GB27 Auto Call Recorder Mod
Now universal for both Odexed and Deodexed builds
____________________________________________
Features:
- Toggle ascending ringtone on/off (requires reboot)
- Toggle Record Button to display on/off (requires reboot)
- Toggle Incoming Recording on/off
- Toggle Outgoing (NOT WORKING)
- End Call Customized Delay
- Saved recordings named by Date/Time/Caller ID/whether the call was INcoming or OUTgoing
- Bluetooth Recording (does not work properly on all devices)
- Bluetooth Toggle (requires reboot if toggled)
- Fix for Call Delays
- Sprint Optimizer completely Disabled
- Added support for 3minit untility (from AIO Mod)
(Support is limited to incoming call widget color only.)
This mod is a work in progress. The 'automatic' outgoing is not functioning but that's fine with me. I can still record outgoing calls manually (see screenshot). For those of you that miss the Call Swap feature, you can disable the dialer call record button but this requires a reboot.
Included stock phone dialer should you wish to revert back to stock.
Recordings are saved to internal SD/sounds.
This mod was ported over from the I9100. Credits go out to mythtrandyr.
Enjoy - TD

Thanks for the mod. What BT are you wearing? I'm wearing my Plantronics Voyager HD. I tested out by making a call to voicemail, but when I start speaking, I can instantly hear my voice. I think that's why you are getting background hissing.

It's not too difficult.
Install Rom Toolbox Lite from the market.
Open Rom toolbox and scroll down and open Root Browser.
Navigate to 'Preload/symlink/system/app'
Find and longpress on SecPhone.apk, select copy.
Hit the home key on the top left.
Find and open 'sdcard' folder and paste.
Do the same thing for SecPhone.odex file.
Zip them both and send them to me.

I have no idea if it would work for what you want TD, but I saw Rujelus22 has an app in playstore that auto odex's apk's.
I'll try to find it and let you know if it works for anything I've got going:good:
Edit- Ok,it's the Kuban Odexer it odex's the entire rom (apps and framework), and it's a paid app (if that kind of thing matters) so unfortunately I don't think it's the solution to this particular issue.
However, I also found SystemCleanup that is supposed to odex single apps.

Universal GB08 Call Record
I need a couple of users that are odexed (rooted of course) to PM me so they can try this out on an odexed rom. I've already tried it on Kobridge's odexed build but need true stock build testing too.
Call Record Mod Rev2 is UP!
Just updated OP with universal Call Record Mod.
This should now work with both Odex and De-odexed GB08 builds.
Re: GB08 Automatic Call Recording Odexed/De-odexed
Hey TD so the difference between GB08 and FL16 call record is your latest has more features than old FL16 mod?

Same features and fix for saving recording as stated in the OP changelog.
But, GB08 dialer has internal changes to code so I wrote one for GB08. If you are running FL16 and don't have any issues, then no problem.
The Rev2 release today was to just add support for odexed rom version, no changes to code, just the installer.

Does SIP - voip - works in this rom?
excellent rom dude. working great so far. i'll report any bugs if i come across them but very nice work... i like the wallpaper and all the galaxy s2 goodies
ok first bug... i tried the Email.apk delete data but it is still giving me FC
EDIT: I did a Dalvik Cache wipe from recovery and now the email app works *shrugs* all's well that ends well I guess
How to make SIP works on this rom? Thanks in advance.
It seems that the Galaxy S2 theme is having problem with the last number in the time display of Glass, Puzzle, and Epic lock screen. That number looks very thin.
Here's what i've found so far:
video player doesn't work with avi files
there's no program monitor widget
Hi coldflid,
Why don't you put gingerbread keyboard in your ROM?

Quadrant 1393 (ext4)
Awesome ROM. Congrats!
Except the problem of the time display for Glass, Puzzle, and Epic lock screen everything is working perfectly. Thank you!
This build was edited by me (mainly for my personal use), based off of Zips Creamed Glacier's 3.11 release, but contains fixes I pulled from IceColdInsomnia 6.2.1.
I don't normally start dev threads, so bare with me (I'm no dev)
What's new:
- Practically everything that's included in Zips Creamed Glacier 3.11 - includes, FFC unlock, Working games (Draw Something does work!), mdj's kernel and so forth.
- I fixed the weather/geolocation issues found in 3.11
- I fixed the USB mount issue in 3.11 (you couldn't mount as a mass storage device while the phone was on [gave you two options that didn't work])
- I fixed the full signal bars issue (reported full bars at all times you'd have service)
- Also included the romcontrol.apk from IceColdInsomnia 6.2.1 and the settings.apk (for those who wanted ROM control settings but had to use the widget shortcuts to use them, you no longer have to as it's included in the settings)
- Replaced the systemui.apk with IceColdInsomnia 6.2.1's (you can haz 4g icons!)
- Replaced Trebuchet with Apex Launcher (This was part of my personal liking, Apex Launcher is the best ICS launcher IMO, try it out)
- May be forgetting something else...
All of the fixes mentioned above were fixed by pulling their respective files from IceColdInsomnia 6.2.1
* Don't ask any of the devs for wifi calling, as it's assumed to not work until T-Mo updates wifi calling for ICS (which should be whenever a T-Mo phone officially has ICS) or unless a dev performs some sort of magic ritual and get it working and stable

This is what I've got, thanks to one of our fellow users that found me on twitter and showed me this (I don't know what his user name is on XDA)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24210094&postcount=932
My thanks goes to:
- zipsnet - his 3.11 build was used as a base, that's why games work and etc. (ICS thread link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1555574)
- blackwing182 - for certain files from his build to fix usb and location issues and the AOKP files for ROM control (will post which ones they were specifically later) (ICS thread link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551456)
and those also to those mentioned in their thanks lists (tell me who I forgot to mention and I'll add you here)
Enjoy!

- Here's the flashable low mic fix by lincore: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24008900&postcount=531
- Don't use the DSPManager that comes with the ROM and complain about volume levels. I'm not sure if this info is correct, but after snooping around in other device forums, like always, a dev put in his OP that the DSPManager isn't really configured for ICS but instead for CM7. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I don't use the DSPManager anyways so

Basically all that you would find in zips' build, I think the only app I took out was trebuchet and the only app I added was apexlauncher. If not, I can fix them later.
For the low mic issues, I didn't put those in my zip, but I can post the link to the fix in my OP.
I love this version of Zip's rom. Very stable. Daily driver. Thank you.

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF)
I am on MK4 firmware minus KNOX. There are no KNOX files in this ROM. I have not tried to flash this directly over top of the MC2 version of Synergy. Not sure it will work. Look through the forums on how to get up to MK4, then flash this rom. Have fun, and I enjoy feedback (positive AND negative)
Modus Operandi
After tens of thousands of downloads and millions of thread views across multiple devices, Team Synergy has now expanded their operations to include the Sprint Galaxy Note 2

Thank you to all the wonderful people who have contributed to this community, they made this possible. These are mods and guides that may have gotten buried with new threads constantly coming in. These are only a reference point to make things easier to find. Thanks would be appreciated as this took me a while to compile. Also don't forget to thank the OPs of these threads for all their hard work to make this community better. CHEERS.

I will definitely be adding to it steadily, this was just what I found in my first swoop. I will also be steadily organizing it more efficiently, probably done for today tho.
Great job once again!
Another great Idea, and thread. Thankyou B

Mine... Ok I think I have just about everything Jelly Bean covered now. Besides ROMs, but I'm not gonna do that.
Don't worry @tdunham I think I got all your guides in there:sly:

It is now, I forgot TDAR Add-Ons and Ruj's AIO Script... if I have something in the wrong category let me know... I will eventually be organizing it a little more but I don't feel like it now, as I've spent pretty much all day doing this.
Awesome man another fine production

Maybe to help you clean it up down the road. The stuff grouped together can go under a HIDE tab . This way its not too over whelming and you can go right to the section you want.

I'm posting this thread to let others know a way they can get the in call recording feature working on the T-Mobile S4 (M919)
If others know alternative ways to get this feature fully functional on our S4, please feel free to post them here. The more options the better!
But please test prior to posting.
As a note, I'm just linking to the ROM, kernel and optional call recording app already available from their appropriate Developers, which enables call recording on our S4. Thank you to all for making this possible!
I wanted to have a central thread where others can come and get in call recording working, without having to search all over.
I've always used CallRecorder by skvalex on my previous devices.
But when I got the S4, CallRecorder didn't work with the stock ROM due to Samsung, and neither did any of the other call recording apps available. I know because I tried several (I'm talking about recording phone calls via the phone line, both sides, without having to record through the speakerphone,) so I asked around, did some research, and saw that wanam has a ROM with native built in call recording, which is important to so many S4 owners. Thank you to wanam! His work has enabled other call recording apps to also work which I've listed below,
There may be other ROMs with this capability, but this is the one I know of.
I will explain the set up I have, and post links to the appropriate threads including some notes.
If there are any specific questions regarding the ROM, kernel and app links, please ask those questions in their appropriate threads, as that will keep everything centralized in the Developer's threads. And please don't forget to Thank these Developers for all their hard work.
Any questions regarding my set up, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thank you to the following Developers
My set up:
WanamLite ROM by wanam:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283194
* the above ROM is for the I9505 , which can be installed on the M919.
You MUST use a Modem specific for the M919. DON'T flash any non specific ROM. When you install the ROM your existing Modem Will remain on your device.
You MUST use a Kernel specific for the M919.
This ROM has native in call recording capability built in. It works really well, and records through the phone line, both sides, clear as a bell.
Infamous S4 kernel by Jamison904:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2264932
* I flashed the above kernel, as it is working really nicely with our S4. There are other specific M919 kernels you can flash as well.
CallRecorder app by skvalex:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643
* I linked to CallRecorder by skvalex for those who have used it before on their other devices, and for those who would like another 'in call' recording option.
The recording settings I use with CallRecorder are:
Recording:
General >
Device - Other (Samsung GT-I9500 Galaxy S lV works also)
Method >
Recording method - Standard API
Standard API >
Call recording format - WAV
Other >
Audio source - Voice call uplink + downlink
The above information may work on other devices. But I have only tested the above on my device:
T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 M919
This might help you out I just posted it for you T-Mobile users

Thanks for your post.
Update:
I just looked at your link again and see that enabling call recording on the M919 has not been confirmed yet.
As you mentioned in your thread, flash at your own risk, but I just wanted to let others know this.
If call recording capability is confirmed, would flashing your linked zip on M919s with any deodexed (or odexed with a modification) roms enable CallRecorder by skvalex to work, which works on ROMs that have call recording capability enabled?
I have posed this question to skvalex so we'll see what he says.
Considering that your Verizon call recording zip has been confirmed working, I am also wondering if CallRecorder by skvalex would work on the Verizon S4?

This does work on Touchwiz based roms I have posted confirmation in his original post. I was having low audio on the MIC side but a restart fixed that.
---------- Post added at 11:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:24 PM ----------
This does work on Wicked V4,
Record button shows up on call screen.
Add Call can be accessed via the phones menu button.
Recordings are save in /sdcard/Sounds folder
Recorded Volume of other party is fantastic (actually a little loud)
Recorded Mic volume is low (almost cant here what you are saying to the other party)
Kodos to the OP for getting it to work.
God Bless
For clarification, recordered mic volume is working fine after you did a restart?
So the zip for the M919 enables call recording capability to work without issues?

YES, now it is fine, I don't know if it was just that particular call that was placed on the wicked V4, I restarted after I placed my first call on wicked, after the restart MIC volume was fine.
Yes the zip enables call recording without an issues (so far)
Any touchwiz based rom you install will most likely be deodexed and this should work fine on it. I would however relocate the record button to the phones menu list instead of it being on-screen. I wouldn't use recording much and would rather have the add call button on-screen.
Also if the recording button was placed in the menu list, you could use Call Recorder (which I can confirm also works in conjunction with his mod) and set it to automatic recording will maintaining the stock on-screen items.
Jrkruse already has several versions for the verizon model that have the record button via menu or on screen, he also has them for odexed roms, hopefully he will do the same for tmobile based roms.
God Bless
This sounds like really good news.. Thanks for the update, and good to hear that with the flashed zip by jrkruse on a deodexed rom, people will have the option to enable call recording, and to install CallRecorder if they would like, as you have confirmed that app to be working.

I agree, both the built-in (flashable SecPhone.apk) and CallRecorder by SkValex from the appstore work with each other but like I mentioned I personally think the Record button would be better if it was accessible via the phones menu button, but thats just my opinion.
I made sure i thanked the OP as this is great news, it basically means that we dont have to use a 9505 rom, which in turn means we get to keep wifi calling.
God Bless.
