[Q] Twitter, Google+, Facebook Push Notifications not working - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I'm not here to create another "push notifications not working" thread, but this is an issue many of us ROM flashers face and at this moment, I can't find any 'solution' to this.
Twitter, Facebook and Google+ push notifs are not working, and I have uninstalled each one of them, cleared app data prior to that, cleared cache and dalvik cache in recovery, reinstalled the app and stuff, but they still don't work. I really don't wish to transfer GBs worth of data back and forth and reinstall stock, root it, flash CM10.1 again etc, so I'm really looking for a solution apart from this.
Running CM10.1, 0308 nightly, trinity kernel, no other customizations. All said apps are up-to-date.

[Q] Protected Apps Missing...

Hello Everyone. After installing the lastest CM6 nightly, it appears protected apps are now missing. I have attempted to wipe everything, and install a sense rom, and see if I receive the same results. I do. I ended up RUU-ing my phone, and tried again, however, protected apps seem to be missing still (twidroid, barcode scanner, facebook, etc etc). Any suggestions or anything I am missing??
I am currently on the official stock release: 3.29.651.5

Did you look at the ROM's signature in build.prop? Did it change from what you were running vs what you are running now?
Did you try erasing the Market cache?
I have no compared the build.props. Was not sure if I needed too since I RUU-ed my phone.
As for the Market Cache, are you refering to going to Applications, and clearing the cache from there?
Ok, well, I pulled a build.prop I had from a older nandroid that had the market working, and pushed it to my phone after clearing market cache, and still nothing. Help... :-\
Nevermind. I found that apps. It appears everything is just in a crazy order. I can now see protected apps. Thread can be closed.. >.<

RCMix 2.0 problems

Hey...i updated to newest RCMix rom and now i'm missing my settings program, my messages, email etc...I've installed all now for the 3rd times, and always the same story. I did full wipe also with Dalvik wipe. Please help...
I don't understand, what you want.
What do you miss exactly?
Have you lost just your messages themselves, or message app? I usuallay have to restore data (from Titanium) twice before it settles. That includes messages, desktop, bookmarks etc.
Noticed Robo's thread has been updated to say this is a requirement now, too.

Android.process.acore stops when adding new contact

I've google and searched for this problem on and off and I can't seem to find a solution. What I did find is the problem might be related to sync data corruption, especially with the G1, which would make sense. In fact, I had to reflash several ROMs due to data corruption. However, what gets me is that I can view contacts just fine and I can still sync without errors. The acore process only force closes when I try to open the new contact screen. This effectively prevents me from adding new contacts.
I should note that just recently flashed GB based RandomROM Thunderhawk in light of my latest data corruption incident with SyndicateROM frozen 1.2. It started with sync data, and eventually spread to the point where my launcher wouldn't load, and I couldn't open any apps without some process FCing.
Before, I was running
ROM: Syndicate ROM Frozen 1.2
Kernel: Genocide 2.0
Modem: EH17
Now I'm running
Random ROM Thunderhawk EI22
Nubernel 2.6.35
EH17 (same from before)
Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be?

I would guess you might need to do a clean wipe of the system...
I always seem to run into some kind of issues if I don't wipe it clean x3 on everything. Except battery.
I also try to do roughly a weekly back up in case I screw up my phone or the rom i am running goes to crap... its happened... bluetooth dock causing phone to reboot incorrectly. Not sure what caused that but haven't had it happen yet on ACS ICS v4.
You could back up the system you have running. Then flash clean a new system grab that particular apk and wipe then restore the old system and then put in the working apk?
I don't know just food for thoughts.
I did wipe 3 times (user data, cache partition, and Dalvik cache) prior to installing Thunderhawk... plus the custom boot and shutdown animations I flashed wiped the cache a 4th and 5th time. The system shouldn't be corrupted, but as of now it's the only lead I have, and beats reflashing and starting over again. Appreciated the input.
BTW - I did see a script in the Random Extras folder to enable journaling. I'm not entirely sure what journaling is, but would it help prevent further data corruption in the future? What are the Pros/Cons of enabling journaling?

Sounds as though you might have some errors of some sort in your contacts vcard. I would try to delete all contacts , back them up first. If it acts normal then add them one by one. Another route would be to reload the contacts program . If you need help with that let me know.
I've seen the Google+ and account sync fudge up contacts. Sometimes they release patches in the threads for the ROMs. I am on ERA's Beta 3.3, and they had previous issues as such.
Wiping and doing the 2,254 steps to get ready for a ROM, and then reflashing might help. Be cautious at what accounts you sync at first. One of them may be corrupt.
Just a thought!

By reloading, do you mean simply restarting the program, or reinstalling? I've already done the former with no luck. Not sure how to approach the latter. I will clean out the contacts (again) and try to monitor the syncing. This is going to be fun...
Another relevant piece of data: I have 3-5 gmail accounts synced to my phone at any given time. Currently, I have 1 work email (have 3 work emails total), and 2 personal. One I use for job applications and the other is actually for personal use. Whew... its a total of approx. 150 unique contacts. I have no idea how many duplicates I have. I also have 1 facebook account synced. I know its a lot for a human to manage, the number is insignificant for a 1.4GHz machine.
UPDATE:
So, I just deleted all my contacts and I can now add new contacts! YAY!!! :-D
I also successfully synced my personal email, which has the bulk of my ~150 contacts, and still no problems! So far so good. However, I'm having trouble syncing my work email (using extra security), as well as my job application email. Poop.
I also uninstalled Google+ prior to deleting all my contacts, so I can't pin-point the exact problem. Also poop. Will keep you all posted if anything new comes up. Thanks for the help.

I'll disable auto-sync. I don't really use Google+, but it is installed and logged in. I'll uninstall.
Thanks for the tip.

[Q] Downloaded apps don't show up in market

Ive searched for thjis bug before, but all the supplied solutions aren't effective. I've tried repairing permissions, clearing cache, reflashing gapps, uninstalling and reinstalling, and nothing has worked. This bug arised right after I tried adding a youtube/google account so I can watch my subscribed channels, but I can't seem to get that to work, as when ever I add my youtube username to the accounts, it adds a @gmail.com to it.... /shrug. I don't want to resort to reflashing my phone, as I don't want to lose all my settings and tweaks. If anyone has any advice or solutions, they would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a screenshot of the "my apps" page on the market.

So I tried installing a Miui rom, and the apps showed up in the market once i restored them from Titanium Backup. I didn't want to commit to the Miui rom, so I reverted back form my backup. Well today I tried installing a Andromadus ICS rom, but I'm still getting the same error. I'd really like some advice or help with this, because I'm really anal about having the most up-to-date apps.
Are these apps that you have restored using TB?
I have seen this on my own device, Setting/Applications/Manage applications go to the market app and clear data/cache seems to fix it.

[Q] [URGENT HELP] Nothing is working!

I have a HTC Wildfire S, rooted, with an AOKP rom.
One day, my phone was running slow, so I rebooted into recovery and cleared dalvik cache and system cache. I rebooted the system and absolutely NOTHING is working. after I unlock the phone, a bunch of processes stop working. Pressing the home button makes Nova Launcher crash. I have since uninstalled it, and still nothing is working.
I can't even turn the phone off using the power button. The only way I can shut the screen off is by removing the battery manually.
EDIT: I tried a factory reset, and it's still the same as before. NOTHING is working. I can go into Settings, that's about it.
A list of apps that stop working:
Link2sd
facebook
outlook
yahoo weather
google.process.gapps
nova launcher
swiftkey
superuser
ETC..
I have attached pictures so you guys can have a sense of what my problem is. Sorry if the pictures are blurry, I had to use my Ipod touch to take them.
Sorry If i have made any errors in this thread. I am new here, I just created an account right now so I can find some help to solve my issue.

Thanks @Guitarfreak12 and @aWFSuser
I did what you guys said, and I reflashed the same ROM and everything is working fine. The only downside, although, is that I have had to re-install all my apps again.
Also, would you guys know what caused the problem? I'd like to know so that I can ensure it doesn't happen again in the future.

Did you had a lot of applications installed and linked along with dalvik to sd-ext?
Then after clearing the cache on reboot the dalvik files will regenerate in the /data partition if there are a lot of apps and the /data overflows then your apps will stop working without the dex files. And clearing the dalvik cache usually doesn't help in increasing speed.........next time you should go into link2sd and use the "clean dalvik cache" option there.........

This actually happens because Link2SD can also link dalvik cache files as well, what the recovery must have deleted would be the symbolic links that the Link2SD script creates, so next time if you want to clear the dalvik cache, use the option found in the Link2sd app
Alright so it seems, instead of using the dalvik cache cleaner on recovery, I should just use the one located in Link2sd. I'll be sure to do that next time to ensure that no problems persist.
Thanks for all the help!
