Just download your new CWM I would recommend the touch version. Rename it to recovery.img and push it over using the commands you listed in the link above (step 20).

Do you have a nandroid backup of your rom? If not, what's your carrier? HONO has posted the original BELL and ATT img's as well IIRC.
Copy the recovery.img from it, and renaming recovery-backup.img to recovery.img -- backup your current rom before trying anything -- then reboot and try to install with rom manager as usual.

thanks now im just sort of figuring out how to delete my posts...

I wouldn't worry about it.. PM a moderator to delete them. It's not really a big deal. Most people probably just spam 10 posts to get out of the "New Member" usergroup anyways.

[Q] Why can't I get the market to work?

I'm having a problem and hopefully it's something simple I overlooked. I installed Cyanogen's V6.0.0. RC1 and the market won't find anything I search for. I tried a different ROM and the same problem. Now I have no ROM Manager and I can't get into recovery. Recovery goes away every time I wipe to install a new ROM. Is there something I can do to fix it?
If u just noticed it then its not ur Rom, market has been down on different devices to night since about 12

After I install a new ROM and try to boot into recovery mode when the phone is turned off it doesn't load Clockwork Recovery it loads the stock recovery and I don't have any options until I use ROM Manager and install the recovery image from there.
Hope that's enough info.

You need to go in to the menu of the stock recovery (up volume + power), and select apply update.zip to go in to clockwork.

Can't boot into recovery at all....

I flashed the new clockwork mod recovery, and now I can't boot into recovery. At all. Not even power down and volume works. I've tried to restore a backup rom using rom manager, but it just goes to the bootloader menu. So confused... What do I do?

Guess you will have to start from scratch....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829045
Copy the PC36IMG.zip file on your sd card and go into bootloader. Bootloader will automatically scan the file for you and when asked to flash, flash it.
If that works it will atleast get you into a stock ROM and you can go on from there.
Let me know if that works
Damn. Ok. Guess I'll try that when I get home from work :/ Thank you, I'll keep you posted.

Don't do that yet check my posts I had this problem a day ago.
Uninstall Rom manager then reinstall from market, flash clockwork, hit "boot into recovery", if works reboot and flash amon ra if wanted.
This solved my issue 100%
If not they gave me a link for help. Try that first before redoing everything.

That's the route I took. With the added bonus that whatever unrevoked 3 might have done to my radios when I originally rooted with the Android Central method is now bypassed.
Just need to get CM back in fighting trim again now that I've reflashed it.

No recovery

Im just did the root process. Snd everything is working great. I installed rom manager and used that to flash cwm recovery. It says I have it now installed. But when I reboot into recovery it goes into some sort of Android thing. I can't even make a backup. Any thoughts

Don't use ROM Manager to install recovery. It doesn't work properly.
Use the Auto Root package in the development sticky (also in my signature)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342728
I've heard that ROM Manager essentially boots a recovery over your actual recovery, so you don't really have a real one. Like sfhub said, use that auto root package and select C to get CWM on your phone

Installed TWRP...How do I remove CWM?

I installed TWRP and like it better than CWM...so I want to remove CWM.
How can I do this?
The 2 GB of space that blibs takes up is ridiculous...

Can you be more specific? Do I just delete the Clockworkmod folder and that's it? There's nothing in the root?

Did you use goo manager to install your twrp? I believe it removes it for you.... Cuz I don't see cwm files anywhere after in installed twrp with goo.

Yes I did. I still see clockworkmod folder in my file explorer with everything in there, but I don't think deleting that will completely remove cwm
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
CWM itself was removed off your phone upon installing TWRP with Goo Manager.
What you see is the folder in which backups are stored.
You can delete this folder.
If you doubt, just copy the clockworkmod folder to your PC before deleting it off your phone.
As said above twrp goes right over cwm what's left over is backups and other things not needed anymore. Those are safe to delete

Thanks for the responses!
Hi. I am also in this predicament.
I had installed TWRP. Had issues with installing a ROM and installed CWM.
Was able to installed ROM using CWM.
Now I wanted to go back to TWRP more flexibility on my part like naming baks but even installing Goomanager, it does not have the "top right" option where I can install the recovery script.
Is there a way to reinstall TWRP without going back to stock and keeping my current ROM?
Thanks.

In Goomanager do you not see the option to install the script when you hit the menu button? That's where it was for me...

And yes delete all those nasty cwm blobs and **** they put when your done using it Go to goomanager and there should be an option for open recovery and that downloads and installs twrp for you
Yes, I had installed Goomanager but I dpnt see the option to install the script on the main page even on the top beside the search icon.

Aroma only installs selected apks not system files

When I try to install Hyperdrive rom latest release 15 I select all i want in the aroma but then it starts to install only the apps i chose. It is not installing any of the mandatory system files which makes sense why it installs in like 10 seconds.. I wipe everything sys, delvik cache, cache, data.. using TWRP 2.7.0.1
please help me
This is also happening when I try to install Wicked Rom so ANY suggestions would be awesome. I'm probably going to return to stock and then flash new rom
after reinstalling stock firmware through odin and then trying to install a custom rom same thing is still happening so im guessing i should try and go to stock and than completely wipe everything and then try from there?
I'd install a ROM that doesn't have an aroma installer. Then install the one you want with aroma.

After successfully installing stock and TWRP recovery 2.7.0.1
I took your advice and tried install gpe rom and still after rebooting i just get a black boot screen samsung galaxy s4 screen
Is there more i could wipe like a partition that is still bad maybe?
I'm going to go to stock again but this time with odin 3.07 not what i was using which was a much older odin and im going to then install a custom recovery and root and please do tell me your favorite recovery im probably gonna try oudhs cwm and then ill see if i run into problems installing roms.
The main problem is the rom likes to install all its apk options for example adobe reader or samsung music app but it will NOT install any mandatory system files which make the phone work.
after i get stock i also wipe data factory reset in stock recovery which delete everything which is fine i knew it would.
This time i'll also be resetting the flash counter which i havent done
Have you tried using clockworkmod recovery with ROM manager?

I haven't but i will try. At the moment i am at stock firmware and I would like to know what my filesystem should look like.. When I go into just "/" section before sdcard it shows me lots of folders some looking unnessary and maybe in the way of installing my rom normally View attachment 2650548
View attachment 2650549
View attachment 2650550
Could this be a bootloader issue or something with my filesystem because I can tell these roms are all avoiding like half of their installation. They should be extracting more files and take more than 20 seconds to install
Which bootloader do you have?
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
How do I see what kind of bootloader i have i search google and im still unsure.
And do you think i could try deleting everything in my filesystem and then odin stock flash and then try to flash rom?
In settings, about phone what is your baseband? Mine for example is FNB4.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Reinstalling stock for 4th time when i get it up ill give you that baseband version.
I was looking on Odin at this Nand erase all and i googled alot and looked around but i don't think its useful in my case so i wont check it
there was a thread saying that you could repair your phone if your data was set to a read only not write but i checked with adbshell mount and all my stuff is rw so im good there..
I haven't ever had a problem where rom doesn't fully install..
I was minding my own business on GPe rom from Kot94h and it was good but i decided hmm this has been my daily driver for queit some time ill switch to hyper drive and bamm i realize stuff isn't going right.
My Baseband Version is M919UVUAMDL
on Android 4.2.2
I feel like I've tried every trick in the book with no success
I'm wondering if it's the team win recovery. I'd try cwm.

I've tried CWM CWM-oudhs thing and ive tried team win.
for now im going to run stock and restore my stuff but hopefully i can get to the bottom of this
I can't think of where the source of the problem is.
I find it interesting how while an app installs i see it installing like system/app/blahblah.apk and that is like the first thing it starts to install
i think if i can remember a rom usually does system/framwork or something along those lines first
I have also MD5 checked all my files and they are all perfectly matching
Any Ideas?
I have this idea to try and erase every file on my device and then flash a room is that even possible
Could someone download root file explorer and go to their "/" and just snap a pic of the folders i want to compare your folders properties for example one of mine say rwxr-xr-x
Or i have another idea.
Is it possible to reformat my system partition with odin maybe with a PIT file??
Think, why would a rom skip installation of system files? It looks like it blazes through the installation after installing a few system apps
