Hi!
I'm buying a Note2 this week. Deciding between 3G and 4G model.
Eyeing off a 4G - but it shows N7105T. What is this variation?
I want to build a new custom roms myself and use community Roms.
Just saw: N7105T has no 800mhz 4G band.
But I have not been able to find an answer to Roms - Will all N7105 roms run on N7105T - Despite the missing 800mhz?
Never mind. Install whichever rom for N7105 - use appropriate modem firmware!

The main difference between the N7105 and T variant is the T is made specifically for the Telstra Network. And that is also prob why it doesnt support the 800mhz 4G band as they don't use it I don't think.
Cheers,
Evil.
Thanks mate.
Vodafone also sells the "T" variant.
Just so people who buy voda (AUS) LTE know.
Also, I bought a 3G!

Hey guys, should be picking up a note 2 in the next few days.
But it would be great to get some opinions regarding the N7100 or the N7105.
Will ROMS for the N7105 ever be as widely available as for the N7100, I was going to get the N7105 but noticed literally no roms like Paranoid Android or others on it. Will these come or will they mainly be N7100 based?
Also living in the UK we don't have wide LTE support and the network I am on will be 3. Will the DC-HSPA make much if any difference to the speeds I will get on that network?
Any opinions or answers are much appreciated

Hi, if you don't have much support for LTE, them more reasons to go for the N7100.
That version would have better support and more developers. Some do refuse to make for the N7105 model.

Will the 3G on the N7105 be much faster?
Also I heard the stock rom is better battery life than custom roms, is this true?
I just got this baby unlocked, FINALLY, and was wondering if I need to flash any modem/radio to get the best possible performance.Thank you all for your awesomeness!
I don't think there's any specific modem that would work best under those circumstances, particularly as modem performance seems to be location-dependent; if you're curious, you could just cycle through all of the available modems and see what works best for you in your area.
I believe you're in the wrong forum. This is the forum for the i747 Galaxy S III.
If you're on T-mobile, you'd have the T999, which is in a separate forum over here
The differences are the T999 doesn't have an LTE transceiver and the radio uses the AWS band rather than the PCS band for HSPA.

...which he unlocked, and now wants to use on the T-Mobile network. This does not mean he has a T-Mobile device.
I am with AT&T, does anyone know whats the different between the AT&T unlocked version compare to the international N7100 version?
Do we get LTE for this phone cause N7100 I think we only get 4g?
Any different in rooting or using any custom roms? I have seen from other phones, some roms will only work with international version but not with AT&T.
Can someone give me some feedback what I should get?

The N7100 is not LTE, the N7105 is (And 4G=LTE, don't pay attention to the AT&T lie). N7100 roms cannot be used with N7105 or AT&T phones, unless you want an expensive paperweight.
hello everyone
first off it's been a while since i have been on the xda forums so please move or delete the thread if it's not ok.
i did search for this topic in forums and google'd it also but couldn't find this specific situation.
first off i'm from europe, but have been studying in the US for about 2 years now.
i'm using t-mobile in the US as carrier and that's why i posted it in the t-mobile forum here.
my family wants to give me a galaxy s4 for my birthday but i don't know whether or not it would work with the 4g bands of t-mobile in the US.
i know they refarmed the frequencies and i do have 4g with my iphone5 (which i bought in the US).
according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-Mobile_US#4G_LTE_upgrade t-mobile is using the 850/1700/1900/2100 bands.
compared to this http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Term_Evolution#Deutschland which are bands 3 / 7 / 20
on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-UTRA#Frequency_bands_and_channel_bandwidths the Channel
Bandwidths (MHz) are the same, but the channels are different (3 <-> 4)
now my question:
does anyone know if i can use the german phone with the t-mobile plan same frequency or won't it work since the channels are different ?
thanks in advance

Hi Guys, I've got some questions I'm hoping I can have addressed. I purchased a Galaxy S3 LTE (SGH-T999L) from T-Mobile awhile ago & i'm happy with the device. I am aware that the original model, SGH-T999 didn't come with LTE, however my confusion lies in that I've heard that with the 4.1.2 update, the T999 now supports LTE, but I've heard people say it doesn't.
My concern is that I am interested in rooting & installing a custom rom on my S3 LTE. I've seen some roms state that they support my model #, but in one rom I watched a review/install video for it & in the video, that specific rom only listed the SGH-T999 model, the non-lte variant.
I'm pretty confident in the knowledge that if I flashed a T999 rom, it would work on my device, however I'm uncertain on if I would lose the LTE functionality.
Thank you guys for sharing your wisdom
I don't think so

I don't think you would as it's a hardwear difference between the T999 and the T999L. As long as you have the LTE APN it should work, although the ROM may not show you have an LTE connection. You will have the speed but the ROM will just register it as 4G or HSPA+. But I'm not completely sure. I would make a nandroid to go back to just in case, and then see if you can get LTE speeds on your rom.
All of your questions have already been addressed in the T999L thread. Link in sig.
