I just read within the description of the app that it requires root. This is the "CSC changer" app in the play store.

Just flash Germany.
When the updated AFR is released then flash it. Nothing will be affected and you'll be back to OTA updates.
Personally, I find spending 15 minutes flashing with Odin beats OTA anyway.

Exactly the same build here! ... but my problem is I can not find the way or program to do that !?
Tried the *#272*IMEI# routine = nothing happened, tried the SGS CSC Selector app from Play Store = nothing happened, so the only way I can enter CSC is via ROM Customizer
but when I hit install to the CSC code I like, the SGN2 factory resets itself and go back to XEF version again (kind a back to the begining )
Well i used the samsing galaxy s/s2/s3 csc and i was able to change my csc to btu

Try connecting your phone to PC using KIES. If KIES says cannot update the firmware then I hope you won't be able to receive OTA updates as well. May be someone more experienced can help.
If you use the link from this post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34706762&postcount=2, then you will see which updates your firmware caters for. If you need to, you can download a more specific one also from the link.
Press THANKS it it helped
Tried on S3
I have S3 with CSC XEF (France)... using app samsing galaxy s/s2/s3 csc... i changed to BTU... the device (on 4.0.4 UK with multi CSC) was able to download 4.1.1 (BTU) but installation error always... tried like 4-5 times.... same error and when I changed back to XEF and flashed 4.0.4 for XEF... and connected to net... installation to 4.1.1 XEF was successful......

Your rom is one of from gulf country and there is no update still
You can flash any country rom, and you will get OTA when there is update for country which you have flashed.

Hello and thanks for your reply
well i try before flashing a diffrent rom but my csc will remain the same and when connecting to kies it say your device does not support trough kies
on sammobile all firmwares comes just one file PDA
how can i flash full firmware ?
PDA files comes with csc packed inside and in some cases this happens it doesn't flash csc
You may retry flashing same rom with csc tab instead of pda if csc doesn't apply correctly.
Otherwise you can reflash rom when there is update available for your csc.

Hi
i need some help
i got a Note 2 N7105, and a few weeks back i have flashed to a German DBT firmware 4.3, but now the 4.3 firmware is available for the UK EE EVR. and i ave flashed, but the csc in not right.
how can i change my mobile csc back to EVR (EE UK)?
because the firmware is already EVR
Please Help
Thanks

If you flashed a stock rom with odin then the csc file should be included. Most of these are for 4.1.2 but i think they should work

There is a csc changer app in the playstore but it will factory reset your phone if you change csc with it so back up first

and how do i do it, without messing up my phone?

I think you have to be rooted to change your csc. I'm not sure why your csc wasn't changed when you reflashed to UK rom

tell me if my right.
the csc needs to be the same in the phone and in the firmware is that right?
so my firmware is EVR UK EE
my phone is German DBT
its a big mess.
i do not know what to do.
thanks
The csc is just the carrier specific code ie bloatware etc. Apart from the odd app in playstore not working due to being region specific I don't think you'll have any issues. But Dr Ketan is the guru on all things note 2 if you have any problems

CSC Rules??
I just want to make sure of this...
I've just flashed a modified version of the Stock 4.3 (on my on GT-N7105) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588787&highlight=modem
It works great, but it has a Singapore CSC, which messes with the USSD messages I receive when I do internet banking. Can I flash just the CSC from my stock South African 4.1.2 build?
And more generally, can you flash a CSC from one android build to another build? Does it have to match by Android version (so must I flash a 4.3 CSC to a 4.3 FW), or by phone (can I flash any Note2 CSC from any build)? What are the rules for CSC flashing?

Help understanding different regions firmware

Hey guys,
Just got my P605 in a store here in Portugal, and even though it is awesome as it is, I can't live without root xb
I know I'm going to trip Knox eventually, so off to the point:
My firmware version, according to *#1234# is as follows
AP: P605XXUBMJ9
CP: P605XXUBMJ4
CSC: P605ATOMBL1
The thing is, according to the original thread of Universal Root de la Vega (if I understood it correctly), I should search in SamMobile or google for my CSC, but I can't find it anywhere. I noticed, however, that there's a Portugal(TMN) version available in SamMobile, and TMN is my carrier, so I'd like to know if is there any problem in doing the URLD procedure with a "different" (I suppose its a different firmware, I'm coming from a Nexus device which is much simpler to root when compared to Samsung, or any other brand for that matter xb) version, like the one I mentioned above (http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=22912)
Thanks in advance for all your answers
PS. Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I didn't find the answer anywhere and that's why I asked... If that's the case, please point me in the right direction
PS2. I'm already assuming that I'll trip Knox, if there's anyway that I won't, even better

Forgot to mention in my previous post that the tablet came preconfigured in German, so I guess this firmware is the one for Germany.

Just flashing another firmware doesn't trip KNOX does it I mean, as long as I don't modify it or try to downgrade...

That's right, as long as you aren't trying to downgrade bootloaders, replace kernel or recovery with custom ones, Knox will play nice.... Just find the firmware you want and flash it with PC ODIN....
If you're using ODIN 3.09 the single firmware.tar file goes in AP... If it's a broken up rom just follow the pieces - ap in ap, csc in csc etc....
Older versions it's PDA...
