CM 10.1 advice - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I really hate the return home animation in CM 10.1. Its too long and drawn out for a simple action. Is there a way to disable it? Its the one that occurs anytime you return to the homescreen by hitting the home button or using the back button till it returns home.

I went and bought Nova Launcher Prime which is a good upgrade over trebuchet but I still would like to know.

Go into developer actions and change the duration of transitions to something short or off completely. That should do the trick.

ADW EX dock disappears, reboot necessary to bring it back

I'm on MIUI's latest and sometimes I long press on something and the whole dock disappears. I don't know how to get it back and if I press Menu I don't get any options for ADW EX. I have to reboot my phone to get my dock back. Does anyone know the shortcut to get the dock back?
I had the same problem using CM7, at times when I was landscape, I swyped or did something and it disappeared. Best thing you can do is long press the home screen, shortcuts, apps, and select your app drawer [just incase]. Otherwise you have to reboot. I switched to launcher pro plus and haven't had that happen to me anymore. [You can google search and download the full paid apk for it...just saying]
Swiping the dock up hides it. Swipe up and back down in one motion brings it back. The swipe is quite short in length.

adw launcher help

Hey all. Somehow this morning I looked at my phone and my ADW Launcher dock had changed. I am currently using the 3 icon dock bar, and the center button is now a star and when you click it, it says "No application defined yet, drop something here!"
It used to be the default center button, the one that opens your application drawer so you can choose one of the less commonly used apps. How do I get this button back on the dock? I couldn't find anything in the settings. I tried to reset ADW settings back to default, and restarted the phone. nothing. anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Long press the home screen like you are going to install an app or widget. Then you will see the option to add launcher actions.
Once you add a launcher action to the home screen drag it to the center action buutton. And Voila you are done.

Is there any wato wake from screen-off with the menu, back or home button?

As the title. I don't use a lockscreen and when I want to use my phone I just want to press a button & return to my last position.
The home button as it takes me back to my launcher.
I can't use the lockscreen button because the button needs to be pushed quite hard due to being in an Otterbox case.
Any ideas?

Are you using stock TouchWiz launcher or something else? I know some like Nova, etc., have the ability to assign what the Home button does. If you set it to "do nothing" - maybe it will just wake the phone and you'll still be in your last position?
Home button should wake your screen by default.
The home button also send me back to the launcher. It doesn't simply reopen the last active state.
I'm using nova launcher. I the Hutton crions it has only works when I'm at the launcher, not in the active app.

I'm not sure then. Button remapping is sorta what you're looking for but can't really get that on stock.
Lockscreen might be your solution for now? :silly:
I tried remapping. It just disabled my home/menu/back buttons. lol
I'm weary of custom roms for privacy & stability issues. I've tried some before but I feel as though it's too easy to slip in a back door without my knowledge. But I'm also a little paranoid. So maybe I should just suck it up and switch

[Q] Wake up phone with home key, I don't want recent apps

When I wake up my phone with the home key, it usually takes me the the "recent apps" screen (as if I long-pressed home), so I have to press 'back' to get rid of it. I just want it to turn the screen on.
I am running Slimkat 4.4.2 with Nova launcher. I can't find a setting on the rom or Nova to disable this.
It did the same thing when I was on Whomp rom (with Nova).
It doesn't seem to do this on the stock launcher. Is this a known Nova issue?
Anyone else have this issue, or a solution?
Thanks!
Mike
It could be nova launcher. I use apex and don't have this issue

I'm using CM 11 and since it's using 4.4.2 Kit Kat so I don't know if SlimKat have the same... you may solve it if you go to your phone settings - buttons - home button and put a check there. There are other adjustments under buttons setting you can find there too.
Good luck!

[Q] can nova launcher long press override cm11 long press?

I haven't seen this particular problem anywhere on the forum. Is there a way for NOVA Launcher long menu press to override the CM11 long menu press? I'm trying to use the long menu press to hide my dock but have not been successful. My Tab 3 7.0 running Rocket Tab will let me do it. I'm still not getting rid of NOVA and CM because it is just a minor issue but I'd like to know if anyone has been successful with it.
