, it sense-ui also running at the background .
delete rosie.apk and all sence widgets from /system/app/ make sure you set launcherpro as your default home before doing this as you may end up with a force close loop on boot otherwise
Well sense is a huge part of the system and framework as well. Why not just flash an aosp Rom from the development section. That way you get completely rid of it.
Search the forum for supervillain, its a great stable rom, has all the HTC apps, no sense UI and launcher pro as default

Hi XDA Devs! I don't know if this is against the rules but can someone help me with modifying an apk file? Basically, I got a new HTC One (M7) which is unrooted. The new sense theme doesn't have a widget that my previous rooted HTC Sensation XE ( running Elegancia ICS ROM with Sense 4 ) has. So I simply got the apk file of that specific widget ( HTC photo album widget ) out from my Sensation XE and tried to install it in my HTC One. The package installer says "App not installed" even after a few tries. I'm suspecting that it is because I do not have root access on the One and the widget is formally a system app and trying to install as a system app. Can anyone pretty please help me with this? Thanks!
The apk file is attached. Direct Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1998331&stc=1&d=1369751111
Additional Details: I know there is an app in Google Play about HTC photo widgets ( Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gzplanet.photogridwidget )but that wasn't exactly what I needed.
A directly installable APK file would be the best for me but other advices and methods (which gets me the same results) are very greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
hi there forum users,i am new here at this forum,I searched the internet especially this forum but i could not find the HTC One X calculator widget (the old one) before the 4+ sense update you know the calculator widget that has 4 different skins not like the 2 calculator skins (wooden and white marble kind of )
i have a non-rooted HTC One X android 4.1.1 sense 4+
if someone can guide me how to find this old apk file(i think the apk file should be re-signed so that it can be installed properly to a non-rooted device) that would be much appreciated.
thanks.

If you find it, I don't think you can install it on a non-rooted device, cause the Calculator.apk (and CalculatorWidget.apk) is in system\app, and cannot be overwritten on non-rooted devices.
But you could try to find an old Sense 4 ROM here on the forum and extract the apk's from the zip-file.

i already found a htc calculator widget apk and installed it by only pressing install ,the apk is working but it's been made for htc desire X and the widget is working but on homescreen it looks pretty small more than half size of the original wooden or marble calculator skin and i asked the creator-uploader of the widget and he replied that my post is in the wrong place (i already posted on HTC ONE X+ questions)so i posted here again.
here is the original thread about this widget that i found earlier.

apk. is re-signed so that it can work on non rooted devices as the creator also mentions
hello, did anyone manage to install htc sense home launcher on s10 lite? I have tried a large number of apk files and mostly they cannot be installed or are not functional.

Unless something has changed in my absence. this is not possible since you're lacking required framework.
Simply installing an APK isnt going to work.

You are wrong. Htc sense home working fine on all s10 series. Just download all required apk from https://sourceforge.net/projects/xioami/files/RedmiNote5/
If you face dpi issue then just download latest nodpi version from apkmirror. It should work

I have installed to nova launcher htcWeather and HtcWearherClockWidget apk and workings fine for having htc clock widget and weather working. You need both.
The others i didn't wanted. I tried music widget and some others, didn't working very well.
I think it is better to use nova and htc icons to have a nice result than installing htc launcher.
