I've been facing this issue for 2 days now. My keyboard is floating over everything else. It floats even over the pulled down notification, over SCREEN FILTER app and even over the trail given by sPen. What could be wrong? This is very annoying
It is so for any keyboard that i use. (Tried Swiftkey other than stock). I tried to wipe data of Samsung Keyboard, i cleared all the settings of Samsung Keyboard and neither helped. I'm on stock ROM 4.1.2 and non rooted. Anyone?
Try factory reset. Maybe some kunda setting.

Take out your battery, put it back in, restart. If they still don't work, flash a different kernel.

Can some one please check. I rooted the phone and the buttons were working after that. But they stopped working after I installed unlock sgs app from market. Did anyone faced any of these issues.
Problem is all the 4 buttons didn't work no LED light and no function.
I have the kernel version of 2.6.35.11. Which one you think is good.
took the battery out and restarted. But no effect. Still same. Any help will be greatly appreciated

None of the unlock apps from the market work on the T-mobile/Telus version of the sgs2, so maybe that might be the problem? Try uninstalling it..
Or try wiping dalvik cache?
If that doesn't work, backup the apps and stuff using titanium backup and flash the rom/kernal again (factory wipe, wipe dalvik cache and other cache)
Yeah try uninstalling that app then reboot into recovery and clear your dalvik cache.

Alright well then you're going to have to do a full wipe and re flash the ROM.
Not positive that will work, but it's your only option at this point. If that doesn't work, it might be a hardware problem.
EDIT: I guess you could try clearing both caches and flashing the same ROM without a full wipe.

any idea how to do that

Put the ROM on the root of your external sd card, reboot into recovery, go to backup/restore and do a backup, wipe data, clear cache, go to advanced and clear dalvik, go to install zip from sd, choose zip from sd, then click on the ROM .zip file.
Let me know if you need help.

Damn, definitely call Tmobile and get a replacement sent out. Just make sure to return your phone to stock before sending it back. Tell them you have already done a factory reset to save yourself some time.

Hi ken,
I did the exact same thing that you did. I was trying to unlock my Tmobile Galaxy S2 with that very same app and after that ,,,boom,,, the soft buttons all stopped working... no lights at all...I'm only able to use the touchscreen but not the buttons. I've researched a lot and a lot of people have suggested flashing different kernels and I've done that too but haven't been able to fix it even till today. Please let me know if you've figured it out. Thanks.

do the buttons work when you are in recovery?? If they work there then, it is a ROM issue, if they don't work in recovery, time to warranty exchange ...

Reboot in recovery and do a data/factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot. Chainfire 3D doesn`t work on Jellybean afaik.

I've run into a situation where my gn2 will not start an app when I tap on an app icon. Instead it just returns to the home screen. If I reboot it goes away for awhile. I've tried clearing the cache and the davlik cache, but it still happens. Any suggestions? Thanks!
What os are you running? Stock or a rom

Thanks for responding! I'm using the stock JB (with the recent update to 4.1.2). I'm rooted and have team win recovery 2.3.3.1 installed using Goomanager.
Do a full wipe of the device, both system and data, and re-flash your ROM. Clear all caches again too.

I'd try the following. Uninstall the app, reboot. .. reinstall and reboot again. ..

Thanks for that suggestion. Since I just recently installed the sammy upodate to 4.1.2 I was hoping there was another option to try. Your method may be what I will need to do.

Good suggestion. However it's not a particular app. It happens to all of them at once. When I reboot, it goes away (temporarily). I agree it may have started with a particular app, however I have no way (that I know) to figure out which one it is. I'm also only running apps I've used for a long time. Nothing really new which might have brought along some baggage.
hi need some help. I noticed today I could rotate into landscape when in youtube. I then tried in web browser, gmail, ect... nothing rotates. I was on JediXP12 when this happened. I tried restoring a backup from when was just stock rooted. I am currently downloading the odin stock version to try that but didnt know if anyone encountered this before or had any suggestions...
Thanks for any help in advanced....
edit: never mind...ODIN back to stock seemed to fix it...
A simple reboot would have solved the issue.

I hate to he captain obvious, but did you go into settings and enable auto rotate?
Sent from my SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I did do a simple reboot. I ticked and unticked screen rotation, I wiped cache and dalvik cache, I also did a factory reset. I also reflashed with full wipe the jedi rom and clean roms. Non of those options worked.
So no a simple reboot was not the answer. The only thing that worked was Odin back to stock like I stated.
Thanks anyways guys...
