You are gonna have to turn off your phone, hold the vol down+the home button+the power button til the captive lights flash. This will get you into the stock recovery and you can factory wipe like kc said by going to wipe data then factory reset.

Lol thank you. Since devs are spending so much time trying to figure out the whole jb situation I feel like the least I can do is put time into helping people so they don't have to. Were just one big happy ecosystem lol
Edit: also I want to say sorry about the whole jb leak thing. It got kinda out of hand and I should've stopped. Again my apologies.

I learned a hard lesson, I let my 8 year old use my tablet...he then handed it back to me and all it does now when you try to boot it up is come to a black screen that says:
Boot Verified Failed...
Trying to go into CWM, I get:
Recovery Verified Failed.
Any ideas? i was on Flex's newest rom RC.3.1.

i think my phone is bricked!

i think i bricked my phone.. i installed vicious jelly.
rebooted.. and now it is stuck at the Google boot.. when i try and load the bootloader i get this:
http://i.imgur.com/eEf0H.jpg
nm.. working now.. wow.. that took forever.. even though my phone has booted completely before..
a) Wrong thread - This belongs in Q and A, not development.
b) "Brick" is when your device won't power on. Yours does. Yours even has a common image (described in bullet point "c"), so it's pretty functional. Brick means just what it says: It's a brick. It has no more functionality.
c) That is the fastboot screen. This is nothing unusual. How to restore your device, I am unsure (see the forums and use the "search" feature or wait for a reply), but your devices is going to be ok.
Sorry. If I knew how to flash a rom from the fastboot, I would tell you. Someone here probably does tho.
You phone is in download mode... also know as ODIN mode... look up the forums for ODIN flash instructions and restore your phone... it's definitely not bricked...

Are you able to get to recovery at all or does it go straight to that downloading screen?
If you can get to recovery just let it sit at the Google screen for a while. There are some issues with JB taking absurdly long to boot on the Nexus.
Edit: I should probably read fully next time >.< glad to hear it's working. Try JellyBelly 1.8 is working great. It's on RW.

Soft keys flashing then to CWM 5.8.2 cannot install rom

I'm fairly a noob when it comes to rooting and whatnot, however i've learned quite a bit since i've started. I rooted nexus s with no hassel. My friend the other day gave me a LG Nitro HD, the phone boots shows the LG logo then goes to the Clockworkmod touch 5.8.2. I have tried installing roms on it, it will install the rom and run then when i try to reboot, the soft keys will flash for 2 mins before showing the LG logo and going back to the Clockworkmod again. Keep in mind there is nothing on the SD card besides the signed_HO!NO!_p930 i have tried other os's too. I don't know exactly what he did to his phone. Please help me out. Thanks a bunch guys

I know I cannot get into download mode, Will be interested to see if Lugman can or not ... So unbricking is not an option at this point for me. Tried that yesterday also.
Lugman please post any progress sounds though we are in the same river of CWM... Why the HOX is so easy compared to this ....
Try charging it then do a battery pull then plug in the USB while holding the volume update. This should bring up a screen saying download mode. Then unbrick from there.

[Q] Think I bricked...

Bleh just got my Optimus yesterday, came stock with zv9. Decided to root today and had no trouble, flashed TWRP recovery using FreeGee then updated to the newest TWRP version using GooManager. Made a backup using TWRP then used GooManager to download Lifeless ROM. Just downloaded, didn't flash. After the download was done I shut off my Optimus but when I went to restart it, it powered on, showed the LG logo for half a second then just went to a black screen. Can't boot to recovery. Whenever I try and turn the phone off it just restarts again showing the logo for brief period of time then black. Any ideas? It's gotta be bricked but I just don't understand how or why. Probably going to try and take the battery out and see what happens.

You would need LGNPST. you can find it in the IRC if you can get to download mode you can flash back to stock and start over.

Just because the screen doesn't come on don't think the phone is off. Plug that sucker in. If you see the logo you should be able to get in download mode. Also, if the phone is on, you will eventually see some green android screen.
The same thing happened to my phone once. I only know of one way to hard brick this phone. I am not telling anyone how. But, I doubt you did that. It isn't something you would accidentally do.

It's on but it just shows a flat black screen. No matter how long it is on it doesn't get passed that. Also, when it's plugged in there aren't any charging lights. Not sure what to do since adb doesn't recognize it.

Another tip when putting the phone into download mode would be removing the battery before pressing the necessary keys.. Once the dl prompt appears battery maybe reinserted back

oh by the way, just to add, while phone is of, simultaneously press the power key and the middle part of the volume keys, with the battery removed. Then insert the usb cable. That should do the trick. Good luck!

You are in CWM boot loop. You don't have to take the lg flash tool.
There are some simple method to fix it.
try this method if your PC could recognize your phone.

If you could not get it to work, flash TWRP to your phone, then use the TWRP method in this post

Nice new sig, BTW
ok so im back from work and i gave the cmd method a whirl but no luck at all. I went ahead and continued with the TOT and it actually worked. I dont mind at all that i have lost root, im sure some one will figure that out. But what does this mean? Did i just brought back to life a bricked phone? if it is, it would be my first time. I have never bricked a phone in my life and this time it was not by my doing. Im just glad to be part of this community where one might not now it all but everyone working together and helping each other can get things done. Thank you all that helped me out! cheers!!!!
