hello, so my phone turned off after the battery finished normally but after that it was accidentally turned back on several times by the power button being pushed from my pocket. now it shows a red led when plugged in and after a while it turns on the off when it reaches the lock screen i dont know what to do please help
I am having trouble comprehending (sorry)
But what i understand is:
Your phone FINISHED charging and then it turned off (by itself? or did you do it?). While in off mode, it was turned on (but what u mean several times?)
And the red LED means low charge :/ and it reboots and turns off at the lock screen etc
Anyway:
I would recommend reflashing the firmware, only if you have enough battery to do so

thanks for the reply but no thats not what i mean. what i mean is my phones battary is 0% and when i put it to charge it charges for 2 min then turns back on but when it reaches the lockscreen it wont have enough battary so it automatically turns off and the process repeats
Yeah i had that problem too dont panic. If ur on a custom kernel, put the phone on charging, when led is red, phone off.Keep the phone in ur hands for 10 - 15 min. When kernel logo appears and led is pink press the volume up button.Flash other kernel in recovery.
There z no other method except this, even fastboot will not work
Press Thanks

well did that but it didnt work either the problem is that my battery is on 0% so it didnt work
This has happen to me kany times, this is what you do:
-First charge it when its off untill it boots
-Then do a hard power off (vol + until three vibrations)
-once its off plug in your charger and it will enter offline charging and just let it charge till about 20%
-Then you can turn it on

No its usually a kernel problem, as many others have had this problem before. What kernel and ROM/firmware are you using? Nova kernel has such a problem for offline charging.

You may have bricked it. Have you tried installing any rooms lately? Consider flashing back your stock firmware with "flash tool".
I have a stock device that has never been flashed or tampered with. Does anyone know what the flashing led mean?

If it's never even been rooted, then you should take it in for repair. Maybe a hardware issue.

Maybe if he researched but oh well, this what I have and sometimes it indicates a hardware component is damaged meaning find out what it is,
you should:
Go to your phone provider and ask them do NOT MENTION ABOUT ANY ROOTING OR BL UNLOCKING.
Find out what problem it has .
Or never use it again (Dont do it)
In my case the digitlizer "Screen" is broken, because back in march I used to boot my phone and the screen wouldnt sometimes work of course there could be another problem but...
Yea I realised I tried turned it on with the battery in the wrong way. I realised it didn't come on and when I fixed the battery right it still wouldn't come on. It just kept flashing the red light only when I tried to charge via USB or wall charger

no there is no recovery not rooted. he was using original stock firmware.
Maybe a brief description of the events leading up to the current state of the phone would help.
If he ain't rooted I would suggest to contact htc or his carrier support. If he got his phone for less than two weeks ago he can go to his carrier and change it. It's htc policy.

Please help me get through of my situation guys :crying:

Well,I sent it to Sony and used my warranty...
Seems like it can't be fixed by normal flashtool or PC Companion or SUS because in flashtool,it says failed verification block or something like that...in PC Companion,it just said no update for your phone when I want to repair it...also same applied to SUS...
I think it is really fu**ed up..even it can be boot, but it can't be fixed normally by using those tools...I can say that this phone are now hardbricked but in other way which can be turned on but cannot be fixed...and seriously : The guy at the Sony Center is like a 'Yes' guy which always said "Yes,I understand...so this phone cannot go to menu eh?Okay,I understand...*fill in the warranty card*" without even check out the phone through it xD :highfive: anyway, thanks for trying to help me...
I've got a dead xperia s, I only have the red led as mentionned in a few other threads.
Nothing is happening when i press the power + volume up or down keys.
I've been trying the sus tool as mentioned with rubber band trick for a few hours but without result.
the red light stays on, after a while it disappears (no led at all) and returns.
Is there anything else I can try.
I've also read I must discharge the battery, but how can I discharge it without turning the phone on ?
One time I did get the green led, but it failed beceause no driver was found.
How did this happen? What have you done before hand?

maybe now your xperia s is discharged
doesn't it charge when connected with pc ?
not in fastboot mode, and if you connect your xperia s normally and nothing appears, you need to charge your battery outside of xperia s
Remove battery, put charger, put battery back. And yes, you will void your warranty.
what good would do the charger after removing the battery ?
It will give the battery a voltage shock.
How can it give a voltage chock when I first need to remove the battery ?
I have also read the disconnecting the flex cable from the mainboard could be a solution, does it need to be the flex cable or is removing the battery enough ?
Remove it. Put it back in. Start charging it and then the voltage tweak is going to happen. But removing the battery it's not easy, I do not recommend to do it,maybe at an authorized center.
Hello,
I tried to flash a custom kernel for my Xperia ion running the stock ics rom 6.1.E.3.7
After successful flashing, when the sony logo showed up. I held down the power+volume up buttons.
Then the phone suddenly went dead.
When i plug it into a wall charger the orange led flashes rapidly but fainter than usual.
I read the other threads frm xda and left the phone to charge for more than 24hrs.
Now, after abt one hour of charging the flashing led goes even more fainter, it's hard to notice, and stays that way.
No combinations of buttons have worked so far.
No flashmode, no fastboot mode.
None of the solutions from other threads worked.
It's been like 30 hours since my phone has been bricked.
Plugged in all day, hoping something would happen.
Anyone got any ideas??
So desperate..
Edit: none of the buttons are responding.
But, when the red is most faint, the led disappears and comes back on if I were to press any of the buttons.
I dnt know, whether it's charging, but it's plugged in. And rapidly flashing red led for the initial 2 hours or so..
