[Q] Have to dial 1 before answering calls.

For some reason on whatever ROM I use I have to dial 1 when someone calls me to answer it even after I press answer. Any help? Thanks

You have to go on your pc and take call screening off for google voice

i have no idea ive never used google voice. All i know is thats what you have to do if you have to press 1 to answer. But if your using google voice you must know how to get to the setting for google voice on pc

Has or does anyone have an apk for the Sprint VVM?
Google voice mail sucks for me as it asks me to press 1 every time a inbound call comes in.

You can change those settings in Google Voice. You have to do it in the Google Voice webpage but it works fine for me now I don't have to press 1 anymore

Here you go. It says cm9 but will work on any rom. Don't flash it, extract the apk and install normally.

Phantom voice mail?

How do I get rid of it?
Some googling told me I needed a second non android phone but I don't have one. It's there another method to get rid of it??

Try calling from another phone and leaving a voicemail. Then check your messages. Usually gets rid of my phantom icon

What do you mean they don't get through? Like you can't call and leave a voicemail or you can't call and listen to them?

If you want to get rid of phantom icon and all messages have been heard!
Nq Battery Manager.....after go to optimize and walla, GONE!

There was no app with that exact name
But there were two that were similar
One with a blue icon and one with a green icon
I tried optimize in both
I still had phantom voice mail

when i had the evo4g and had the phantom icon, calling vm from another phone, leaving a message, waiting for it to show up, then calling from own phone & listening to the message, then delete it. then make sure all other messages are a listened to, also.
if you call your own number from another phone & do not get your voicemail, then it might be time to check with your provider.

After checking apparently no one can leave me voice mail

Try going back to a stock rom and do hands-free activation through the dialer. Also update PRL and profile

Did you try it? did it work?

Curious to know what ROM you are running. I think the only time I got this was when I was running CM10 or CM10.1
It didnt seem to appear on AOKP or anything based off stock ROM

How to disable cellular or calls?

OK so I want to be able to stop people from calling me, let's say after 9 pm, I still want to use the phone but not for calls. I have Mr number to block calls I know and I can also take the sim card out, but is there an easier way by using an app for rooted phone or something? Thanks

Yeah, mine wont accept 4 digit password either.

Google Play version worked fine for me... on Collective AOKP 4.3

The app works fine but I dont see any transcripts, just voicemails. Am I missing anything?

No. AT&T Visual Voicemail doesn't transcribe the voicemail the way Google Voice does. It just provides a visual list/gui for voicemail navigation.
Also, I had trouble getting it to activate on any ROM that identified my I317 as a N7XXX variant. I'm back on CM 10.2 and it installs fine from the Play store.
You also have to make sure that you have the feature on your account. It should be on any account with 4G/LTE by default but they had to add it back to mine for some reason.

I believe it will transcribe If you pay att for it... I use voice though

Yes but you have to use their janky AT&T Messages app to get it.
