Hello this is my first post. So tell me if I'm doing anything wrong. Okay onto my story, when I reply to a text it shows in top of the recent text I received. Like if someone texted me "you coming over?" I would respond with "yea be over real quick" but my message would appear on top. It would look like this.
(yea be over real quick)
(you coming over?)
But if I wait like 5 minutes later then respond my text box would be on the bottom.

You haven't told us if you're on stock or running a custom rom, rooted, etc. When did this start happening?
It started when I first got. This is stock. Not rooted or anything. I tested this on my dad's s3 and same problem.

I would start by clearing the messaging cache. Settings>apps>all>messaging
Then I might try booting into recovery and wiping cache if that didn't work
Did you and your dad update the firmware to jellybean or is that what it arrived with?
It came with jelly bean 4.1.1.

Did you recently move to aokp? Or did this seem to just develop on its own? Check any apps or mods you recently installed as well.
If nothing else works you can always call t-mobile to see if they'll reprovision your account (i think thats what its called). I'd try a stock build first though.

I have the att pebble blue gs3 and since the new update my Samsung keyboard has stop functioning correctly. I know some people do not like the stock keyboard, but I do. It actually works as far as typing but the auto correction doesn't actually correct anything anymore. It will just ask me if i want to add the mispelled word to my dictionary every time. Is there something I need to change or reset? I've already deleted the cache and wiped the data for the keyboard. Any input would be greatly appreciated. If this has already been posted I apologize in andvance as I didn't see it.

Well they are sending mr a new device. I'm going to receive it in sometime next week. Will post when I get it. Just a side note that my friend has the same phone on the same network and he is experiencing no problems. Had to fight with att because they wanted me to send it back to Samsung to reflash it. That wasn't going to happen.

Well I have the new gs3 and still the same problems. Guess I'll have to wait until jellybean for anything to be fixed.

Thanks to Samsung's fast updating now a days, they caught the exploit and are telling galaxy owners to update. I'm glad Samsung is working even harder now to keep its line up safe and up to date. The update is being release over air.

No. They disabled a lot of the dialer codes starting in UVALH2. So the latest official update already had the vulnerability patched. This is often the case when stuff like this gets publicly released. Its usually already addressed. I mentioned it a couple times in the thread someone started yesterday.
As far as im aware the leaks are still 'on hold' for all devices. Still not sure why Samsung did that though!

Just out of curiosity, did you try clicking on a link, or entering the dialer code to test it out?
Im just curious if they actually did disable the dialer code or if they just prevented it from opening by pressing a link.
FYI, I tried the dialer code and it did still initiate the factory reset, BUT, im also running a sort of hybrid, frankensteined rom where ive been playing with different apks from different leaks. I may have changed something that caused it to work for me.
(Im planning to reflash everthing later an will test again anyway, just curious as to your experience). Also what rom and build are you using?

yup, thats pretty much it. Most of the time we wont hear about an exploit or other security flaws until after the problem has a fix. Its just plain poor judgement to basically advertise a major issue before that.

Thanks for specifying that for me. Kinda surprised though since they disabled many of the dialer codes, figured they would've done this one as well. In the end I assumed itd be one of the two, or both. (The disabled codes I keep mentioning are only partially so. You can still execute them via cmd line).

You can hit menu, add text, hit "text templates" and select a quick reply. I think they can be edited in settings somewhere.
Not as easy as a dropdown, but at least it's there.
