Thank you thread - Sprint LG Optimus G

So there has been a lot of negativity of late that I am noticing regarding the Jelly Bean roms, stock JB, broken links for downloads, you name it.
I just wanted to create a thread, and maybe it's a bit redundant, that is dedicated to saying thanks to the Developers.
Appropriately then, i would like to thank:
AdriVelasquez for the Lifeless ROMs, his "how to" guides and many mods and tweaks
LokifishMarz for Imperium
Shadow1 for his unlock AIO, the radio update and the stock flashable JB ROM
Epic for the camera Mod
Jokersax for his kernel
Xboxfanj for development going back to my Epic 4g
Everyone doing work behind the scenes
ShellNutt for sticking with me in IRC while learning to use LGNPST
Nericus, while not development per se, he wrote the "how to disconnect the battery" thread, which is ridiculously helpful.
I know there are people I'm missing, so i will update this later, but these are the people responsible for the development i have used to date and I'm grateful for their time and work. The OG has without a doubt flown under the radar, but it's a great phone, and the development i have seen has been excellent thus far.
Again, thank you.

xboxfanj - Well...I would like to thank him for everything really. Without him we wouldn't have much.
Shelnutt and all of Team Codefire - For unlocking the device and everything else you guys do.
Sharkboy - For all the work and testing you have done for almost everything on here.
Dees_Troy - The official support from TWRP has been phenomenal and a blessing.
evodev - For all the work he has put in with his ROM and all the help.
autoprime and everyone on IRC - All the up to date information and help especially with the EFS issues
b-reezy - The stock ZV9 ROM was amazing when it first came out and helped with development that we have now
Th3Bill - Everything you have done for us
AdriVelazquez - Everything. Literally everything. I will gladly test anything you make (Even if I do end up in a bootloop and get yelled at by my GF cause my phone doesn't work. Haha.)
Thank you to everyone! This place wouldn't be anything without every single one of us!
I am sure I am forgetting some but this adds to the original list.

Great idea!
I want to thank my mom for the update. I want to thank Synergy, Interloper, Shelnutt2, Autoprime, and Xboxfanj for trying very hard and not giving up. I want to thank everyone on irc for running a customer service support line the last week. I want to thank all the guys that were written on the initial post for their unwavering dedication.
Damn, what a perfect way to use my 1500 post!

Thanks for the recognition but the only things of note that I have done are convince sextape to give us lgnpst and the tots and drivers and I found zv9. I've helped with cm a bit, but synergy took over since he is much better than I am.

I'm late to the party, but thanks for the appreciation. I only hope that I can offer a scintilla of the knowledge and development other developers like Shellnutt, Joker, and Th3Bill--just to name a few--offer for this device.

Gotta thank the devs for putting in the time and effort into pushing these updates out to us faster than the carriers. The knowledge you guys possess is incredible, and not only shows by your releases, but with the help you give on xda and the irc channels.

Sorry guys, but we don't allow off-topic threads.

Why I love XDA

Best Devs and Themers bar none can be found right here.
As someone who has trouble holding onto a device for very long (as referenced by me many times already) I've since found a serious love for (addiction to?) custom ROMs and themes. And here at XDA there are so many to choose from that every time I flash a new one I feel like I have a whole new phone in my hand. Usually by now I'm beating back a major craving to buy a new device but for once, since my smartphone buying days started, I'm content with my phone and okay to wait and see what's next. (just hate hearing about it for months in advance lol)
I hope you know the tireless work you guys (gender non-specific) put into these ROMs/Themes does not go unappreciated. If I'd paid more attention to XDA in my OG EVO days I might've avoided the mistake that was EVO 3D and enjoyed my OG EVO until my upgrade (the E4GT) became available.
Major kudos to all of you and thank you, thank you for your hard work and dedication.
Well said, my wife seen some of these roms and the themes that go with them then looked at her stock e4gt and finally told me to root and install blazer 4.1 ROM with ics sherbet theme. Now she has a new respect for xda and all the hard work these devs and themers put in for us all.

I feel ya. My girl just installed go launcher after three months and couldn't believe all the different things she could do. I know its bad of me to not mention it to her sooner but just like noobs in the forums, I knew I would be doing double time to help her. This way she moves into it at her own pace per se. I know I'm in for it when ICS is released. Even though it will have the same touchwiz feel, I can see that the reversed "ok" or "cancel" is gonna be enough to open a can. If you know what I mean. Lol.

Yep!
XDA = Good stuff (especially the E4GT community)
I agree. The Et4g made me want to contribute. Everyone is friendly and they are a bunch of funny smart asses (You know who you are) Lol. I actually feel like i fit in. Plus is bar none the best SGS2 device across every other carrier.

Thanks for bringing that up because along with the Devs and Themers I really should've added the every day ordinary posters here on XDA. Many of you guys make me laugh, often and a lot, but you also help me along in the learning process.
So my thanks to all of you as well.

Just a friendly hello

Hello, I'm not all that new to xda or rooting. I just don't have much to contribute to the forums by way of help or development. I recently switched from "big red" to Sprint. I've owned three HTC devices, HTC Inc I and II and the HTC Rezound (all rooted) thanks to the good people here on xda. I am in love with my E4GT and am currently on Calkulin's E4GT 2 ROM v1.6 fe22 and loving it. Prior to joining xda, I've gained a lot of knowledge from xda and I guess now it's time to say thank you all for helping me outta my own messes. I only wish I had more to contribute in return. Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself to the community and say, thank you and hello. cheers

butter smooth

I beleive everyone deserves a chance. That being said i dont know what would be sadder.Having a dev promise stuff and not deliver,or having the chance we lost a developer because he was so quick to be judged. In my opinion the fact he added 1 new difference to a rom makes it different. To the developer. If you can change this rom like you said,do it prove them wrong. If you cant then its messed you would get peoples hope up.
Couldn't this have just been posted in the Butter Smooth thread?

Would you guys want this ported?

Hello guys its been a while well I was curious if you guys would want this rom ported or not. Wanted to give back to the good old evo community. It is called bindroid and its available for the dhd,mt4g,sxl,inspire 4g and a few other devices
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o71s2BX1cU&feature=youtube_gdata_player
It is a fully themed sense 3.5 rom that is available for many devices. I just released miui for the sprint s3 and wanted to know if you guys wanted bindroid so I can start working on it after I'm done fixing some issues with miui rom on the s3

I still have my OG but screen is cracked and LCD is leaking. It pains me to turn it on and see it like it is. I'm gonna need some testers that can provide log cats and that know what they're doing and also don't mind wiping their phone at random notices . This drama really could have been avoided. Still unsure why download links were removed and project was killed outright instead of handed off to someone else who wanted to maintain it. Makes no sense to me, especially having done a little dev work myself in the past.
Anyhow, happy to see it make a return.

It really wasn't that dramatic, the rules of the Dev section say that you have to provide support in your thread, and since he got a new job he wasn't able to do that anymore and had it shut down until someone else took over. Now its coming back out under new management and we can all be excited.
