Gamepad - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Accessories

Hello everyone!
do you guys know any good gamepad that fits the Note and is sold on Amazon.com?
this one looks cool but one reviewer says it doesnt fit the Note 2 (so it wont fit Note 1 too)
http://www.amazon.com/Gametel-Porta...id=1362708367&sr=8-1&keywords=gamepad+android
I dont want to have to install drivers, I just want to assign the buttons on the emulators themselves and play
thanks in advance

Try the Sixaxis controller with the 'SixaxisPairTool' and the 'Sixaxis Controller' app.
You must have root.

Have you looked a Moga you can use a driver app from market free and play all the games on your phone. Have a look if it helps thank me.
Oh and the N7000 fits in its handy holder

I read this review http://gizmodo.com/5967217/moga-controller-review-android-gaming-just-got-way-better and found it to not be suitable for my needs, needing the game to be compatible, having to download drivers and pair, also on amazon reviews people say you need to change the input setting, that caused a lot of trouble for me when I tested gamepad inputs for dosbox.

Any wiimote user out there? The pairing app is either built in into the emulator or can get it 4 free. Can anyone share their experiences? Especially with classic controller pro (eg vs sixaxis)

Does all the game works with this ??
I'm planning to buy one

Why not to try making yourself, how to make guide is in below link:

Gaming pad for HTC ONE

Hi All,
Been looking at getting a gaming controller for my htc one, i want one that holds the phone as well as lets you use a controller, so i can go and
play gta etc.. with ease.
Anyone got any experience with any ??
Seen this : http://buy.thegameklip.com/products/gameklip-casemount
Looks good but does anybody know if the ps3 controller works with htc one (there is a checker here if you have root https://play.google.com/store/apps/...Rpb3Muc2l4YXhpc2NvbXBhdGliaWxpdHljaGVja2VyIl0.
Also ive seen the mogo pro controller : http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/10/moga-pro-hands-on/
Which looks perfect but no info about a UK release, just US.
There is this as well, I have it on order myself.

Thanks that one idea out.
I do love the moga one its looks perfect, just hoping that once it released on Monday in the US it will pop up online in places.
That bluetooth one of ebay says it has issues with android 4.0 (guessing this will mean it has issues with 4.1 as well)
Also im sure ive read somewhere that the flip at the top doesnt stretch far enough to fit a s3 in it, hence it might not fit the one!
why o why cant someone just bring out a good one and sell it world wide.
I'm hoping the Moga Pro turns out to be decent as I'll be in the US in a few Months so I'll pick one up then, unless a UK reseller pops up beforehand!

The sixaxis controller does work on sense with the sixaxis app but requires root. As for an unrooted solution, there answer would work.

I have the Moga and it worked fine on my note 2. The sixaxis never worked with me and I have tried it on the s3 and note 2.. But the moga was good for me.
I think I am going to try the Moga pro! It looks awesome.
The sixaxis app does not work with the HTC ONE due to the required bluetooth protocol not being implemented.
OTG doesn't work either. You don't even get the local bluetooth adress in the sixaxis app! :crying:
has anyone tried to mogo mini controller?

I have the smaller moga controller AND the Nyko Playpad (smaller one)
the moga is nice but... it does not support any app but MOGA certified ones out of the box, meaning if its not a moga supported game it will not work, BUT! there is a "MOGA IME" around that u can install and it will allow you to use it with your non moga apps, but only with key mapping, there is no way to map touch controls. The moga runs on 2 AAA batteries
The nyko playpad is nice as well, it has the ability to be use as a controller or even a mouse for android, but their "playground" app doesn't support touch mapping yet and it doesnt have a built in mount to hold the phone, it does however come with a stand that can be used for phones OR tablets, it is rechargable
In all honesty, having tried the 2 main competitors I have both because some games wont work with one but will with the other, in the end tho, the sixaxis is probably the best bet, and even with that there is an annoying lag when playing games with any of these methods, I actually just gave up on using the controllers mostly, the only time i use them now is for my SNES and GBA emulator's

Careful
I own a moga, and it works flawlessly with my S3, but my one doesn't see the controller at all.
Seems the protocol isn't supported, once we get a rom that doesn't have sense, I'll test it out again.
Tried the droid DNA bluetooth mod as well, no luck

Does it not work over usb OTG at all? Or only before getting rid of sense? I bought one of these to use with my ps3 controller and every usb pairing, management app out there says it detects my controller, I have the HTC one but when I plug in the controller nothing happens. Do I have to get rid of sense? I don't knwo why that would interfere with it. I'm kind of pissed because other phones just plug n play and I have this amazing new top of the line phone that can't do it without deleting the main software? I don't even wanna mess around with that kind of stuff lol
I've got a regular moga... May see how it works for me. It was useless for me since my sensation is too slow to play good games now and my N7 just uses an Xbox controller with USB wire.
By far best controller for phones is the phonejoy iv had a lot now and this has lasted me over two years of hardcore emulator action it is supported by all ime apps and most emulators already it's a great option and is an exact ps3 replica but works with any phones bluetooth

Can somebody help answer what gamepad will actually work on this device. Im stuck and really want a gamepad!

GamePad Recommendation

I have a rooted GS3 running stock ROM, android v 4.1.1 and I'm looking for a gamepad for a long time.
The gamepad MUST be attachable to the phone in some way (for example the steelseries controller is just a controller, it can't attach to the phone).
I'm going to use it mostly for emulators, but it would be nice if it could play GTA3, #Sworcery, Another World and Bard's Tale (don't care too much if it doesn't).
I also want it to be compatible with a PC, and have 2 analog sticks.
The best one I could find is PhoneJoy, but I can't find where to buy/order one since the kickstarter ended.
I've also read very good stuff about the Gametel, but unfortunately it lacks analog sticks. I wouldn't mind too much, since the play station one doesn't really need analogs, but since I plan on using it on my pc also, most modern games use both analogs...
The one I wanted to buy is the Moga Pro, but the shipping to Europe is ridiculous (70$ for shipping and 50$ for the controller, more than the controller itself just to carry it on a damn plane!?). Also, it's not confirmed to work with a PC, and has some issues with non market games (my version of Another World and #Sworcery is from Humble Bundle, not Google Play)
My other option is to wait for Samsung's gamepad, after the launch of GS4, but it costs 110$, which may very well translate to 100€, an amount I consider not worth it for any kind of controller.
There is also the iPega controller, but I know it has issues, as well as lag, and other controllers that even though they are good, they have nothing to attach the phone to (steelseries free, evolution drone, Nyko Gamepad).
I also do not own a PS3 and don't want to buy a controller for 50€ and then pay another 40$ for the gameklip (cause of shipping costs).
Any ideas?
PS Sorry for no links, I can't, new user.
I use the Moga game pad (not the new pro gamer one) and its perfect for my needs. I use it with GBA,SNES,Genesis,Etc emulators.... it also works good with most other games I tried... but the unofficial moga universal driver is a must. Makes the G SIII a great hand held system. I got mine from amazon for about 30 dollars USD.

Just received the new MOGA Pro and as a previous user of the Moga Pocket I can say the PRO is awesome and way better! More like an xbox 360 controller with additional joystick...l2 r2 triggers....l3 r3 clickable joysticks...feels fantastic in hand...light. Has two modes A and B with B eliminating need for the Moga driver app to use for emulators. Best part is it is rechargeable!! The only Con is sticking it in my pocket lol...it is big. Hence why the older smaller controller is now called MOGA pocket.

I got the Wamo Pro from Dealextreme and so far it is a very good controller. There may be compatibility issues with a few smartphones, just
like the IPEGA PG-9017.
In IPEGA PG-9017 topic, the user DiegoBaeza posted the source-code of a custom Bluez IME that he had added support to IPEGA PG-9017
in gamepad mode, so I got that source-code and added support to Wamo Pro too (MAYBE it helps those having connectivity problems).
Check my review about it in this link: Wamo Pro review
The APK and the source-code is attached to this post.

Analogs and Dpad are very good. Extensible grip can hold smartphones whose width is lower than 9cm, so it will probably fit your HTC Desire (it holded my HTC Desire HD). For more info, check my review about it (I added a link in the post above).

How do you compare it to ipega? In terms of compatibility, ease of use, ergonomy, portability, which one is better?

In my opinion, they are compared in this way:
Compatibility - Both are equal. There may be issues with a few phones, but probably there are and will be workarounds.
Ease of use - Both are equal unless things don't work normally. Right now, the main connection app from SZ Wamo are in Chinese, but they said to me they will release an English version very soon. They also have some other apps (similar to GameKeyboard). For IPEGA, I didn't see any official app in their website, but there are some apps in Google Play that work with it.
Ergonomy- I liked Wamo Pro more than IPEGA PG-9017 (I have a big hand...). It is comfortable and analog stick style fits better than IPEGA style. The only downsize for Wamo Pro is that the phone weight will force to back (worst if you have a heavy weight phone).
Portability - IPEGA PG-9017 wins since it is smaller.
Quality - Wamo Pro has better dpad and analog sticks. Buttons are OK in both devices.
Also, Wamo Pro has 4 additional buttons (L2, R2, L3 and R3), but it is more like an obligation since it is more recent.
I've never used a blue tooth controller with my android device, but this is making me reconsider!
That a cool controller.
If anyone gets one do a review.
THANKS

i was planning to buy a fake ps3 controller + gameklip; i might get this one instead: much much cheaper
Lookings promising :good:
just ordered one from dealextreme... will arrive 3-4 weeks will post a feedback when i receive it
The ads show that it's compatible with a lot of Android apps that don't work with a standard, generic gamepad. Like Wild Blood and Modern Combat 4 from Gameloft. Do you know how that's possible? Does it require a special app from the manufacturer?
In my experience, Gameloft games only work with the Moga products using the Pivot app. So I was wondering how it worked with this device. I saw a Youtube video of Modern Combat 4 which didn't seem to be using touch emulation.

I didn't try many Android games with it, but many games that support Moga also will work with Wamo (X+HOME or Y+HOME).
Check this channel: http://i.youku.com/u/UNjAxNDAwMTI0
They played Android games using official SZ Wamo app to connect and don't use touch emulation.
Note that I was able to connect Wamo Pro to a SGS3 (not mine) without official app and Bluez IME (just using Android Bluetooth settings).
The experience may vary depending which phone you are using.
I ordered a G910 controller from Geekbuying. Wonder if its the same as they look alike. Hope they will ship it soon.
it looks similar to xbox360 controller , the one i use now. Anyone used both and can give me feedback?
Are both of the analogs functioning with let's say a Ps1 emulator ? How is the D-Pad for like gba emulator gaming etc (i know the 360 ones are kinda ehh)

Then I think the G910 from Geekbuying might actually be the same (not surprising given that they both look like the X360 Controller).
The controller feels pretty good the analog stick is a bit more stiff and the d-pad a bit smaller but otherwise I think its great for the price (29$).
Also it fits a big range of smartphones since the max width possible seems pretty wide.
thanks

Game Controller?

OK so looking to get real for some gaming. Some games just require a true controller to play it. With that said what is the controller to get out there?
Something easy, plug and play would be great. Wireless preferred but not needed. Ability to pick it up locally would be wonderful, as going on a trip soon.

MOGA is the most widely supported.
PS3 is my choice just because I like the 4 way pad for certain games. It requires root for the drivers to use wirelessly but is plug and play via cable.
The OUYA controller is also good. All can be purchased from GameStop.

Just got the Red Samurai from GameStop the other day as well I do have a PS3 controller as well.
Though really my question is which is better? Sort of torn on what to do. Never really understood how to effectively setup profiles on the PS3 controller which never seemed to work for half the games I tried it with. So maybe a my bad on that one. The Red Samurai seemed to work nice and quickly probably guess I need to test both of them out to see what is better.
Just curious to what people are using for gaming or the preferred controller since no matter what it seems like there is some tweaking involved with every one out there.
Oh and did try to see about the Moga Pro when I was in Best Buy the other day, didn't have one at all.
Whatever works. You can use key mappers to make more games work. No different for a PS3 gamepad. The MOGA just has "official" support for some games, which is a nice touch. The ingame menu's and stuff detect the Moga and change accordingly.
There might even be wrappers that allow you to make the tablet think it's connected to a Moga.
I know we do this on the Ouya where some games won't detect the Ouya controller, but we can plug in a USB device (keyboard/mouse/etc) and then it will detect the Ouya controller as a plain jane and start working. I know it's harder on a tab vs a dedicated gaming unit with a full USB port.
I would recommend nyko playpad pro just got them a week ago the controller itself supports many game from the play store without doing any modification all you need to do is pair it up with nexus 7. so far I've tried a neo geo emulator call tiger meme and the controller works flawlessly. the price is very reasonable compare to the steel free series, moga build quality seems decent. I got them for £26 in uk.

I use PS3 controllers with all of my Android devices. PS3 is my preferred controller layout anyway, so it works perfectly for me. To use it wireless, you'll need root and the Sixasis app from the Play Store. If you haven't rooted, you need to have it plugged in to an OTG cable. You can easily find one locally at Best Buy, BrandsMart, HH Greg, Walmart, and the list goes on, pretty much anywhere that sells electronics will have one. It will work with any game that has controller support. If the game doesn't natively support a controller, you can still use it by just making a custom game map for it. It's super easy and works flawlessly!

Original what? I'm assuming you mean the original controller that came with my PS3 console. If that's what you meant, then yes, one that I use came with my console while another one I use was purchased separately when the PS3 was first released. Both are authentic Sony. That's the most important thing to beware of when buying from eBay, especially from overseas sellers. I've seen a LOT of legit looking knock offs on there! Some don't even say that they aren't authentic Sony, but if it's coming from China, new in the box, and only $25, then you can bet it's a fake.
Don't know if the controller you linked will work or not. The description says that it isn't made by Sony, so it's really a 50/50 chance. Some have got knock off controllers to work, while others have had problems. The Sixaxis app states that third party controllers aren't supported, so they aren't guaranteed to work. Even if it does work initially, who knows how long it will last before breaking or dying. I personally wouldn't risk it. Just buy the real thing and be done with it. You know with an authentic Sony controller then it will last for many MANY years of normal usage. Actually, I've NEVER had an authentic Sony controller go bad! That's through the original PlayStation, PS2, and now PS3.

Game Controllers for the Nexus

Anyone have any good suggestions on one of those new "Android Controllers" that you out your phone into and it'll work with certain games?
I recently downloaded Sonic, and have a big interest to playing it on my phone, as well as GTA, but I can't stand using my fingers on the screen, as its either too small of a screen for fat thumbs, or my finger dries up and it feels like it drags against the screen because of the heat.
One other thing is the compatibility. What games would and wouldn't work with the controller? Do I need an extra app for it to work? Ideally, I would love to download a psx emulator and play my FFVII again, since I doubt they will release it on mobile OS anytime soon.
And lastly, what about using my Xbox One controller? I won't go out to buy a ps3 or 360 controller, because then I might as well buy the ones they make for the phones.
Thank you in advance!

Regarding certain apps, it is compatible with some actually. I'm not sure which Sonic game you're referring to. It its not compatible with Sonic Dash, but it does work with Sonic CD Lite, for example. I just know that because it is explicitly stated in the app's description. The best way to know which apps the Moga series (there's 4 out currently but the Moga Pro 1st generation is more than sufficient) work with is to read the description when you download the app usually.
There's also an app that the controller comes with, on a slip of paper basically, that you can download and it lists Moga compatible apps. I forgot the name of it but just search for Moga in the play store. I'm not sure how often its updated so I've personally never relied on it...
For emulators, I haven't came across any popular emulators that ISNT compatible with Moga, or any other Bluetooth controller. To use a PS3 controller, for example, you have to be rooted, which is one reason why I recommend sticking with a Moga Pro.
I currently play Power Stone Collection on PPSSPP flawlessly. It takes a bit of configuring to get the controller and button mappings to work depending on the emulator, but thats easily done with a bit of googling or youtubing. But yes, the Moga Pro is definitely compatible with psx emulators (especially the major 2, epsxe and the other one...)
Yeah, I recommend the Moga Pro simply from the standpoint that it is the most compatible with games. If a game supports any controller it's probably going to support the Moga. The Moga Pro Power is usually cheaper than the original Moga Pro since the original was discontinued.

It has a better clip for the phone and a better d-pad, plus has a large rechargeable battery that can power your phone if you want. I don't use the charging capability but the extra weight from the battery gives it a better feel (less top heavy).
You can connect the Moga in a generic Bluetooth controller mode or the "Moga" mode. I honestly haven't found any games that support a controller but don't work in the Moga mode. Some more obscure emulators may require you to switch it to the generic mode and configure the buttons manually, but I haven't found any.
Whats the difference between the Hero and Pro version, and why is the Hero 40 bucks more expensive?

The diff is the battery capacity. Moga is THE controller lol. But I have the Kickstarter Drone Controller which I really like as well. I played with the Moga and that is the go to, but I am a casual gamer and after the impulse controller, I didn't expect much from the Drone, but I was surprisingly wrong lol.

The Hero is a smaller form factor. It drops the "handles" so that it can be tossed in a bag more easily.
The reason it's more expensive is that it's backordered from Amazon so you're seeing a third party seller who is ripping people off. If you order it from Amazon it's only $40.
I recommend the Moga Pro also... It works great with Dead Trigger 2, MC4, Dungeon Hunter 4... Download the Moga Pivot app to see exactly what games are compatible.
