using aroma installer for any mod installation is cool. you might want to use it to install your rom. however, only a few member here know how to use it correctly. this thread is intended to introduce aroma installer to any rom devs here. I've made a simple aroma installer to install rom and kernel for any dev who want to use and learn about it. please don't expect any "wow" thing from this stuff. if you're a rom dev you should learn aroma installer by yourself. this stuff is only something I hope could help you understand the structure of aroma installer and how to make it by your self.

how to use:
1. open/extract the zip file
2. put your rom system file in /system folder as in your usual zip file
3. replace boot.img with your kernel
4. rezip the zip file

2. Put/replace in current system folder.
3. Zip and install via CWM
yup...its just as simply like that. replace the system folder with yours, rezip, done. the kernel is a test stuff so you might want to replace with something else. if every rom here using aroma installer, the other forum will be so envious. let's go up!!

There are several problems in the package. When I select "Install kernel" it shows installing kernel but near the progress bar it shows that its installing a rom. I tried to restore my backup using it and got problems such as bootloop, launcher not initializing etc. Will wait for any fixes..I need to put it in my rom so make it fast bro....

There is no boot.img in the package you gave. What should I replace?

Btw what files should I mod? There are 2 kinds of files namely " . txt " and the " .txt~ " ones.
put in the root folder. just like boot.img in previous version. I didn't put that kernel since it significanly increase the file size.

you can modify the script by yourself. if you don't want to make one, you can use the slot used to install busybox.

This rom it's based on 2.3.6(GAPPS are included)and it has many tweak that make speedy and smooth.

Installation guide credit to arsradu:
For installation, first, make sure you got Yodroid v15.2 ROM on your External SD Card.
After that, enter CWM and:
.select "wipe data / factory reset"
.go to "mounts & storage" and format /system. This is extremely important!
.under the same menu, format /sdcard (be careful NOT to format /external_sd by mistake)
.install Yodroid v15.2 (from the external sd)

yeah after that I tried this rom , I thought that gb rom are the best choice for everything (no offense for others dev)but maybe it's for the tweak implemented by the author of yodroid.
And i've tried to.contact the chinese dev for sharing his work on xda but nothing ,he doesn't answer me

There is no imei issue in this rom. For those who need to restore imei using mobile uncle tool everytime they install a new custom, just follow the easiest way described below.
STEPS:--
1. Make sure you have rooted your mobile and have root explorer installed or similar in your mobile phone.
2. Next download this tool=http://www.4shared.com/archive/ss4A23VB/IMEI_windows.html
3. Open a command prompt
-Press SHIFT+RMB(Right mouse button)
-open command window here.
-press enter
-A black window will appear with writing
-Enter the following text:
imei.exe <15digit_IMEI_1> <15digit_IMEI_2>
You can use a valid IMEI or IMEI generator to generate random IMEI's using this toolhttp://www.4shared.com/file/zhEXB80K/uig.html
(eg: imei.exe 123456789111111 123456789111111)
4. Press Enter*
If both IMEI you gave are in correct format the file named MP0B_001_NEW will*
be created. Now you can put it on the sd and insert that in to the phone.
Run root explorer
Copy it to - system need r/w need to be on:*
/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001
and make sure you rename the file "MP0B_001_NEW" to " MP0B_001"
And finally REBOOT your phone.

I din noticed any as it was written on the thread frm whr i ported. One thing i found is tht when u click on taskmanager button frm recentpanel it opens setting instead of opening taskmanager. Check it out and report.

Maybe you should rephrase that IMEI bug thing. Or just don't list it there.

Other users (on the A116) said that they lost their root access when they flashed SuperSU zip. Dunno, that's why I'd like this root issue to be confirmed.
i guess 0.8 is pre-rooted and 0.9 is not...

I have new Nubia ZTE Z5S Mini NX403A, there was hard to find information about upgrade and root so here it is, all in one thread!
When you buy Nubia ZTE Z5S Mini its came to you with Android 4.2.2.
When you plug in phone to computer by USB cable you can install USB drivers right from device. Make a backup of this drivers because after upgrade you will be not able to access it again.
There is a copy for you: USB drivers for ZTE Nubia Z5S Mini -> download
When the drivers will be installed turn on USB Debugging mode. (Settings->About Device, click a few times in Build Version to turn on Developers access. Now go to Settings->Developer options.)
First step is to root your device.
Root ZTE Nubia Z5S Mini – download
Download it and extract. Run íżbatROMdiyí┐╣Ąż▀¤ń.exe file.
Wait till your phone will be detected then choose option "05....." from the menu in CMD window.
If the installation will be completed then you will find two new icons Link2SD and SuperSU on your phone screen.
To install TWRP Custom Recovery you need to install Flashify app.
Download, extract and copy TWRP 2.8.6.1 Recovery into SD Card and also copy to SD Card file ui.zip with theme for TWRP with English language unless you know Chinese (more themes for TWRP here on XDA)
Install and run Flashify app. In app menu click on Choose File and select TWRP2.8.6.1-Recovery.img file from SD Card.
Confirm.
When your phone will reboot go to phone memory and inside TWRP catalog create new one called "theme" and put there ui.zip file.
Download an copy into SD Card these two files:
–Android 5.0.2 CM12 temasek-v9.4-nx403a.zip
–gapps-lp-20141212-signed.zip
NEW UPDATED ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62249397&postcount=4
Run phone in Recovery Mode. (Hold in the same time: Power button and Volume Up.)
From TWRP menu choose Wipe (Wipe your phone to factory settings before you will install new Rom)
After wipe choose from TWRP menu option Install.
Choose from SD Card temasek-v9.4-nx403a.zip file and confirm installation of new ROM.
Reboot your phone and enjoy your new system
If you want Google Play Store and other Google apps install gapps-lp-20141212-signed.zip file the sam way you installed ROM from TWRP Recovery.
You need root your phone again. Download and install SuperSU from Google Play
Go to Settings->Developer Options->Root Access and choose Apliactions and ADB
Run SuperSU, accept root instalation and choose CWM/TWRP option.
If you get "soft brick" of your phone you can recover it with this instruction.

When I upload it here it was free, now file is deleted, so you don't need to register, because there is nothing at all to download there. At the top of page there is info: "File no longer exist" and under that there are some ads about create account for money. So before you say something is spam, read it carefully please.

thank you so much. and may I know what is the best rom for this device? i've been flashing many roms but each rom has an issue, even the original rom has bug and when i play videos on youtube or facebook it's black and white and distorted. which rom is stable and has the least bugs?

I didn't find any bugs and YouTube app works fine for me.

I've seen it but it is for Nubia Z5s i think, because it's written nx503a. my device is nubia z5s mini which is nx403a.

Yep you re right. It is hard to find working/new soft for this smartphone.
