XTX9 rom,.
but before i use costum room, had same problem.
Same here
I have the same problem. I am hoping for an improvement with the update that is supposed to be released next month. It has been delayed several times now so we'll just have to wait and see.
Edit: I didn't see that you're not using the official ROM. It may well be a problem with the speaker itself. After all they sold us phones with orange stains...
Same problem here - volume set to the max and still not loud enough. XPS on newest stock rom.
You can give a try to my PsA, It may fix the low vol bug on it ^^
Same here - XPS on newest stock rom, max in-call volume is quite low. I am not using any voice enchancers or similar software...

Hey Guys -
I recently tried the Franco kernel with hopes for a speaker boost, but it turns out that just does headphones. I'm looking for another kernel and or ROM which is not bloated, doesn't kill the battery and will make the speaker/ringtone louder.
I'm by no means a power user, use maybe 3-4 apps total, so don't need all the bells and whistles. Just would prefer something close to stock, with good battery life, and has a good volume boost on the speaker/ringtone.
Thanks!
I personally recommend Trinity Kernel and any ROM that works for you. You also need to purchase the app in the Play store to modify the volumes. Its a small price ($3 USD) and goes to a very talented developer
Just use dsp manager to boost speaker volume, you can also purchase franco's app and boost volume from there

CM 10 nightly has a volume boost patch integrated. Its way louder than it needs to be.

You wount regret it its basic with only internal changes done to it with almost nothing changed visually from stock its only missing toggles then itd b perfect for me ive used it b4 with Franco and its a good combination
Speaker volume and ringtones are just not loud enough on any rom I've tried. I was hoping they would be louder with this one but they are still too low. I guess it's the hardware... Darn.

So I'm having volume issues on jmzonev Rom with jmz stock kernel. If I press volume up once, it goes super loud. Another up makes it go super low, then it alternates till full volume. It's kind of annoying and I don't know how to fix it any ideas? The volume (in terms of numbers) should go 2,4,6,8, etc but mine goes 0,12,2,10,2,10,2,10,16,20 (20 is max). Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure this is a CM bug -- I had the same problem on my LG Optimus V.
But I'm on stock lol and it only happened with headphones but if I unplug and plug em back in the volume works again lol

You said you're using the jmzonev ROM, not stock. Isn't that one based on AOSP/CM?

Is anybody else noticing a drop in in-call volume since the 4.1.2 update? I have DSP manager installed on my OG from before the update and still call volume is ridiculously low. Any suggestions? Maybe uninstall and reinstall DSP manager first?
I've noticed the same thing and I've found no way to make it louder.

I took DSP Manager off my phone and went back to the stock sound setup. I'll let you know if it worked to cure the call volume problem. May be something we have to report to LG.
I'm experiencing the same thing. More times than not I am unable to hear the caller on the other end well enough to hold a conversation.

So I took DSP manager off and no dice. I'm wondering if I might HAVE to root it and put on a new ROM and maybe put Awesome Beats on the phone in order to get the results I want.
I think this is something that can be modified with the kernel. I remember on the galaxy nexus there were a few Franco nightlies he was testing that had in call volume issues. Some were too low some were crackely. If he was able to modify something within his kernel to effect call volume then I'm sure it can be tweaked to a higher volume.

I have flashed Mardon's MA6 kernel on my Gio with Maclaw's CM10.1 ROM and I am getting static noise for every single sound that comes out of my Gio's speaker. It is not happening when earphones are plugged in. What's happening and how to get rid of the problem? Thanks in advance.

Ditto on mine, not sure what causes it.
Found the problem, it's the Pure series sound enhancer.. Didn't follow properly the steps.

You can try using a different modded rom, which includes clear phase and things like that, it can solve your problem
