Ive been using Picasa for years.
I also use Google drive for a few things. Uploaded 23gb of mp3s to Google music a while back and I've been streaming them since. Neat feature I think.

For pictures use the g+upload feature and any pics under 2048*2048 are free to stir as well as videos shorter that 15 minutes. G+also has the ability to auto size then to the max free size as well.

I'm just using the direct upload to my Dropbox. If I need space, I can just delete the stored ones on the phone and use Dropbox with its own gallery. I also like the integration with windows.
My other clouds:
gDrive for titanium backups
Skydrive for easy document sharing with windows 8 and office 13
Box for anything
I find that every cloud services has its own positives and negatives, but couldn't find an aio solution which suits my needs perfectly. However... As long as it's free

Dropbox
Box
My computer (doesnt count but I like it most haha)

Box - 50GB
Dropbox - 51.1GB
SkyDrive - 25GB
Google Drive - 5GB
SugarSync - 6GB
I would suggest managing these cloud drives by using 'SanDisk Memory Zone'.

I use Google+ for picture storage. I have it set up to auto upload anytime a picture is taken or added to my gallery
Box: 3 50 gb accounts (*Really have no idea why but they were giving the storage away so I took it*)
Media Fire: 50 gb for ROM's, themes, wallpapers, etc pretty much anything phone related goes here
Dropbox: 50 gb's for 2 years because I had an SIII

Google+ for full res photo backup. Unlimited storage
Google drive- is it 5gb? carbon backups for all devices.
Dropbox-65gb (HTC incentives) for whatever
Mega- 50gb for whatever. This is the new mega upload. Same owner.
Box-50gb free from nexus 4 incentives.

I've just uploaded all of my music to Google Music and play via the browser, or I mix it up with Pandora. For local playback I use VLC.
Foobar2000, I love all the options it has. It takes a bit to set up, but it's totally worth it in my opinion.

I hate iTunes but use it because it syncs with TuneSync (which syncs my galaxy nexus and my tablet installed in my car when i get home)
I used foobar for a while but missed recently added playlist, and it was very hard for me to get used too.
I don't think this thread should belong in a Nexus forum. But to answer the question, Foobar2000. Second is Clementine.
*Another for foobar

Yep! Same here. I have all of my songs on iTunes and all my music on iTunes is automatically updated to Google Music. Best of both worlds.
I use Windows Media Player at home to listen to my local library. Pandora when I want to listen to something new. And I use Google Music when I'm on the go.

Which Office App should I use for Nexus 7?

I installed a couple of Office Suite from Amazon Free App of the Day on my phone. I am wondering which one is the best for the Nexus 7. I can download other free alternative if it is even better. Thanks!
List of Office Suite that I have from Amazon:
OfficeSuite Professional 6
Quickoffice Pro
Documents to Go 3.0
Or should I go to a free one?
I like quick office pro, and I think I remember them being bought up by Google docs or something like that not too long ago. I can't remember I'll have to do some searching.

Kingsoft office... And it is free

I have Office Suite Pro that I got for free.... so that's my only choice.
I used Polaris on my old transformer and I liked it. There is a really good comparison between the various office apps some where online. I think someone from the Asus transformer forums did it.
Some allow you to only read and not edit. I can't see really having to edit or create documents on the go, but I guess some people do. As long as I can open them, I'm good. Since you have access to them all, won't you simply try each one and tell us what you like better?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I have always used quickoffice pro on my 10" tablet, and I installed it on my nexus 7 and it works great. I also got those three office apps from amazon, and quickoffice pro seems to be the least buggy
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
CloudOn is one of the best office apps I've seen, although you need to be on wifi and have a box, dropbox or Google drive account (or all 3) as it only reads from cloud storage. They match the office ui almost exactly and have support for Excel, Word, and Power Point docs. Also it only works on tablets.
Sent from my Nexus 7
QuickOffice Pro HD is great, though you'll need to pull the APK off another device, it doesn't think it works on the N7.
Which office suite would be best for a student? I'm looking at Smart Office 2. Anyone tried it? I believe its on sale now for $1.98

Quick office HD.
Think it shows not compatible in the play store, but it works fine.
You can link it to all your cloud storage accounts.
It has really advanced features that mean you can create documents as if they have been made on the PC.
I think quick office were acquired by Google not so long ago but I might be wrong on that.

[Q] Where does Google Play Music store files on the Gnex?

When I pin files to be stored locally on the phone, I can't find them anywhere. There are 2 reasons I care.
1. Every time I flash a new rom, I have to re download the files.
2. I can't get winamp to find the files.
I tried googling it, but the only thing I could find was that it is stored on the sd card under data and play music, but the folder is empty when I check it.
Anyone with any ideas?

I actually found them. Unfortunately, the song files are named numerically so I don't know if I can just transfer them back to that directory after clearing cache. The files are stored in the root directory at:
/data/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music

Google does not let you use them other than on your phone through Google play because you can pirate the songs if they let you transfer them freely. Its copy right infringement

Screamin streamin (or lack there of)

Hello all, I have recently been trying to stream media to my note 2 via some sort of cloud storage. I have been looking for a way to use my phone to play movies I have stored on Cloud Data such as Dropbox. Dropbox does not allow you to stream data past a certain size so I cannot play any file that is longer than a couple minutes. I would like to stream this data to both my note 2 as well as Transformer infinity. Can anybody help me with a cloud storage that supports streaming? Or even better perhaps an app that will allow me to stream this data.

I use Plex. I know it's not cloud storage, but it works too well not to mention. You install Plex on your PC and point to your videos, music or photos. Then install Plex on your phone and you can now stream everything. Clean user interface and great support.

there's plex.
also i use bubble upnphttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp
quote from their description.. "UPnP Media Server: play your local phone/tablet media to other devices or to your Android device (standalone media player). Browse and play your local phone/tablet media from other devices (PS3, WMP, ...). Able to browse the SD Card. Google Music and Dropbox streaming supported"
Avia supports streaming directly from dropbox, although admittedly I haven't uploaded and entire movies just home videos. Also RealPlayer Cloud and Google Photos will let you stream. I have been using google photos and with the new pricing plan you can get all your movies on the cloud pretty cheap. The best way in my opinion is to hook up a hard drive to your router and stream from there using any UPnP app.
