First of all, ask for help in right section, Q&A is for all your problems.
Second of all, use Odin v3.0x and flash Stock ROM. If this doesn't work then you have a problem. SDS?

Are you sure your device is rooted properly? Did you grant SuperSU permissions?
If you have cwm recovery then this will happen, in such case you need to flash stock recovery.

Note 2 "died"?

Hi guys.
Someone help me. Was having problems with my note 2 switching off by itself so tried factory reset. While the reset was in progress I springed my battery off by mistake. The phone now just reboots from "Samsung galaxy note 2 n7100" then shows the Android robot, then back to"Samsung galaxy note 2 n7100"....
Cannot boot into recover but can get to download mode. Tried reinstalling another rom (not custom) via odin but outcome is same as above.
Is my phone a write-off? The phone is currently not even being recognised by the computer. ..thought it was usb drivers but not the case. Reinstalled drivers and my friends phone is recognized very well.
Kies does not even detect the phone.
Please help guys.

Try a different usb port if phone is not detected in download mode & exit kies while using odin!
Thanks.

N7100 does not boot past start up screen

Hi All,
Couple days ago I tried to flash my note2 with mobile odin back to stock rom but something went wrong and since I have not been able to get past the welcome screen *Samsung Galaxy Note 2*. I can get into a recovery screen but I am unable to choose a new rom to flash with.
I ve tried to flash it with odin 3.07 and via kies but no joy.
At this stage I am quite desperate to get this resolved. Can anyone help me?
Download correct stock rom to pc. Mount SD Card in recovery. Transfer file. flash from recovery.
Flash stock rom via pc odin
make a nandroid bake up as soon as you root your phone next time.

Unfortunately I do not have that option. I only have volume up to continue or volume down to restart. When I go volume up the phone goes into download mode.
Yeah. Then you have to flash stock firmware.

True but i had to use Odin and every guideline said the filed had to color yellow while for me it stayed blue but i figured heck at the moment it's just a paperweight so I don't have a lot to loose.
Now Rooting it again and placing my nandroid back up back and I am all sorted.
Thank you again!

I lost my data anyway I had backed it up with titanium but ran into problems restoring it... Lesson learned to create an image of my Android once I got it sorted again.

I had the same problem and almost had a heart attack thinking I bricked my phone when downgrading back to 4.1.1... Needless to say I just had to do a factory reset in recovery and it worked fine

You flashed an international rom and are most likely hard bricked. Try booting download mode. If you can there's hope, if not you'll have to send it somewhere for a jtag repair.

Rogers 1317m note 2 to n7105

Hi. Before flashing PA I was on 1317m Rogers but after it switched to n7105. There's no problem with that right? Btw everything is working perfectly.

You can easily change it by editing build.prop using root explorer. Open root explorer, system press n hold build.prop use text editor then change model to l317M.
Thanks!

Sorry my bad, I would stay away from N7100 and N7105 section. There so many N7100 and N7105 ported rom for our device in att section so just use the ones from here. If read the changelogs of some roms here you will see MF2 roms are originally from N7xx roms.
Edit..
Flashing rom made for N7xx device can mess up your modem, imei etc. I
Thank you much much for this info. I did try to flash a n1700 Rom once and like you said I didn't get any connectivity on my Rogers carrier even when I found a modem to flash, and ended up having to go back to stock plus factory resets which is such a pain

Brick like dead screen, not responding to anything or wont show n your computer when connected to usb or simply expensive paper weight. Only way to revive it flash via jtag etc. There is also soft brick where its only black screen but you can still flash roms via Odin and flashing wrong rom can cause soft brick too.

What he said above...
There is also a corrupt efs partition. If you didn't have it backed up you have no imei, and so you have a phone that can turn on but can't connect to any network, this can be permanent and has happened to people from flashing n7100 roms

yeah hard bricked or corrupted efs both suck :/
I have never bricked a phone and been using android since early 2009.
I'm crazy cautious
Back up of EFS is a must too, it is a good habit that you always have nand, modem csc patch and efs back up saved to you external card or computer.
Once your a little more familiar with your phone this is a good thread to check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411. For the most part the i317 and 7105 are identical except for modem and gps files DO NOT FLASH A 7100 ROM Unless it has been modded following the posted thread. Personally i have been using Jedi x17 it has everything i want extended boot menu,Lidroid 23 toggles, speed tweaks etc... Now i have made my own modifications as well (status bar, speedometer and ringtones) I also have been working on modding MA3 rom as well in my spare time but really Jedi works just fine. Just my two cents. Good Luck and have fun,Dave
