Xperia Arc Video With Stars

Hi to all
Am new here. I got my xperia arc yesterday! i am looking for a video which i thought was the stock video found on the xperia .. but i only got a Final Fantasy HD Demo video on my phone.
Am looking for this video !! can someone help me

I'm not sure what you want. Do you want that video on your phone? Or just to see that video?

If you want to show a nice demo on your Arc I suggest running com.sonyericsson.retaildemo.apk, it is hidden in the Arc. Found it with Titanium Backup. It includes the video you are looking for.

For retail demo function...just type *#*#73556673#*#* on your phone and the video will start. Retype *#*#73556673#*#* to deactivate the "loop"!

Got failed to play video...

I've lot of apps frozen using TB. Which are the ones required to run this app (apart from the "Retail demo"). Trying to run that "Retail demo" app using TB gives me an error "Failed to run video".

Nexus Media Importer: Cannot "Stream" video files. . . ?

I hope you can assist so I can take advantage of one of the great features of this App.
So, the bottom line is I cannot "stream" the videos on my flash drive when viewed through the application. Each video was made converting using Handbrake to an .MP4 file using the preset "Android High" setting. I've put the files onto a brand new Cruzer 32GB FAT32 formatted drive from Amazon. I then connect using my second purchase of a OTG cable from Amazon. Both cables recognize the files and read the information on them, but neither file will play them using DICE player, ES Media Player, MX Player, nor Vplayer.
The vids work fine once "copied" over to the device but then I think that defeats the purpose of carrying around the flash drive. . .please assist and let me know what I can do to get this working. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried speaking with the developer?
Nexus Media Importer Thread. That's his thread. He answers there. He's very helpful.
I have the app and it's played everything I have tried:

How are you encoding the audio? To what settings?
I have tested the app with a few flash drives (even some really old and slow ones) and it's worked out fine. But my main flash drives are these Kingston DataTraveler G3 32GB bought from newegg.
Contact the dev in his thread and maybe he can help you pinpoint the issue.
As a note: we use this QQ Tech USB-OTG Cable.

Try BS Player. I've had the best luck with that.
I've attached my Blu-Ray Tegra2 profile for Handbrake. The Nexus 7 should eat these for breakfast.

I tried BS player (free version) still had no luck. I will try your HB file you posted.
This has got to be something real easy. . .

Tried your Tegra2 profile you sent on a quick music video, still getting errors on every 6 different video players. Just saved the video to my device, played perfectly. . .
Again, still trying to solve for the "streaming" ability this app has. . .Is there another main setting somewhere I am missing?

There are no settings to mess with. I guess the next question, which should have been the first is what do you mean by they don't stream? Do you get an error, or does nothing happen? If nothing happens, it could be that the server is hung. Click disconnect and then scan. That will bounce the server.
Anyway, I just released 3.0.3 last night which seems to be very stable. Might want to give that a shot.

You might want to try converting with DVD Catylist, http://www.dvdcatalyst.com , I stream videos converted with DVD Catalyst all the tine with Nexus Media Importer.

Tried converting the file using DVD Catylist as recommended using the Nexus 7 profile, still nothing. . .

accessing amazon video

I downloaded some Amazon videos then hacked my kindle.. the videos are still there but I can't find them.. they are still taking up space..where are they?

OK so I found the videos... they are in mp4 format but it won't let me play them any ideas?

try using something like root exlporer then transfer them to your sdcard, then use another mp4 video player to view them, im pretty sure this work work as ive tried before, so just use another browser and go online to the actual amazon instant video website

I am running cm10 stable on my T-mobile S2(T989D).
I captured some videos witn my t989d, in gallerie when playing videos my phones say "cannot read video file" i check the DCIM directory, i found 2 files for each capture one named 123456789.mp4(Size=0Ko) & the second with the same name 123456789.mp4.tmp (Size=13569Ko).
Plz any one have a solution how can i play this videos?
Plz i need help; i know is not the forum for S2, but i dont find any issue like this on our forum.

Note2 not updating video library..

Hi guys,
im also a proud owner of a note 2 since yesterday, stepping up from a s3.
But i have a little problem witch i cant solve or understand by my self.
The problem:
When downloading, lets say an episode from a tv show threw aTorrent and it had completed download i cant find it in the video player app, it is like it is hasnt updated it yet.
When i go manualy threw my file folders i CAN find.
So it is in there.
The only way now to update the video player is to, or reboot the Note2 or wait for 30 some minutes before it shows in the video player library.
I didnt had this problem with the S3 as it updated the library almost instantly.
Is this a known bug? Or am i doing something wrong?
Is there a solution to this?

Never had this problem, i throw my episodes (arround 1gig each, HD) just on my External and Internal SD and its instantly in the video player, try force closing the video player and reopen it, maybe it does refresh then.

When I download picture messages, sometimes it takes a minute or so to show up in the gallery, so I know what the OP is speaking about. Not sure how to fix it though. I just clear RAM and check the gallery until it shows in there.

I have the same issue since s3 and I feel it's a bug from jelly bean. Bug is that media is not updated in the gallery. The only solution I found is to run the media scanner again. The easiest way is the "scan media" app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5kY2Quc2Nhbm1lZGlhIl0.
Just run it once after you download anything, after a couple of minutes, media will appear in gallery.

Glad to here it is a bug of some kind.
Now with the scan media app as sohebq has mentioned i can directly update the library with succes.
Lets hope this bug will be fixed in the next update.
