Update to 2.3.6

Hey i guys i am in india and i have European Firmware 2.3.5,i want to update it to DXKJ2 i.e. 2.3.6. Indian Firmware...i tried in many sites but the file which is downloaded contains only "tar.md5" file...please help me to update my phone

hey, i've read that odin don't support one package flash for the gt-s 5360 and gt-s 5363 (galaxy y[oung])

Yeah i know thats why i am unable to update.

Please upload a proper DXKJ2 OR DXKJ3 firmware..many maby thanks

You can update the firmware via the phone, subject to existing Internet data packets, by the way:
go to settings> go to down and select about phone> software update> update

there are certain ODINs around that support certain Samsung models only.
there is no ODIN that supports all phone models.

only kies supports single files. else you must odinize the single file like Doky did.

there are a bunch of apps out there, that do KERNEL BACKUP & RESTORE, i.e.:
tuxility // open source
SGS kernel flasher
yaffs explorer
SGS tools (maybe) // open source
kTool v1.4
ROM Manager
ODIN mobile
tuxility just uses dd to do the trick, seemingly. none of the above work on the SGY, however.

If i dont misundrstod u wanna upgrade ur firmware from ddla to ddlc?
Am i right?
If yes, there's 2way 2upgrade firmware. 1st via ota phone and 2nd via odin wth pc. Doky thread is the 2nd way.

Suposse i am now using A stock Rom.
Now I want to go B Stock rom.
If i able to flash my phone with B Rom via odin!

Just flash new ROM via odin...you can upgrade/downgrade your firmware via odin = they are just ROMS do whatever you like
i suggest if you are going with stock, just flash DXLC1(BTW dont make things complicated)

[Q] I8160 back to 2.3.6

Greatz all,
I'm very happy with the CM Kitkat 4.4 on mu I8160.
But my wife really really hates it. As it triggers her OCD I'm afraid the Phone will be slamed to the wall ina few days.
Searching the internet I have tried to try downgradint it back to the Original 2.3.6 stock rom.
But I'm afraid I need some advice and help, as I stumble on dead links and etc.
-Is there a way to get back to the Original rom of 2.3.6 of samsung?
OR is there a way to get it back to a 2.3.6 CM?
