Definitely. Also, Not all the device can play tegra 3 exclusive games:silly:
But that is the only advantage we have. Unluckily, tegra 3 devices were a pain in the a** when it comes to gaining s-off

s-off u mean rooting !?
u need to unlock the bootloader then flash recovey with cmd and thats it .. thats how i rooted my friend's device ... its soo easy !!!

Nope, s-off means "security-off". It has a lot of advantages as compared to s-on.
Now boot to your bootloader, if you find the word S-ON below the "UNLOCKED" then you are not the lucky few who are s-off.
It has a lot of advantage, for example if you bricked your phone, your carrier will not know if your phone is rooted or not because you don't need to unlock your bootloader to root your phone, you also don't need to flash the boot.img when flashing roms, and a whole lot more.:good:

if you like custom roms and modding your phone, get the HOX. i just unlocked bootloader, installed recovery and nandroid the stock rom. flashed leedroid and enjoy a none sense rom.
here's the place to be if you like to play around with your phone.
did you root your previous phones ?
but if you dont care about these things, then the question is, do you prefer htc sence or xperia s launcher and of course which design ?
although it is huge, has no exchangeable battery and no sd card, i am glad i bought it
A woman at work has an S and it is nowhere near as user friendly. Sense is the most user friendly UI of all smartphones.

I did root all my previous phones:
-HTC DREAM, HTC DESIRE, XPERIA X8, XPERIA PLAY...
And I wasn't big fan of SENSE UI, I like some things from sense but not everything.
And I have fallowing problem with my SONY XPS, Boot Loader Can not be unlock unfortunately
So this is my reason #1 I should I change my phone...
BTW.
There is no sd card slot on SONY XPS and there is the same story with battery.

so get the hox, you wont be disappointed. just make sure when you mod your phone, that your battery is fully charged, as already mentioned make a nandroid backup and before wipe everything, you must have a custom rom on your internal sd card. usb mounting is not supported yet.
And learn how to use fastboot.

Just be aware that unlocking bootloader via htcdev warrants some warranty issues. Some users have had issues when sending back to HTC repairs. Some have been fine but HTC can use this against you.
There is no S-OFF at present.

As sly said, no.
Why? Because the Wildfire S is similar to the Wildfire only in name and form factor.
The internals are completely different.
If i install it would my cpu be overlocked to 600mhz. And i will have 2.3 android, and 3.5 htc sense.
And phones have same display resolution, only wildfire has trackball.
Sry. for my bad english.

Nope, from what I know, the S has a higher resolution.
Ok. But than could i install rom from htc explorer
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda app-developers app
:lmao: i think you need to reread the product descriptions.
The wildfire s is an upgrade to the wildfire, the original wildfire is ldpi and the wildfire s is mdpi so no they have totally different screen resolutions.
As they said above the internals are completely different and it will never work without a lot of tweaking........

he seems to not understanding this, guy you cant install roms from other phones. you can overclock wildfire to 761 with certain kernels. so read the wildfire index and try transilating.
not be as they are totally different internally, but could cook rom but it would take some work and effort to wildfire specifications

You can install apks by enabling unknown sources in settings without root.
If you unlock you can install custom roms and root.

You've done a mistake by posting on a HoX forum cos the majority here love their phones. Newly created account flaming? Original? No. Reported? Yes.
