So glad XDA decided to use Swappa for the new marketplace. Sold my GS3 in about 48 hours and it was far less painfull than ebay.
That's cool.. How much you sell it for? And which carrier?
Its a shame that you can't do trades on swappa.

Same here. Recently Sold my evo 3d very quickly. Will definitely be using Swappa each time I'm looking to sell or buy a used phone.

What stops someone from not sending phone? Are their any flaws with it. Paypal only or what?

Would probably use it if more sellers shipped outside US.

I more or less did a trade on swappa. I found a nexus I wanted on there, I contacted the seller and asked if he wanted my RAZR so I listed the RAZR, he bought it, and I bought his nexus. Sort of a trade

We are glad that everyone is utilizing the XDA/Swappa marriage.
For the future, please put posts like these in the OT thread. If someone stumbles across this thread and has no idea wtf they are talking about, see here.

I won't be able to upgrade my dumb phone till early 2013 with verizon. I am interested in the galaxy nexus. Any recommendations as far as just buying the phone? Ebay? Any reputable sellers?
Obviously the fact that they have no warranty is an issue, but a square trade may be worth it at 75 dollars with all the color issues?
I'm open to thoughts and recommendations.
Swappa.com sells a lit of android phones. Check there. It's strictly for phones. They will tell u if the ESN is bad or not also. U can talk directly to the seller as well. Some take trades too.

Thanks, I couldn't find any phones in the marketplace at this time, but just realized thats probably because I'm not at 10 posts yet to check it out!
Lost mine a need it replaced. I saw some one mention it was in the 400$'s some where... can't find that thread.

Craigslist that's where I got mine 250

crap thats GSM only, I need vzw.
If you can, you can always open a new line and buy one on contract. Its about $199 + plan + $10 for extra line. Or find one on craigslist with a CLEAN ESN. Make sure its clean and can be activated.

thought about that, but at 350 for ETF and 200 for new line...$550

Like I said have you looked at craigslist I got my vzw one there. In perfect shape with case both the regular and brand new extended battery as well as the Verizon car dock for 250 can't beat that

Ebay isn't to bad either.
I picked up my Vzw Gnex for $330.00 (refurb). Looked like new, and so far has been great for the past 8 weeks now.

I shot a wedding Friday... and thinking back I knew I had to have left / lost it at the church... left a message and they called today... woot!
Hey guys! So I've had my eye on the Verizon GNex for a while now but my parents are unwilling to give up their upgrade so I can get it... Ebay is an option but also pricey for a used one ya know... Does anybody have any ideas where else i can look? besides craigslist
Again, I wanna find a verizon samsung gnex lol no GSM
Those are really your only options. I doubt you will find them online for cheaper.... Maybe amazon?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
What's wrong with clist? Just make sure you meet at a Verizon store and you have the ESN checked. Make a test call, check that it powers off / on quickly. Fast GPS lock, etc etc.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Look in the XDA Market Place or Swappa.
Amazon has the device for $650. I doubt you'll find a much better price on a new device.
As stated above, check out your local forums or swappa.

That can't be right. A new one on eBay is $475-$350 and a brand new unlocked GSM version is only $350. I've seen some good Verizon ones on Clist and that'd probably be your best bet.
There's a couple for sale in the xda marketplace...

i checked out the marketplace and couldnt find the vzw one, am i just dumb and couldnt see it? lol
im checking swappa now, and ebay is good up until a few hours before the auction ends... then it jumps from reasonable to NUTS
I'm not looking to spend over $300 for this.. i really doubt i can find anything for cheaper lol so thank you for giving me some ideas.. ill still look back here to see if anybody posts so if you find a deal let me know!
Unfortunately, Verizon's business model is a dying, failing breed. They overprice the phones so they can sell them at a subsidized price to make it seem like you are getting a good sale. You are paying easily double for a phone that is worth half that price (look at the price on the Play Store). I would recommend Craig's List, or maybe keep a close eye on eBay, but you aren't going to be able to find an LTE Nexus for anywhere near $300.
Either convince your parents, or save up!

If you use CL, be sure to do it the right way. There are some horror stories over in the AT&T section about using CL.
I had my note2 on CL for 2weeks @ $455 with no results. just low offers.
then, listed on swappa.com.... only took 1 day SOLD! @ $485!
swappa ftw
