I was wondering if anyone has a fix or an apk for stock messaging with split threads...the ones I've came across have a bug where you open the thread and it brings you some place in the middle of the thread instead of the bottom. It's really annoying. Any ideas? I'm on AOKP.
I think 4.2.2 has that scrolling bug.. I might have seen something about a 'scrolling cache' fix...
Ahhh. Ok. That makes sense cause I extracted a couple apks from different roms and it was the same on all of them. Darn. That's annoying
Yea, i've experienced it a bit with mms. I believe it happened somewhere else too, but i can't quite recall now. And i read the changelogs from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 and it was noted and supposedly fixed?! Anyway the rom i think i saw that had the fix might have been vanir.

I just put CM6 on my evo I wiped everything like usually. Everything is working great pulled all my apps from the market except two of them and when searching the market I can no longer find them. The apps are handcent sms and switch widget pro. Anyone have any clue what the issue is or if anyone else is experiencing the same issue?
Its an issue most froyo builds have had at one time..it will be fixed soon don't worry.

Thanks for your useless comment but just to clarify I did read and searched around only thing I could find were old topics mostly specific to the N1 and had to do with build.prop and in one topic stated after FRF83 was released the issue was resolved. I wasn't aware it was still an issue with all froyo roms.
It does have to do with build.prop
After flashing n34 over n25 (yes i did wipe cache) I went to take picture of a part number before heading to the store, I found that the saved photo was cropped.
wiped camera data with TB, try again no love
Reboot no love
re flash no love
did not re download
nandroid back to 25 all is well again.
The question:
Are you on CM7 nightly 34?
Are you on the stock CM7 n34 kernel?
Have you taken a picture?
Did you notice anything missing?
If it turns out to be an issue I will report it if it is just me no sense clogging up the dev thread.

You have to expect some bugs when flashing nightlies since they are experimental builds im on 32 and everything is working fine for me i flashed to 34 and my notification bar went away i would suggest just sticking with the nightly that works best for you not much in the change logs for the upcoming nightlies have changed or added anything better mostly just working on new language packs....
anyway just stick with the one thats working best for you and you will be absolutely fine
oh and when you are flashing nightlies there is no need to do a FULL wipe just wipe cache and dalvic the flash over the one you have it will just update with whatever fixes were implied

Sorry I was not specific I just wiped cache. The reason I posted this here is to collect data and perhaps get a few more people to check their camera before submitting a bug report. It helps keep the dev threads cleaner and meaningful.
I have the best luck on 25. However I am not here just to mooch an os for my phone but to support development through testing.
I had a bug I am asking others if they have had an issue. This evening I will redownload 34 and try to recreate the problem then based on that and observation in this thread I will decide if a bug report is warented.
If so I will submit one with a link to this thread.
Point is there is no need to add six pages to the dev thread when one post and a link would do.
If more of use checked our bugs this way it might be easier to find specific informaion. Also we wouldn't have a page of post in the dev thread dealing with a bug caused by an 3rd party kernel or bad flash they would be out here and can be linked into the correct threads or aloud to die.

I totally agree with you on every point and no offense taken just stating that depending on your device what you use and how you use ie different kernel than the next person all factors in on the type of bug you are having one combination of these things might create a bug for you that another combination might not plus the CM7 thread here might not even deal with nightly builds you might have to go to cyanogenmod.com and view their nightly discussion and see if anyone there is having or heard of that problem i understand your concern and your drive to help out with the builds which is what we all do
as for 34 i havent flashed it yet but i will tonight and see if i get the same problem as you were getting
EDIT: so i had a few free mins and flashed 34 stock build stock kernel and i can confirm your camera bug using points of reference ( my speakers with my laptop in between) when in view finder at one edge left speaker at right edge right speaker after shooting the pic and loading right speaker and about the 1/4 of my screen on my laptop is missing from the shoot tried changing settings to no avail
EDIT2: something else interesting i found out when said "cropped" pic is uploaded to my computer it was fine entire pic came out just as it showed in the view finder....

That is interesting and something I had yet thought about.
Next question is are any pictures taken earlier showing up cropped in the gallery or just ones taken while on n34. Also after flashing forward to 35 do they come out correctly.
That narrows things down a bit though.

no all previous pictures are just as they should be and after restoring back to n32 the pics that i took on n34 are still cropped

[ROM] PARANOIDANDROID [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9]
Hi there, Normally i had to post this problem under the appropriate thread but I do not have sufficient right to do it so I post here, hoping a mod could move it to the right place.
So I Installed the PARANOIDANDROID yesterday. I didn't remark any problem yet (reboots or any other)
But I noticed a little "bug" with contact names on the home-screen, particularly when they are grouped in folders. So As an image worth than any words here is the problem attached.
I hope someone could find a solution to fix it. Except this, I do not have any problem so far. I did not tested so much roms but this one seems to be simply great. The buttons are a bit too tiny for me! That's all. But I stick with it!

Same problem with me.
Can be fixed if you use Apex launcher. I like the Apex more with Paranoid rom because better customization options.
sorry, i stumbled over this by accident, wouldnt normally have seen it. you get that bug because i rewrote trebuchet and it has still some bugs left. i didnt even check folders when i released it but i will get to that. for now just ignore it or use the hack i made for nova: https://rapidshare.com/files/1900383500/NovaLauncher_1.0.3beta2.apk -- apex is a nice launcher but i wouldnt recommend it for tabmode, its not there yet. or you wait, i'll fix trebuchet soon. im breeding over that per-app-dpi thing right now, after that i'll worry about that launcher.
and here's a quick comparisation between nova 1.1 and the hack. you see nova is almost tabmode ready, first launcher btw who does that.
and yeah, this whole thing here should be thrown in the main thread.

Q: When group messaging with GO SMS PRO (only app I know of that works with iPhone's for group chat) after a few minutes my group messages disappear and all I see are random single digit numbers instead of my contacts with the conversations separated in them. Only occurs for group messages, not individual messaging. Why is this? Something to do with data stability? I'd take an SS, but I cleared all of them earlier. When it happens again I'll take an SS.

Does anyone know why I don't have the Motion settings available? I was first advised to reflash, but I found that there was newer version of the ROM available, but even after upgrading to that the motion settings are still not there. Any fix?

1) Because AOKP isn't touchwhiz
2) Flash stock rom if you want that option.

2- do you flash AOKP Task & Ktoonsez Run train (rom) then Sammy (Kernel) ?

Bluetooth to headunit
so I'm running latest aokp by task650 &ktoonsez for my sgs3 att, so the issue is when i use poweramp (latest version available on play store) it wont send track info to my head unit, i had someone suggest to go to misc - tweaks and enable both Bluetooth options but i tried that and still just says stop on the head unit. anybody have any ideas? it worked fine in stock rom.
Still having issues with aosp cam with task and ktoonsez aokp rom. The camera works with other camera apps like 360 camera and ucam but not the aosp cam. The exact symptom is that the app will always freeze within 10 seconds of the app opening no matter if i touch the phone or not. The zoom slider never appears and I'm unable to interact with the app like changing the settings or anything.
I have tried numerous flashes including every version release so far. I always do a factory reset in cwm, delete cache partition, dalvik cache, and format system. I've also used the cwm flashable camera fix that is posted in both at&t development forums. In a last ditch effort I went back to stock, performed a factory reset from there insuring that my phone was a complete clean slate and the aosp camera app still didn't work when installing fresh aokp with no apps or any settings changed at all in the rom.
I'm at a loss here as the default cam app works in cm9 and cm10 but I want my aokp damn it!
Hi, I'm seeing an odd bug in the Jelly Bean camera (running stock jelly bean on a GSM Galaxy Nexus) that I haven't seen reported elsewhere:
When I snap a photo, that photo appears in the little window on the top right of the screen (as it should), but when I then swipe left to see the photo I just took, I instead see photos I took days ago. I have to swipe through a bunch of photos in order to get to the one that I just took. Is anyone else seeing this behavior? And is there a way to fix it so that swiping in the camera actually takes me to the most-recently-taken photograph?

Having the same problem here. Im using stock jelly bean. I have been looking for a fix too but no luck yet. Looks like it is not a common problem...
Glad it wasn't just me! I actually switched to another Galaxy Nexus (for unrelated reasons), and this isn't an issue. So it must have been something odd about the way something was set up on your phone and my old one. Though I think I've got things set up the same way on this new phone as that one, so I'm not sure what the difference might be.

It might be a date issue on your phones, are they set to correct date/time ? It might be as simple as the date on the photos you are taking is older then the ones already there.
No, it's not a date issue -- the date was set right on the phone and was showing up right on the pictures. For some reason, the phone would just think that the last picture taken was in fact one taken days earlier.

This is symtomatic of this bug, which Google are already aware of. I would love to post the actual link here, but the stupid restrictions that this forum places on me forbids me prom posting external links and helping people.... go figure... Thanks XDA team...
You can try Googling "jelly bean gallery pictures wrong date order" and you can navigate to the actual Google bug report describing this problem.
As the photos are not always displaying in the actual order they were taken, you see the bug described above.
There is a workaround, namely turning off GPS data for your photos. Once again, I would love to help you further and post the URL for the relevant info, but this stupid web site won't let me until I have posted at least 10 responses... DUMB!!!
The above Google search should also steer you in the direction of rootzwiki dot com, where you can search for "jelly bean nexus pics out of order date taken" and you should hit gold.
I am running a ROM based on the current JRO03L build, so it isn't fixed yet. Hopefully soon...
