But there is a huge problem with the phone calls .... it always shows phone process gorse closed whenever I make a call or receive a call

The Nitro HD isn't running ICS; how would ICS "tab mood" be opened?
I'm running Android 4.0.4 on my nitro HD

Tried that and same problem.
Most importantly, my eyes seem very uncomfortable under this mod..... thus I switch back

Unfortunately that is still over my head. I kind of understand, but I have never flashed a rom and don't know what a "nightly" is. I've got some reading to do.
Nightlies are builds that are created each day and its easy to flash these. And yes reading is a good thing to do if your new to that. There is a lot of great information in these forums.

Hi,,
This problem is related to my gf's Gio, and she's driving me crazy to solve this
Well, a few days ago I flashed a CM ROM on her Gio, everything ok, Gio is great and so on, but her facebook app stopped updating the feed and she can't comment or send messages to anyone, she can only put "Likes" on the first feed page.
I thought it could be a problem related to the rom, flashed the adrenaline ROM and the problem remains, I unistaled, cleared data and unistaled, nothing happens.
Can anyone give me an idea?
Thx in advance

That person was pretty much trying to help you. A little respect is always welcome..
Anyway..
"unistal try and continue to update his facebook"
Uninstall the facebook application. Reinstall, try if it works.
If that was the case, my apologies to him. No disrispect was intended.
Anyway, on my first post I mentioned that I already did that: "I unistaled, cleared data and unistaled, nothing happens."
use an alternative facebook app, the normal one is slow, buggy.

+1 - Facebook apps sucks big time. Look at the comments on market, most of them are negative. I'm using FriendCaster, it's pretty fast...
Well, I tried the older version of facebook app and it is working.
If you wanna try it: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kyf6f8rm18uuss6/ZqPktHHXmO/Facebook_1.7.2.apk
It's lighter than the newer version, and it is working properly
None of them works for me in cyanogen Rom.
But all of them work fine in stock.

Damn, the problem returned even on the older facebook app. Suddenly its impossible to coment and doesnt update...
Sometime i faced same issue...
But now i always used Friendcaster Pro.
U can search on Google Play

But it has no chat...
Is there any facebook app with chat? (without the official) I know that there's a facebook chat app, but she would have to use 2 apps intead of one.
I'm using CM9 Beta 8 and I do receive FB updates and feeds, but when I click on a post, the post is blank.

Hi guys, first of all sorry if I type something wrong because I'm not a native english speaker and second thanks so much for the attention you give to many people.
Aneyways, today I decided to change my ROM and I installed the latest ROM in the forom: TweakWiz. It´s an amazing ROM because its so different from the CM and related themes that are a little bit dark. Ok everything was going fine until I opened facebook and it crashed, the same happened with its messenger and I tried with twitter and no problem.
I re installed facebook but it doesnt works, can anybody help me?
Thanks in advance

I'm glad you like TweakWiz . Ostream is a good replacement for Facebook. Download it and see if it FCs.

Ohh, I understand what's happening to you. The app opens but right away it closes.
I have installed Facebook 3.1, the latest version. It makes my CPU hit 55 to 60 degrees (Celsius) which is NOT good as my cpu begins to throttle. I can verify this in franco.kernel updater and by running quadrant also the top of my phone is getting really hot.
As soon as I uninstall Facebook my temperature drops to 30 degrees and only goes up to about 45 when doing something like going on Twitter... Why is Facebook doing this when I use it the most on a daily basis..
Also I notice that my phone stays warm-ish even when I am not using the app (facebook isn't keeping the device awake however). I am so confused as to why Facebook is doing this.
P.S I have also tried a later version of facebook and it does the same thing. Please someone clarify that it isn't my phone going wacko and its the app and also its fixable? I do like to go on Facebook when i'm out the house as I keep in contact with people on it
I dont see how Facebook can cause this. I dont use Facebook myself. But maybe try using the web version instead until you find a solution.

I could try but I am so used to getting push notifications to my phone i'd end up forgetting and go the entire day without checking which is bad as I have important things that I need to keep an eye on on facebook.
I dont know if you have access to it man but undervolting or even under clocking a notch if you have the ability will work wonders for that issue

I've noticed improved battery life after getting rid of the Facebook App, can't really remember if I noticed any heat change though.

I tried it and didn't like it, also everytime someone tagged me in something it wouldn't show up or even notify me.
Also in reply to lesp4ul I tried what you said but my phone still gets hot. Facebook seems to be constantly requesting access to the CPU. I notice that when facebook is installed Franco Kernel updater tells me that the frequency jumps from 384MHz to 700 all the way to 12xxMHz and does this over and over again with no stops, this makes the temperature jump around all over the place and it is hogging the performance of my phone.
After uninstalling it sits at 384MHz and only moves very rarely (unless i'm touching the screen etc). Again obviously the temperature stays at around 30 degrees. My guess is that the app is just not what it used to be in terms of coding structure.

Well I don't. And I don't want to have an inbox spammed full of notifications thanks.
Anyway I feel I have found a version of Facebook that is working correctly. Facebook 2.0 doesn't make my phone hot or drain lots of battery for that matter.

Don´t know about other replacement apps but you can disable all notifications in the app and greenify it. This way it will not run permamently in the background, eat your ram and slow down the device.

well thanks i will try that
Or you could do a browser search for the Facebook login page, then when you have it, bookmark it and send a shortcut to your home screen.....you won't get fb notifications this way, but at least you'll still have easy access to it without having to rely on the resource draining app....
