Hi I have my tmobile note 2 unlocked currently and using it with my att sim card my question I need help on is ...
The unlock process used was the free one that you punch in some numbers and go to phone control and was out by Galaxy note 2 root. Com now I want to flash at&t Rom based I know how but my fear is once I root it will I lose the unlock ... Thanks any help will be appreciated

AT&T Note 2 on Tmobile help rooting & roms

I have searched and haven't really found a complete Ambar to all my questions. I have an unlocked AT&T Note 2 being used on Tmobile. How do I root it and keep it unlocked do I use the AT&T root or Tmobile root and do I use AT&T ROMS or T-mobile roms? Thank you.

Since it's the at&t version, you use all of the at&t tools and ROMs

Take out your simcard place into the s4, take out his simcard place in your note. Done. Of course backup your phone and I would do a factory reset to wipe your data from your phone.

Unlocked (and rooted) Verizon Galaxy Note 2, hacked to t mobile.

Hey guys..
As the title says I unlocked (and rooted) my Verizon Galaxy Note 2, and I am now on the T Mobile service. I used the app called hiapn global and it worked great. But the problem is I'm only getting edge signal and I know H+ is all around. Now I know that I can't use LTE anymore because I'm not on Verizon's network. I know that there's different frequencies in the phones operations but I'm trying to find a way to get a better connection because I know people around me having a great connection on their normal t mobile phones
Any ideas or suggestions?
Ps, I'm new to Xda but I've been rooting, and hacking for years. So if anyone has any ?'s let me know!

i don't think the order matters but i personally would unlock then root.

Question: what should be done...

I unlocked my T-Mobile Note 2 and successfully changed carrier to Straight Talk using AT&T cell. My question is once the Kitkat update rolls out, do I have to install a T-Mobile rom or an AT&T rom? Or is there any alternative? Please advise.

Doesn't matter. AT&T or N7105 are fine. Stick to the T-Mobile modem and the rest is details. The AT&T & N7105 communities are fairly active.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
Am I interpreting this correctly, that you can just flash the att rom for a N7105 on the t889?

This morning I had some problems with my phone, so I had to reset the phone and reinstall everything. Thus far everything is good, I am more interested to know about AT&T rom on note 2, can we install it?

as long as the rom doesn't flash a new bootloader or modem (only a few do). you can flash at&t or n7105 roms
Nice to know... Thanks
