[Solved] Mute issues

I know that this issue was not there in CM 7.1 stable. After i flashed the latest 7.2 RC1 and the nightlies that were uploaded henceforth, am having this issue.
Issue: Mute button just places the mute icon in the status bar, but does nothing.
The ROMs that are currently in development use this rom as the base - MIUI Beta 6, Lewa V6 and so on. These Roms are awesome and i like them a lot. But the main problem, is sometimes i need to be on bridge calls for about 20 to 25mins to resolve technical issues related to my job. And most of the time, i would prefer to be muted when am not talking. So its kind of frustrating that am unable to use these ROMs.
This was posted in the dev section. But i just got bootloops and didnt solve my issue:

I flashed the file from post 53 [it is for i9000 device, probably because of that] i got stuck on the splash screen and booted again and again.
Is there any patch that i can install over these ROMs that help me mute my phone or should we wait for the CM team to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure if this is a CM7 issue - to be honest I think if there indeed was an issue with muting it should be solved in the 7.2 stable. The OP was reporting the issue for RC1 and nightlies - are you using the stable?

No, I think it is RC1. I have switched to other ROM and fixed the issue. thanks.

He has fixed it in the immediate next version after V7.2.0 stable. All nightlies after that would have this fixed.
If you want just the Phone.apk fixed, replace the apk from the below nightly and replace using root explorer or es file explorer.

If you still wana know how to decompile and modify the mute bug, read the above post i made to arco.. you must make that change using apktool

CM10 FXP 147 bugs on Arc

I just updated from FXP 145 to 147 and i experience some bugs with this new update:
1. The home button doesn't work...it doesn't take me to the homescreen when I push it.
2. The lockscreen doesn't work as well..the screen is turning off and thats all.
3. I can't acces settings from the status bar..i tapp on the settings icon but nothing happens.
Does anyone had this problems and fixed them?

I can confirm the same exact bugs on updating to CM10 FXP147. It appears to be a kernel problem. I wiped then downgraded to the FXP146 ROM and still had the same bugs: cannot lock the screen and home button doesn't work.

I can also confirm these issues and I add:
4. (Physical) Camera button doesn't do anything
Update: Running with 146-kernel didn't help...deleted #5, TitaniumBackup caused the reboot issue

Nobody????????

I rolled back to FXP146 and everything seems to be working.
Edit: Rolled back to 145 also...since 146 kept locking at reboot *solved (Issue was TiBackup)
Shame I can't make a post in the mother thread (don't have 10 posts), can anyone highlight this thread in there maybe?

I don't have any of these problems, I'm on 147 using Arc Fusion 3.9
However I have a gps problem which I've seen others have.
I wiped before flashing 147 and restored data from 146

Could it be a problem from kernel ?? I have stock kernel. Could someone recommend me a kernel?

You mean you do have the Sony ICS stock kernel?? Then I'd recommend you take the one which is coming with the rom, inside the zip file. There you will find the according boot.img which gives you the right kernel. Other than this there's this fusion kernel and another I forgot.

Youtube works fine with 147 for me , though I have to set a specific profile for it

You'll have to flash and find out, I recommend Arc fusion 3.9. I had some problems with lupus v4 (though I think I remember reading it was going to be updated soon)
You'll need to flash on modules too

I'm using the kernel included in the release for every version (been using CM10 since FXP 134).
I always do full wipe of cache, dalvik and data.
How can this release work so badly for just a few of us?
I see only old posts in the main thread about these buttons not working...if it was a general problem there would be fixes and discussions there.
So how can we find out why it is affecting us?
Is there a tool for troubleshooting?
Is there anything else we can do previous to the install to make sure we don't get these bugs?

FXP148 is working well for me, none of "our" bugs are there.:good:

I flashed the latest firmware .562 and now I wait the fxp 149 release to install it on my phone, hopefully I will get rid of all that bugs..

Hello, I think maybe you didn't wipe everything because i don't have those issues. However, if there are any bugs then report them to FXP through their bugtracker

well i upgraded from CM9 FXP 123 to CM10 FXP 148 but iam using the kernel from the FXP 147 ( idk if there are any changes in theses kernels )
and i got no problems youtube works homebutton works aswell.
i've done the regular steps full wipe ( data, cache and dalvik ) and then installed the CM10.

i cant install any apk on my galaxy nexus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plz help me since yesterday i cant install any apk and i dont khow why i reinstal the rom a new version (paranoid android 3.56) i was thinking is a bug but no help plz

Wipe data/factory reset, reflash ROM
Or search PA's thread for similar experiences from other users.
And PLEASE, write in ENGLISH. Jeez.

so I am going to take a shot in the dark here......are you using the new holo notifications? If so, while it is enabled you CANNOT click install. This is a security feature implemented into android by google which cannot and will not be changed. This has been covered multiple times in probably every official PA thread. If this is infact not the case, please be more specific as to what the problem is.
If what I mentioned is the problem, close/disable holo and install the apk then simply re-enable holo.

You should start troubleshooting by following these easy steps:
1. STOP TOUCHING YOUR DEVICE
2. READ
3. AFTER READING THE FIRST TIME, READ AGAIN
4. REALIZE HOW STUPID IT WAS FOR YOU TO CREATE A THREAD ON SUCH A WELL KNOWN THING
5. HANG HEAD IN SHAME or alternatively PUNCH YOURSELF REPEATEDLY FOR NOT SEARCHING FIRST

Just in case someone comes here with the same problem, but Halo isn't the cause...
I faced this issue for the same reason (Halo) BUT while looking into it I found that some people had another

Font issue solved by changing dpi. Camera is having bug. Back cam always show green. Front cam is perfect. Gravity box nt cmpltly work. Android L lock screen not always work. Second sim unable to search network.

1st of all thanks a lot for this wonderful rom!!I had the 'no network' problem but after I changed the modem.img with the stock modem.img file and flash it,network problem is solved!!And I changed the dpi to 294ppi in settings>system>lcd display>change density to whatever u like>custom>294 and reboot.So no large icon/font problem.Just thought of sharing..
I'm waiting a long time for lollipop themed rom and here it is!So again many many thanks for this rom!!

icons are too large...the large icons check box is already not ticked...nd camera is grenn and shows only 8mp after intalling the fix also..rom simply awesome..except fr icons. nd camera...still checking for bugs..hope u would give us a better solution !..bro another fix i need..vault app nt working..cant change wallpaper

I will try to fix camera issue and second sim

Second sim issue fixed by replaceing modem.img from any other rom. Osm rom bro.. Keep up the good work. Just need to solve camera issue. M trying to fix as well.

Maybe your download didn't finished correctly. Download rom again

Camera patch still not working.. I have flashed it as well as cleared cache partion and dalvik cache. I have also cleared data of camera. No luck. Some body else please check and report.

Sure front cam is working perfectly but back cam is nt.. I will check new one and will report back..

New FIX has stock camera&gallery and A210 stock files. It must be OK now

Just tried the new camera fix and it's not working.

P8000 can't connect to camera

Hello everyone!
I'm having trouble with the P8000 camera.
Every time I open the app, it says it can't connect to the camera and that I should close any apps that may be interfering with the camera or flash. Other apps that may use the camera give me a generic message telling me the camera can't be found or is in use.
After many, many hours : I have so far tried :
- Eragon 3.0 + camera fix (neither worked)
- Vibe 2.9
- Flyme
And I have also tried these stock roms :
- K05TS-A.A.vA0W.E1.150909 (which is the most recent available)
- K05TS-A.A.vA0L.E1.150725 (an older one since I figured I could try a downgrade)
None of these ROMs have fixed my camera that used to work fine when I first got the phone :/
Has anybody got a solution to this problem?

If you really made a WIPE before installating Eragon and/or Stock ROM it sounds like there might be something wrong with your phone as both of those are confirmed to work well with the camera.
And i assume we are talking about the original camera app, not any 3rd part apps?
Anyway, the original app should work even with 150725 as the camera fixes was only to address problems with 3rd part camera apps...

incorrect you need to delete caches using custom recovery then flash eragon 3.0 because ive never had any problems with eragon 3.0

Yes I'm talking about the original app
Ive played some heavy games that made my phone hot in the upper part, is it possible the heat damaged the camera?

i have the same problem. I change the rom into 20150909 and didn't fix it! I used only original apps and neither camera nor flashlight doesn't work.
Anyone know a solution for this problem?

Sounds like you didn't flash it well or something because my phone works with eragon 3.8

Before flash, the problem was the same. It means, neither cam nor flashligt doesn't work. In that reason I have to try flash into newest version.
Do you think the flash with eragon may solve my problem?
Now when I want to switch on my cam (icon in original theme) I can see alert "Device is not installed", but when I use a nova launch, support from cam doesn't exist and I can't find it.

If both cam and flashlight not working it means there is camera issue. Without camera flashlight does not work.
Check the camera connection if it is ok then need to replace the camera.
