Ive noticed a big discrepency between battery stats in recovery to whats in normal use, probably down to me flashing roms.
Can i just go into 4EXT and wipe the battery stats to recalibrate ? or is there a best way to do this ?

Download battery calibration tool from play store, charge battery to 100% then let it discharge to 0% without plugging in between. Best way I've found yet

My wildfire s battery life is very bad.
When fully charged, the phone works for a long time without even 1% drop but when it goes down to 99% then battery began to discharge quickly.
Is there any way to solve this?
HTC is popular for having low battery life so it can't be blamed but
U can underclock it

in my case, I left the phone to discharge and shut off completely. Then, with the last drop of battery juice, I powered it on into CWM recovery and went to advanced -> clear battery stats. Afterwards plug it and charge it to 100% (until the LED turns green), preferably with the phone off.
I know some say it's only a placebo effect, but in my case it makes my 806Mhz overclocked & automatic sync enabled phone to last around 35hours.
You dont want to empty battery in our wfs completely ever
Lition-ion batteries dont like full dischard and they tend to loose juice after that process
Good tip-never discharge your phone so you can't turn him on without charger
My battery life sucks, I think its the quality of HTC batterys, I need to go on eBay and buy a new one

my battery is doing the same, plus it never charges 100%, stops on about 90%, after few hours of charging it gets to about 91
I've never had any real problems with my battery life, but with the CM9 that I'm running as a daily at the moment, it just can hold up a long working day till I get home. Really annoying, but damn I like CM9 to much ! I hope that get's sorted quickly!

Agree with that,its quite correct.
Also guys try this...
-HTC checkin service apk...its a bigeest consumer next to wifi, cell, and display...amongst two top ones.
Do following:download rom toolbox or titanium backup or any similar app
here the links https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wxLDEsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkubGliZXJ0eS50b29sYm94Il0.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5rZXJhbWlkYXMuVGl0YW5pdW1CYWNrdXAiXQ..
with this in app manager find that app...long press on it and choose FREEZE (u can unfreeze it later if you want)...also freeze the maps if not using them...etc...just DO NOT MESS with system apps if you dont know what you are doing.
I prefer Romtoolbox cause its all in one app...you can also wipe your battery stats from there as well...great app for root users...try it out
Hope i helped with giving some of you some ideas what can you do amongst other battery tips im sure you all know by now.
Enjoy
Battery calibration
if you use a custom rom you have to calibrate your battery with néma's battery calibration you can find it on the market .my battery last longer since i did it at any rom instalation
@Fikus011
I freezed those two apps with titanium backup.i wil report later about battery life.
Thanx for the info.
@TheKilLapops
I had already use battery calibration
BTW thanx

i recently flashed an ics rom to my htc g2, after flashing it all worked perfect but the phone was reading the battery incorrectly.
do any of you have the same problem? if so do u know of a way to fix this??
wipes battery stats in recovery, charge fully (let is sit overnight to be safe) wipe battery stats again in am. let it drain to around 15% let it charge full (again overnight if possible) then see if you good, i have ocd so id probably wipe stats again just for safe measure.
if this wont help more info will be needed to trouble shot your problem

As far as I know, battery stats are wiped every time you unplug from power with a full charge.
Also, battery stats have nothing to do with the battery % indicator.
Please read this and this.

yes I've read similar articles to those before, thing is I don't belive it wil give you more battery life, that's just silly. for the occasional time my battery indicator has been off, and rebooting alone doesn't work, wiping the bat stats does. now maybe this has just been a coincidence but it has never failed me. if it happens again ill just plug and unplug my phone to see if it helps... or ill just stick with wiping the stats and won't complain if it doesn't work

hey guys... ive done the battery status wipe but no luck my phone reads the wrong battery percentage. idk what to do now. last thing im thinking is reverting back to stock froyo, were battery stats were being read correctly. also i found a gb rom called PantsRom, its based on the stock gb update for the HTC Vision, with all bloat gone and rooted with stock Vision kernel. im going to try that rom out today after i get off of school and see what happens. will post back then. again THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE ADVICE AND THE HELP!
just flashed PantsRom (Android 2.3.3) left stock with all bloat removed. (no overclock) will post back to c if battery is correct. Hopefully itll be okay :good:
battery still wont read correctly. last thing i have left to do is to go all the wayy back to froyo and loose root.. well c what happens then
EDIT - Even after reverting VERYTHING back to stop the battery did not seem to be reading correctly... UUGGHHH!!! PLEASE HELP!
Have u tried running the battery down to nothing?
Run till the phone simply wont stay on and try to charge it to full from there (like over night)
then maybe wipe battery stats again
however i do believe battery stats are wiped every time a full charged is achieved like mentioned above.

Hi everybody!
i've got a little doubt about the battery calibration method and tool..so...i've done all the process(the one suggested by the user Ganymedes with the battery calibrator from the market) every time i flashed a new rom update(in this case the sandvold ICS),for calibrate the original 1400mAh desire battery, and also because my desire shutted down at around 15% battery remaining..and every time without any positive result..so i tried in many ways, and at the end i kept the battery as it comes out after all the times i tried to calibrate it...but now,i just bought a brand new high capacity mugen battery..the bigger one with 3200mAh,'cause the old one drained too fast..so,the question is..i've got to recalibrate the phone again,'cause i changed the battery?..i wish to precise that i haven't calibrated the battery after the last ROM update..so,what you think?'cause i read that the battery calibrator app will save and make permanent the battery stats..and i'm afraid that an old batterystats with the info from the stock battery is still saved..misreading the power of the new battery!
thanks for all the answers!
Is far as I know the calibration configuration is saved on the battery not on the rom.

So you need to calibrate it because you replaced the battery.
via xda app
Cycling the battery through one full charge and full dis-charge cycle should do the trick. I don't think a calibration tool will help much. Wiping battery stats is also useless.
Hello
A few weeks ago i installed clockworkmod en cyanogenmod 9. This because i thougth it would be better for my battery.
When i installed those mods, i didn't remove the batterystats.
By installing those mods, i concluded that the software wasn't the problem why my battery was draining that much, but it was the battery itself.
When i brought it back to the store, they told me it was damaged.
So because of that, i ordered a new one.
Now i have the following question.
1) When i replace my old battery with the new, do i have to clear the batterystats via clockworkmod?
2) in fact, i never cleared those stats. Should i have to do this?
Thanks!
Ps, sorry for my bad english.

Battery stats are cleared whenever your battery reaches 100% (when you fully charge it). So it actually is useless to manually reset the battery stats.
Ok so your battery is damaged? How was the battery life before you flashed CM9? I don't think that it is the ROM's fault. Was your battery swollen? (getting fat)
No you dont have to reset battery stats.. Just keep in mind that CM9 and CM10 uses kernel 3.0 and they cause fast battery drain...You may have to install some apps to prolong the battery life like deep sleep battery saver and Greenify.

Hello,
Battery life before CM9 wasn't also that good.
This was one of the reasons why i changed to CM9.
After the installation, i noticed that there wasn't improvement in batterylife. It become even a bit worser...
Because of this, i went to the store to check the battery. They tested it and told me that the battery indeed was swollen.
So, if i understand good, i just have to replace the battery without clearing stats.
For the rest i just have to install some apps to counter the kernel 3.0 drainage?
Yeah you are right. Just charge the battery 100% and start using your phone.

What we need to do a Battery Calibration, and each did what rom replacement batteries should be calibrated?
What effect did the Battery Calibration in our device?
Apps like Battery Calibration basically removed battery.bin which is removed at every full charge. If you want to calibrate your battery, i heard that you should completely use phone until 0% and charge full(100%) without using it
