I have an unlocked ATT GS3. I'll be going to Canada at the end of the summer. Can I assume that I can use Rogers, Bell, or Telus prepaid cards with my phone since the phones are almost the same?
Should be fine Rogers is the at&t of Canada
hmmm.....
You can use Rogers, telus, bell, fido, koodo and virgin.
They all use the same network bands as att, so whichever network would offer you the best deal at the time would be the best choice.
Furthermore, Fido is Rogers discount brand that uses the same towers, koodo is telus discount brand, and virgin is bell (in Canada at least) as far as tower and network coverage goes.
One step more, bell and telus have a agreement across the country where they share some towers, generally this only takes place outside of higher population areas though.

My girlfriends sister just bought the galaxy s3 from ATT for full price. She is planning on using it in Mexico using Telcel. They had a few questions that they wanted me to ask you guys. With the ATT version, would 4g LTE be enables for Telcel since ATT owns Telcel? Since they biught the phone for full price, is it still locked with ATT? And last, will multiwindow and all that multitasking work for it? I checked the phone and it is currently running Android 4.1.1. Once they have Telcel on it, would it be able to be upgraded to 4.1.2?
Thanks

A lot of questions lol
My experience: i bought a the same phone for my father, i think is LTE capable for Telcel because the frequencies but he is not getting LTE, i show him how to flash the modems/radios so he is testing now. Even if you paid full price for the phone is locked to ATT, call ATT and ask for the unlock key, i did the same for 3 different gs3, sometimes they refused, just dial again and speak with another representative. You can not upgrade to 4.1.2 because ATT has not that android version yet, but you can upgrade it using a custom rom.

What LTE bands does the S4 T-Mobile variant support? Will LTE work on AT&T or Telus, or Bell? Or is it just hspa on networks other then T-Mobile or Wind or Videotron?
I have a t mobile s4 that I unlocked to use on at&t. It gets LTE. I believe the t mobile s4 is the only variant with 4-5 LTE bands being supported.

When I first got on T-Mobile I used my AT&T S3 and everything on the network worked perfectly. Only thing you have to change is the APN settings to the T-Mobile settings and your set. You will not be able to use WiFi calling through T-Mobile but everything else works good.
