Anonymous message not sent - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

So, I grab my phone a few minutes ago....and there's a notification saying message not sent. I click it and its to anonymous...no phone number, with no message text. Then it just booted me to my handcent main screen that shows all my conversations.
Now there is no sign of it. No drafts or anything.
Anyone ever encountered this? Gonna run ad-detector to see what spam apps it finds.

T-Mobile TP2 cannot receive text messages

Help. I am completely frustrated.
My tmobile touch pro 2 all of a sudden can not receive any text messages. When I switch out my sim card to another phone it gets texts immediately so there is nothing wrong there.
I've already tried resetting the phone many times and even left the battery out before doing so. When I send a text message to my own phone number from the phone I get a text back from the system administrator stating that the message was not delivered and that I should check the address and try again.
I've used other phones and texting services to try to send myself texts but nothing comes through. Is there anything else I can do?
Glad to see I was not the only one having this problem. I had to call customer service and they sent me a new phone.

Did you recently install any new apps? I had that problem at one time, and realized that it was the app that i downloaded that caused my text messages not to work. the app that casued the error for me was True Caller. Once i uninstalled the app and soft reseted my phone, the text messages worked perfectly again.
I hope this helps.

HTC Touch pro 2 for Verizon problems!

When I try to reply to a message sent to me from one particular person, I get a message from System Administrator saying "The message you sent has been delivered" Whenever I get this message, the person I was replying to does not get a text from me. If I open a new message and add this person as a recipient, then he gets the message. Why is there this error and how do I fix it? Does anyone know? I love the phone but this error showing up and not sending my messages makes me want to get a new phone because the person I cant reply to is my fiance!
In my past experience with verizon, you will receive that message when you attempt to send a text message to a land line. It might be that you have numbers stored in the wrong fields. For example, you accidentally stored the home phone in the mobile field.

Text message problem...help

So I seem to have a messaging problem I cannot figure out. I can't pinpoint exactly when it started happening but it was around the time I installed 7 RC 1 or nightly 38...
I only get my messages in bunches some time after they are sent. Its like after a while multiple texts get pushed through, just not when they were sent from the person. Sometimes i get multiple texts in the wrong order. I've also figured out the only way to get the texts to come through is when i call someone. Once i call someone, multiple texts push through.....really strange
Its like the phone has to actively access the network before is receives text messages...
I have no clue what this could be, any suggestions
in before... "this is in the wrong forum, learn to post in the right forum"
But try *228, updating the PRL, if not try reinstalling. If it still stays like that, go back to a stock 2.2 and then re root and go from there.
in before this gets moved to Q&A

SMS Notifies but won't open

I carried my HTC Desire in my pocket on a walk, when I looked at it at the end there was some moisture under the screen. I left it in rice over night and it switched on fine the next day.
Now, I receive notifications when people text me but I can't open the actual text message. When I view my messages in chompsms or the messages app, I see a green dot by the person who text me, but when I click the name, it doesn't show any messages they have sent me (since the moisture got in the screen) All I can see is messages I have sent them and messages they have sent me prior to this event.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks,
Tom

HOX SMS Hangs, Doesn't Send Sometimes

Sometimes when I am sending a text message, I'll compose the message and hit Send. Hours later, I will come back and the phone is still trying to send the message. I'm not talking about a failed sending of the message, the phone is still trying to send the message. The circle just spins and spins.
If I delete and re-send the message, or send another message, it usually fixes the problem. Restarting the phone flushes all of these hanging messages out and successfully send them.
My wife has the same phone (different color), with the same software, stock and root, and hers does this as well. We have both tried several text message apps, and they all do this.
Any idea as to what could be causing this or how I might fix this?
Thanks much!
