Hey,
So now that majority of the kernels for the galaxy series support standard bootanimation.zip support, i would like for people to post any interesting ones they found.
Here is the format id like each post in this thread to take :
Provide a link to your bootanimation.
Use this tool Link (thnx camalot) to create a gif of your animation and attach that to your post as well.
Try to make sure the animation is 480x800 so that it looks decent on our devices.
Remember bootanimation.zip can go in either
/data/local/ or /system/media/

Nice idea looking for some bootanimation file. When i come back home i will post mine.

I'm currently using the Droid X in blue boot animation.
Have used a few others including the one above, the Cyanogen one looks pretty good to
edit: couldn't attach gif as it was to large

omfg just booted up with this boot animation and it really looks incredible... love it.. if only it had sounds though...

U can get Stock bootanimation in there. Also all other sounds.

@Danesh, can you update your screenshot in the first post? Photobucket ain't giving you no love, imageshack maybe? =p

First Version is out! IT'S A VRTHEME! i haven't test it on any other phones besides mine (vr 3.0). flash on your own risk. backup wont hurt

Motorola Icons for all stock apps
Themed: browser.apk, framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk, contact.apk, phone.apk, jobmanager.apk(task manager), settings.apk,
ClockPackage.apk, and whatever i forgot to mention.
Motorola Statusbar. The reason for this is a colored statusbar gives an illusion of a bigger screen. trust me on this

sorry bro but no ETA yet. in the middle of final exam, and might be away for holiday for a while. i'll try to finish it a.s.a.p, because the remaining parts are the minor ones (icons, etc.)

Since my vacation is cancelled, i've been improving the theme and MAY release it by weekend thanks for the support!

Dithered vs Non-Dithered ICS Background

This has bothered me since i first looked at my One X
Why in the hell is the ICS Holo Dark Background not dithered?
for those who don't know what i mean, look at the two pics,

The only point i would see, is the difference in file size (4,4 Kb vs 119 Kb)
but never the less i very much prefer the dithered png, and so i added it to the framework-res.apk
if anyone wants to use this just copy the file into framework-res.apk/res/drawable-nodpi/background_holo_dark.png

That's funny... it's bothered me seeing that as well. Looks fugly on a high end such as the one X. Great minds think a like. This "fix" will be implemented in my Energy ROM that will be posted today...

Good to see You again I can still renember your first ROMs on Touch Pro

Thanks a lot for this man.
I was really bothered by this one particular quirk. Apps like Boid looked weird with the dark themes.
I just wish all the devs would implement this in their ROMs.

it would be possible to provide a flashable zip but this would revert all other mods, becsuse the whole framework-res. apk will be exchanged!
but it is possible to use metamorph or something similar

Well if you guys want this fix in a ROM, go look for the Energy ROM in the dev section. I released my ROM with this in it yesterday! Props endursa !

Made a zip that patches the bg into the framework. Haven't tested it, but it should work.
Uses Villiantheme, so your original framework-res will be modified rather than replaced.

i definitely would very much welcome it, so every body can enjoy the mod without having to fiddle around with additional flashing
as I said before, I allow every custom Rom to include my file(s), because what is the point of discovering something and not sharing it so everybody can profit!

╠ THEME ╣ AOSP Statusbar for Sense 5 ╠ beta ╣

Im currently working on resizing all aosp status bar icons and some others within the system for the One..despite the low resolution on the n4..the only thing im missing for the status bar is the aosp battery but i will get to that later..I will need some testers as i havent tried this on my one yet and would like to get some feedbacks..flashing this will also change the look of ur popups menu if u choose the themed version..also this fixes the color banding gradient issue on the system background..

Very nice! I already made a very small Holo-style Theme and some Batteries. Let me know if you need help. Also if u need Webspace for your Theme (for free ofc). Mediafire is crap

Does ist run over TrickDroid 5.4.0 with ElementalX Kernel?

I'm running TD 5.3.0 with elemental kernel and when I flashed this it made my Rom corrupt,key board went crazy notification bar went missing and a few more bugs. I had to reflash TD.
I really like the look of this , how can I get it running ok ?
