[Solved] GTA III black screen when starting

Anyone else getting this? Using Revolution Rom + siyah kernel.
I downloaded the game over 3g.

*Edit* 3g download was the culprit. Downloaded a second time over wifi. All good now.

works fine for me using VillanRom3.0 with RAGEMod 1.1b
are you using chainfire3d?

I wasn't. Then I tried with it. No luck. Must be a download pb. I will start again when I have wifi tonight.

You have to remember that it isn't an officially supported device so there is no promise that it will work.

That's not what I heard (Engadget news and market comments)...that's why I bought it on the market (if it's there, it's compatible, right?)

I assumed too that being on the market it is compatible. I'll download it over wifi in a few hours after work.

Rockstar made a mistake with the compatibility part, it'll show compatible with even LG GT540
However, Galaxy S2 is OK and is working fine. Just uninstall all, reboot, reinstall and use WiFi to download the files. DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN at any point, unless it's impossible to continue (e.g. "Touch screen to continue", and even then press it only once.). When the gameplay starts, it'll work fine.

So it is? I read one of R* comments on their blogs and they said SGS2 isn't compatible right now because of diffulitites in the hardware.

Works for me with no plugin loaded in chainfire3d. I had to download the data twice because first time it would hang when loading, this is when I tried all the plugins in chainfire3d and none would get past a black screen. I deleted the data (com.rockstar.gta3 folder) from android/data then downloaded it again and it worked. Im on villain by the way. Good luck.

Did you UV/UC your cpu/gpu?

I haven't touched anything. All other games work fine. From the main Gta thread one guy with the same setup has the same pb, while another dude has it working. I bet it was a dl pb. Will check tonigjt.

Works great for me, except that my save games from iOS don't work, it crashes the game right after it's done loading

The first screen takes a while to display the cinematic intro, so give it some time. It'll display Rockstar games and stuff after a few seconds.

What? GTAIII works fine on my SGS2 and it loads up fast. No problems, smooooth as

Solved. Downloaded again over wifi. Works great now, no cf3d requiees. Edited 1st post. Thanks for replies.

Not Working
While my game starts up fine with the Rockstar Cine coming up immediately, I still can't play the bloody game!!
The game starts.
I goto Start Game -> New Game
And this is where the problem occurs. The loading bar goes till 80-85% and then freezes there.
Do you think the Download is an issue (I used Wi-Fi @ 2Mbps. Dled in appx 20-25mins)!
I could really use some help here, guys!

Man, I just can't get this thing to work. I'm such a GTA fan.. And not being able to find a way to get the game to work is getting to my nerves. Isn't there nobody who can solve or atleast answer as to why this keeps happening?

[Game] Dungeon Hunter 3

Anyone playing this? This was turning into my favorite game since they added multiplayer but now its unable to start. Has anyone else had this problem. I would hate to have to reinstall the game and loose my progress but I'm not sure when a fix is coming for it. Any ideas?

Use titanium backup and backup the app data before you screw around. Does it work at all on the N7?

It worked prior to the update, now its in a bootloop. I was starting to think that it was a problem with jellybean devices b/c I had the same problem on my phone but after trying again it now works. I've been reading the comments and it seems that the problem may be due to it not recognizing wifi only as an internet connection.

No problem here.
Everything was working fine until yesterday I noticed there is an update for it. I ignored it at first but when launch the game it stuck at the black loading screen. I went back and installed the update and everything worked again.
off topic, anyone has tip on how to use archer? I can't seem to get the control the shooting direction.

No problem here. Awsem now multi player.. Iphone has it for a while I believe..

Kind of off topic and on topic. I notice this is free in the Play store...Gameloft doesn't do free...so is this a "in app" purchase kind of game?

Yes, it's much like their other recent "free" games like MiB3, Ice Age Village, etc. where to get to the better items/unlocks you end up having to buy the extras via in app purchases.

I tried this game and don't like it. The first dungeon hunter was an actual game. I don't know where it turned into a "survive the wave" game.
Heroes Call THD is very similar but an actual, raid the dungeon and loot that mofo, game

It freezes because it's insufficient ram while playing. Try to close some apps before playing.

It work fine for me. With no lags at all and sometimes i have a lot of apps work background. I have cm10 a2 from arco. With no tweaks and anything else at all. Pure cm 10. I also got need for speed most wanted, dragon slayer, bia 2, blood and glory, real football 13 and much more..

Try using some gaming tweaks and RAM tweaks such as Supercharger6, game booster, RAM manager, and so on. Maybe some bloatware stock system apps can be freezed or uninstalled in order to free RAM usage, because usually some stock system apps run in background. Hope this helps..

I'm facing the same problem too with my InDroid V6 REMICS ROM too! Its playable but only when things get nasty like when you hit against a wall with your car during the start... Although Dead Trigger seems to work fine... btw, can you give me the link for your CM10 a2 ROM thingy?

Working Fine now...
I've installed CM10 Alpha 3 and GTA lll works fine but with a few lags... No freezes like my old ROM... I also installed Supercharger V6, TweakZ, Bravia Engine and Geeky Engine MOD on my device and it seems to have no improvement whatsoever.... At least GTA3 work :good:

I would get the same problem aswell. Mid way through a race, the game would just close.. But I'm going to play it with the new .96 phone fw, See the game plays out

Try to use a different kernel, with some boost on graphic performance. Otherwise you can flash the newest JB .96 firmware. It has a nice performance. Also you can try some ram managers for gaming like gamebooster. :good:

i have the same problem my phone is lgl5 with 4.1.2 menu ok , but when i begin a race it crash and lag!!
i tried it a lot of time and sometimes it start and i can play !! little lag my phone with antutu is 4500! ):

For me its working, but lags are unacceptable. (UB, .211)

asphalt 8 crashes on my xolo play as well... it used to work when i first got the phone but ever since i changed my primary memory from internal to sd card, it crashes right after the gameloft logo... it still works when i change my primary memory back to internal but i have only 2.2gb internal available so i cant play any other game if i want to play asphalt... and asphalt isn't the only game with this problem... all gameloft games don't work which is really a frustrating issue... my phone is stock unrooted and i really need help...

now even high graphic is enabled after changing my device name to GT-I9505 and it works fine. Lags were appearing due to lack of ram, reflashing rom solved the problem(runs smooth as butter on med), but sadly there is no AA.

Weird, can you hit these cars?

I have Karbonn A9+ . its a cheap under 100 $ phone. I can play it on high graphic too after changing my device model to GT-I9505. Gets about 35-40 fps on low and 20-25 on high. Only problem is it doesnt load Tokyo map. neither on low nor on high . hope they give some update

i have an xperia play ( quite old ) but i enjoy the game pad, but when i race it crashes , and i have not found any fixes, is there any thing i can do?
btw the tutorial works fine

Actually its not weird.Its having traffic coming from other side even on med graphic.Traffic cars dippers when coming towards them.If u hit them ur car wrecks

Unable to play Gameloft HD Games

Hello everyone, sorry for posting this "weird" threat, but am having issues playing Gamesloft HD games on my device, I downloaded Modern Combat 5 and 6 guns, when I open them, I get an error as seen in the attached image.
Even though am connected to a good Wi-Fi network, I tried my carrier internet too but no luck, when ever i click retry, it shows that error again, I used to have this issue on my Galaxy Grand, solved it by using a VPN "As i live in Sudan, we have economical embargo", clearing the game data and google play services data as well, but all those methods does not work anymore on my AT&T Note 4 SM-N910A Kitkat 4.4.4
Any help would be much appreciated.

All of the other games are working smoothly such as Need for Speed Most Wanted, Real Racing 3, Contract Killer 2 and Dead Trigger..

If other Gameloft games work, then it's a problem with the game. You need to contact Gameloft directly to report the problem. Dont just browse their support page. Email or call them.
You'll get better help doing that than asking here.

I mailed them already, twice, besides I did not check other Gameloft games as am intersted in their HD Games only, but will try other games and tell u, thanks for the reply guys.

Well, I installed Spider-man Unlimited it downloaded normally, and works fine with no errors, what would be wrong with the other games I tried also uninstalling google play store updates but :crying: NOTHING HAPPENED!

Gangster city and Despicable Me are all working fine, is not that Strange?

I updated the google play store and google play services, cleared the games data, re-lunched, but still the same error.

You may have no choice but to reset your device.
