Hows gaming on this rom? For some weird reason most 4.2 AOSP based roms lag on heavy 3D games like GTA Vice city, Need For Speed, etc.
Thanks for making an updated thread though and ya'lls work for the recent builds.

multi window?
would multi window be possible on an aokp rom? or is it restricted to the stock roms like wifi calling?
if i could have everything on a rom it would be in order of preference:
1. multiwindow
2. look and feel of aokp
3. the spen features ex. when you press the spen button and circle something, it crops the image as well as gives options where to send the cropped part.
4. wifi calliing
currently on the jedi rom since it has 3 out of 4 of the above but adding aokp would be great!

OK so there was a request in #attnote2 for some 4.2.1 AOKP. I build AOKP for the Sprint and Verizon GNotes but I'm encountering trouble with those booting for now so I thought I might as well do a build for you guys. Not posting this in Original Android Development yet because I wanted to see what cmenard is going to do. If he plans on maintaining AOKP for you guys im going to ask for this thread to be closed. If not, ill take it from there. Enjoy!
ROM: http://d-h.st/0UP
GAPPS: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip
INSTALL:
- Boot to recovery and make a backup
- Wipe data/cache/dalvik
- Flash ROM
- Flash GAPPS
- Reboot and enjoy AOKP goodness
If you want to return to a 4.1.x ROM after flashing AOKP, flash madmacks restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip AFTER flashing/nandroiding back to your 4.1.x rom. You can get this .zip from his CM10.1 threads.
BUGS:
- Any bugs in your CM10.1 build
- Might get a Setup Wizard FC on first boot. Just sign in later
Thanks to Turilo for testing for me in #attnote2

So there is no chance of porting the scripts to make the multiwindow into any ROM? I guess if this was the case, we would see MW in many other devices. This is a bumber. Anyone know if someone is working on getting a samsung MW hack to use in any non-touchwiz ROM? I really like the MW feature on this phablet.

I believe there are proprietary files needed to run Multi window. The chances of getting those files are very unlikely since Samsung wouldn't want competitors to have this feature.

Yeah, I just got that same thing when I opened the app for a second time. I just hit Ok & it went away, I mean, I'm not going to be on a rom that I already chose & then have an app suggest to me another rom, lol. That app probably made by pa team. Anyway, hit either one, ok or install pa. Your choice. I don't use that app at all anyway. I don't even use halo, nice feature but....

Hitting okay should get rid of it. Halo is originally a PA app.. I don't use Halo either, but I have tested that and it should be fine....

The rom it self works great but it's not for me so I removed it. Only thing that is S4 themed is launcher and clock widget. I would have keep it if it had the S4 Camera or even just the TW Camera. I hate the CM camera or any camera that's not TW as only TW has the option to pause recording on the camcorder.

Actually it looks like a January 3rd build of CM with gapps bundled.
You can't do that..

Your right you can't. I honestly was basing my reasoning off the title because I don't have it downloaded, but it its just cm with gapps, then this thread should be closed.

Dosen't seem it. It's quick but 4.4.2 on my phone was. It has cLock, all the lockscreen settings, theme chooser etc. I know it's CM "based" but OP you have to remove gapps. They can't be bundled.
It pretty much is just CM based with Google Play package and removed cm apps to give it a more vanilla feel. I had brought up the similar question to myself if I should have released an AOSP based.
No you don't need gapps

Bad? Meh, I guess. Illegal? Possibly.
Read: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/12833-whats-with-the-separate-gapps/
Google sent cyanogenmod a cease and desist letter regarding gapps. They can't be bundled with a ROM. It may also either be against XDA rules or just seriously frowned upon. I'd remove them :/ Good effort though. Keep doing it Just minus the gapps lol

Thanks for the heads up. Allthough I liked the idea, is it possible that I use the CM Device Branch and build an AOSP Rom? I've yet to see a Vanilla AOSP for the i747. I think thats what im gonna do with this.
Again, all apologies.

I could be mistaken but even with CM's device tree 100% pure aosp won't function correctly on most devices.
I believe the only phones that support straight aosp is the Google nexus devices. I could be full of it but I think I read something like that. Either way its worth a shot if you want to try. The worst that can happen is it doesn't build or doesn't boot.

A bit of a generalization, as I am a high school freshmen and rather would not be associated with a "rude and whiny" stereotype.

Ah. My apologies.
Big thanks to keepthechange for building beanstalk for hlte! Since there is no official thread yet I thought I'd make a simple one just to share his build. The rom is working very well & everything seems to be working that works in other Cm based roms. Here are some screenshots of this feature rich rom.

So far the rom is working great for me. I'm using Yank's kernel & I'm not seeing any problems. I don't know why you're having those problems man sorry to hear that.
Its all cool, might give it another shot later or wait for *** to update their ROM

Was my daily driver on my Note 2!
BTW does this ROM have the "long press back to kill app" feature? That's pretty much a necessity to be since cm introduced it a couple of years back in gingerbread
Slimrom also now available for our notes! Its on goo by will03.. loving it so far

Crud. This is my first time ever using a slim ROM and its damn near perfect. Here's to hoping theme choosers will be included in the next update because it'll be the only ROM I'll run

You can still change themes. Download the xposed & go to this thread & install theme manager. You will now have your cake & eat it too
