[Q] Game/app to play on LONG plane trip?

I will be going on a long plane trip soon. I have plenty of batteries. I was wondering if anyone knew of a great game/app that will pass hours of time without getting bored (preferably using not a lot of power)?

Angry birds is always a favorite, and just started paradise island and it seems like it will be a very good time killer.

The best one is the call of duty black Pegasus u can play it in story mod or multiplayer or bob gerilla its short but good

I've been so addicted to Paradise Island that it's almost sad. It actually had an adverse effect on my life for the past week. Then, somebody told me that it's like Farmville and my addiction slowed down drastically. lol
OP: Try Asphalt and Drag Racing if you like car games, Gun Bros is a hell of a good time, but it pushes the CPU to the limit and will drain lots of battery juice. If the plane has WiFi, you can play some Words with Friends (it's like Scrabble).

I love that drag racing game. They fixed the pro league and now you can actually race real people instead of ghosts lol.

Yeah...I was just about to post this news..I found this on Phandroid earlier..I've been waiting for this game eversince I tried it on the I-CRAP!! That was the only reason I ever picked that JUNK up!! To play this game..It is VERY SLOW downloading everyone so be prepared to maybe wash your clothes....your Dog....your cat...your spouse...I'm sure you get the picture..Woo Hoo...I'm at 90% its been about 10 mins...Normal internet speeds are 20mbs on home network..It's Not the fastest dl time but its worth the wait....

I finally got it downloaded (I guess their server is a little less busy right now... It took about 15 minutes for everything), and I gotta say, it's awesome for what it is: a Gran Turismo clone. It looks spectacular, but like Gran Turismo, you gotta work your way up to the good cars.

anyone else dissappointed in the graphics? this looks weak in comparison to the I- version.. that sucks..because im pretty sure our phones can handle the extra graphics. especially considering the data is over a gig.. o well.. I guess developers really dont want to put in the time for the android based versions.. what a shame

There's too many variables in Android hardware. In the iPhone, it is known what CPU/gpu, the amount of ram, the screen resolution and what version OS you have.
Games for iPhone, I have seen insane large file sizes.

Rayman Jungle Run Nexus 7 Screen Shots

You may or not know Rayman Jungle Run is coming to android, however it was delayed due to technical difficulties (I'm sure Apple is paying developers to delay apps...). Kinda like Asphalt 7 and just like Asphalt 7 it got leaked working fine. So I got a copy I found on google, google it.

I intend on buying the app when it's officially released.

i really want to buy this game. but like Marvel: Avenger alliance, it's being delayed...
the only problem i see with this mobile version, is that it's not free movement like the console version. it's a continuously-running game - like Temple Run but side-scrolling. is this true? ie. you can't stop, turn around, etc... you can only jump or slide or crouch...

Yes this is true, the controllers are... well... There isn't really any controls. You just tap the screen when you're ready to jump, it's all about timing in order to collect all the fireflys (I think that's what they are. xD) It's great fun, I'll buy it when it's out.
You're right about Avengers, and Wild Blood. Like I said, Apple probably pays them. :/

Yep, the skating game where you tag walls and fun music. It's the original from Sega.

The game won't even start on my Nexus7 Android4.2.1.
It crashes after trying to launch the app. And it downloaded only 5mb instead of 500.
Tried many things to fix it, didn't work :'(

Works perfect for me on 4.1.2 (CM10)..

Like the z-buffering is at war with itself? Yep.

It seems to be an issue even on the PC release, and on other devices as well, so maybe it'll get fixed later. I wonder if it's possible to change the internal rendering resolution.

Xml files.

its on screen controls but i used sixaxis and maped the hardware keys of the controller to the touch screen controls. works just like the game had ps3 controller support.

I love tennis and tennis games. Actually the only game I play on my laptop since the past 6 months or so to spend some free time is Virtua Tennis 4.
I never knew that a mobile version existed too. I was too tempted and although overpriced, I just went ahead and purchased it. Loving the graphics, it looks exactly like the PC version on a small screen.
Little difficult to get hold of it. The controls are little confusing as often my player just ends up running somewhere uncalled for. I hope I'll get used to the gameplay soon.

You can change the controller settings if u r having difficulty with gesture control.
