[Q]How do i install persus kernel ?

Hi
I have small question
I installed Aroma 11 and now i want to install persus kernel,
I download the tar file Perseus-alpha31.2-n7100.tar and put it on my SD card
i installed TWRP and mobile odin
do i need to clear cache before i am installing kernel?
can i use mobile odin for this or i need to use TWRP?

When using ODIN you have to use the .tar version of the Kernel.
If you want to flash the kernel in TWRP or CWM you have to use the .zip version.
No need to clean cache for flashing a kernel, …but you know …it doesn't hurt either

The tar file can be installed with mobile Odin. In TWRP you'll need a zipped version of the kernel (for cwm). No need to wipe afaik.

Just use Mobile Odin if you got it. Load the kernel your heart so desires but leave all options as they are. Click the flash button or whatever its called. Easy as pie!

where do you add the perseus kernel in Odin? (PDA, CSC, Phone, Bootloader)
and can i install it with just stock rom? thanks

Set it in PDA and you will be fine
NOTE: Watch out for the repartition option...dont select it..be sure its not enabled!

Is it just me or this a bug. I've tried upgrading TWRP through goo manager like stated by the developer but it's still stuck on the older version. I would flash through recovery but the website has no cwm flashable file.

Yeah goo manager doesn't work sometimes. Download odin flashable tar and flash it via odin or mobile odin.

Here's what I did..
ROM: Stock Rom 4.1.2 (rooted)
Recovery: CWM 6.0.1.5
Download: Perseus-alpha33.4-n7100-CWM.zip (Perseus a33 thread)
Steps: Boot to recovery then install zip file OR install via ROM Manager (i tried both.. it worked for me)
ARHD + Perseus
ROM: Stock Rom 4.1.2 (rooted)
Recovery: CWM 6.0.1.5
Download: ARHD 13.0 (ARHD 13.0) and Perseus
Steps:
install ARHD from recovery or using ROM Manager(follow recommended steps in AROMA Installer; i did not check the force rendering GPU)
wait to reboot to finish install
install Perseus (from recovery or ROM Manager)
That's it!

How to update CWM v5.5.0.4 to the latest from CWM Recovery mode

Hi All,
I am stuck in CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4 on my S3 while flashing CM11. I read that I need the latest CWM to flash this.
How to I update CWM from the recovery mode? Where can I find the zip file?

Download the latest version of Philz Touch for the d2lte (it's based on CWM) and flash it via CWM or use Odin to flash it.

Thanks so much for this - I have looked at the how to install the rom but can i ask one question? I tried to install the custom recovery in TWRP which found the device but when installing it ran the TWRP 2.6 and not 2.7.0.1 and when i tried to reboot in recovery i got a bootloop so had to reflash the stock rom. I am not sure if this caused the bootloop but because I dont want to make the same mistake again so can you step me through how to get the recovery ready prior to Intalling the rom in twrp??

first you must be on the 4.4.2 bootloader to flash this rom (flash P605XXUCNE2 with odin) 2 :make a fullwipe 3: flash TWRP 2.7.0.1(LTE) with odin 4: flash xKat v3.1 .The end

custom recovery for p605

wanna install any custom recovery for p605 I downloaded "philz_touch_6.04.3-lt03ltexx.tar" but the recovery mode doesn't open only blur screen
I want any link for twrp or cwm for p605 ​

Need help in installing custom rom

I just flashed agat recovery 0.2.2 and i tried to install cm 11 on my phone but i got a error 7 and i dont know what i am doing wrong.

You will need to install cm10 BEFORE installing cm11 because you need cwm recovery to flash cm11 and cwm recovery is in cm10.

Don't bother flashing gapps or other zips, just flash the rom then boot into cwm recovery do a full wipe and flash cm11.
