Click the triangle in the OP and ask the moderator to move the thread.
How to find out which model it is:
1. When did you buy the phone? (Quite obvious)
2. CM ROMs don't boot up, stuck at White HTC logo inspite of full and correct wipe.

One more question
I have root, TWRP 2.3.1.1. recovery and latest Titanium-Kiss kernel.
Is it mandatory that I flash kernel again?
Also - is mandatory to delete kernel that is in ROM zip file, or can I just leave it there and it will do no harm?
Sorry, it will be my first custom ROM...
I'll try that one first, as is says "stable" - hope to learn a lot and then, when I'll know how to do it and reverse it, to go to CM10... - what do you think? Which one? Not which ROM is the best, I read that it's prohibited to question that, but just your idea as "guru", what do you think?
Thank you very much in advance and best regards, Mat

See as long as u stay in aosp it's not necessary to flash the kernel again
Pa,aokp,cm10 are based on aosp
But if u switch to sense u have to
Ur twrp Is correct
Although using a unpublished version is not safe
And. Leave the kernel in the zip ...don't mea with it...it's personal opinion ....all roms are same but customization differs ...if u flashing first time try cm10

One more for the road...
First, I'd like to thank you for your reply :good:
Just one more question:
- as I'm going from stock ROM to custom, I thought to make "clean" install - wipe everything, including SD card and start from beginning, installing first new ROM, then gapps, then all my apps, do all settings and so on...
- is that a good idea? :fingers-crossed:
I'd rather do that, because I don't know if I do restore how all backed up apps will behave on new ROM...
Thank you very much in advance and best regards, Mat
Nahh....formatting the sd card ain't necessary ....but doing a full wipe for the phone is a must

Try this, follow my steps
1. Boot up into recovery mode
2. Wipe data, cache, dalvik-cache
3. Install ROM + GApps
4. Install the beginners patch in the local UltraBeam GB patch thread download all 3 or 2
You can easily get the update for V 1.0.7 from OTA
5. reboot system, now see the results?
Also try mini turbo boost, it increases UltraBeam GB way more faster :good:

Hi Alex,
we (users of TWRP) are waiting for a kernel developer to create custom kernel based on 3.1.10 (working touch in recovery) and usb/adb support. It will be great if you extend your kernel with usb/adb support in recovery. Could you test your development kernel with latest TWRP ramdisk?
Thanks in advance

Hi Alex,
this is the old 2.6 endeavoru kernel used by TWRP. What I know is that this is the original HTC kernel with hacked/enabled usb and adb support in recovery. This kernel is used in the official One X TWRP, but after the firmware update (tp.img) the touch is not working. Repacking the TWRP with the official HTC kernel from 4.18.402.2 recovery brings the touch back, but in a price of missing usb and adb support.
I think that this is the source of the 2.6 kernel (with hacked usb and adb in recovery) used in official TWRP. Maybe you could get some ideas from the commit history.
Hope this helps

If you have some spare time, could you build a TWRP version with usb fixed? I´ve tried to repack but no luck (not sure if I´m doing something wrong)
Hi Alex,
You are talking about fixing usb only. Does your kernel support adb in recovery mode? For me (or people which are modding existing ROM) adb in recovery is the more important feature than usb.

I think MIUI v.4 is for HTC One XL, where did you get that rom?
And if it's for the one x you have touch problems because of the updated touch drivers (hboot) if version 4 is a bit older and it's kernel is based on lower android kernel source it's a no go. See if you can find a newer miui
thanks guys for reply. I got the MIUI v4 from its own website. I have downloaded V5 ase well.. do you think i should try that and i might not get the same problem.

If you know chinese you should study the "Flash Guide" at the download link web page, and try it.
I had this problem before.
You have to flash XM kernel for it to work.
Try v5 version.

If it is possible with evervolv kernel to make a ROM for CDMA, then I will do.
Take it easy, I don't want your money. I need you to contribute knowledge on this because I don't have time to read all cdma related rom threads for htc desire. If you stumble across the relevant information just share it with me.

Does this problem also occurs on the stock ROM?
Are you the first owner of the A8181?
As well it might be a hardware problem (for example, damage), or overheating caused by the motherboard.

Problem with Liquidsmooth v3.2 on HTC Desire Bravo
Hi
My faithful Samsung S3 died 6 weeks before the end of my contract and I'm trying to resurrect my old HTC Desire to keep me going. When I booted it, it was still running Cmd 7 and of course, hardly and of my usual apps would work on it.
I did a bit of reading today and then followed the instructions for installing Liquidsmooth v3.2 which was all good and made me much happier. Only problem is, I've installed only 8 apps and have run out of internal memory despite having activated app2sd. I know that it's working, as the Ext2 partition is about half full but the internal memory is down to only 4mb of space and barely functioning.
I've obviously done something stupid! Can someone help?
Thanks
