[Q] Help with shutter sound deletion error. - LG Optimus G (International)

I was following the tutorial for deleting the shutter sound on my LGOG on this website:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051384
And what happened was i switched it from 1 to 0 and then when i went to open the camera app to take a photo the phone crashed and came up with a screen that said "Kernel Crashed". What do i do, I need to take pictures lol. I know when i saved changes in the build.prop file it said that it backed up the original. Where would i find that??

[Q] Hard drive maxed out while shooting video. Corrupt file?

I was recording a rather long video and ran out of hard drive space in the middle of recording. It made the stop recording sound, but the icon still appeared how it does when you are recording (red button with the white stop square inside it). The app then froze and I had to do a battery pull.
When I go in to gallery to try and view it, it just gives me the spinning loading graphic and never stops. Is the file corrupt? Is it lost forever since it didn't go through whatever finalizing process it does when you correctly stop recording? When I try to open it in VLC after transfering to my mac it just sits there blankly and says the length is 0:00, but its like 600 mb...
Different situation...same concept.
But my Droid X died as I was recording a concert.
Video was corrupted.
I searched and searched and searched. Most said it was impossible to fix. The ones who offered hex edits, special programs, and other options...I tried them all.
The header is written at the end of the video...so the theory was you could record a working video and hex edit or other programs and such to fix.
I never got it to work.
Good luck to you.

[Q] Instagram upload not working

Hello, I have a Sprint LG optimus G (model LS970) phone that runs on Android 4.1.2. I rooted (left a stock ROM) it to get rid of the shutter sound. Everything including Instagram worked just fine. Last time I was able to upload and post a photo on Ig was 2 weeks ago. Now 3-4 days ago I noticed the shutter sound came back on my camera. I was surprised as I made changes in the build prop and deleted the shutter sounds audio files. I went and tried to change it back but all the settings were the same as I left them. But now if you put the phone on silent the shutter sound goes away too, which it didn't do before the root. Anyway trying to upload a photo to Instagram it gets stuck on loading phase (after applying filters) and never comes out of it. The video doesn't work either as soon as I'm done recording it just resets back to start. Everything else on instagram works. I tried to upload photos both by taking a picture on IG and trying to upload from the gallery and dropbox with the same result. I tried to restart the phone and uninstall the app several times but it didn't help. What do I do? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Do you have any programs that blocks packets like LBE Security or Xprivacy?

I have no idea, what would they be for example?

Video camera can't record - Stock app.

Yesterday I noticed that I can't record a video via default app (Camera). It shows 1 second then stopped.
I tried the below
Reduce the camera resolution.
I have enough memory space.
Reset to defaults - Camera app.
Clear data for the camera app - settings.
Format the device.
After formatting the device, every thing goes normal and I can record video normally, but once I update my apps which are restored, then I faced the problem again.
It seems there is a conflict in the software but I don't know yet where.
I don't know even how to enter safe mode.
Any clue?
Thanks

Corrupted video and permissions

Hello, plese help.
I have [ROM][8.0.0][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 15.0
I can't download files from my phone, also camera don't save recorded video. the app says "error, video file may be corrupted" after recording. Photos are saved succesfully. I think both problems could relate to file permississions? but i'm lost, how do I even check these permissions? Ḯm using gmtp and upload works fine.
Edit:tried another camera app. this time the message is:
java.lang.illegal argument exception
surface was abandoned
Edit: no luck downloading with another cable, also mtp-getfile gave same error "Error getting file from MTP device"
Did you enable Camera2 API? I'm on stock 8.1 (Root + camera2 API enabled) and I can't record videos with 3rd party apps. I always get "error, video file may be corrupted" too.
Camera api2 disabled or enabled from opencamera app, makes no difference just slightly different error message. Default/original camera gives no errors but video file size is 0kb. I'm pretty sure the video did work when I first installed the rom, so it should be just some settings that I have changed.
I can only record videos with the stock camera without any problems. Others apps just give a "can't record video" warning.
Let us know if you find a solution. Good luck ?
Video seems to be working again. Settings/Sound/Other sounds and vibrations, I disabled everything and now it works!?
Oh, really, thanks a lot. Now, I can record with Cinema-FV5 and Open Camera
EDIT: It worked after applying the settings and restarting. After several minutes, the message reappears (and the phone has to restarted again to be able to record videos again). So, this is a temporary solution
Yes, it seems to be only temporary fix, very frustrating. Default lineageos camera isn't working either just freezes the screen.

System notification every time I take a picture

Every time I take a photo with the stock camera I get the system notification sound. It is NOT the shutter sound. If I have the shutter sound on it will play shutter and then quickly after it will play the default system notification sound. If I have shutter sound off, it will just play the system notification sound.
It's super F-ing annoying. I've checked the gallery app and google photos as I thought it might be something related to syncing but I have not been able to figure it out. Someone please help, it is so damn annoying.

You could try to catch the notification with an app like this, and figure out what's causing it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hcilab.projects.nlog
And could try disabling notifications for Google photos app from it's info page, and Gallery app too just to narrow it down
Or disable Google photos completely and take a few photos as a test
Unfortunately none of that worked. I tested both notifications off for Gallery and Google Photos and neither fixed the issue. I sat for 30 minutes testing every setting i could find in the camera, across different shooting modes etc, and got nowhere. In the end, I wiped cache and data of the camera app, and voila, the sound is gone! Thank god. I was about to throw this phone through the wall. Still no idea what was causing it, and I have a sneaking suspicion it will return.

Sometimes clearing the system cache on the boot menu will stop erratically behaviors. It's a good idea to do occasionally and especially when having issues of unknown origins.
Apparently the cam data does get corrupted occasionally too. Or one losses tract of the many settings all over the place.
Lol, I've wiped the cam data once already on the 10+
