Is there a Gallery App to view all pictures including those in the cloud? - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

I have searched til I was blue in the face.
Long and short of it is that I would like 1 app to view photo's/ pics from my device, drop box, box and facebook, without having to actually put them on my phone/tablet.
The nearest one I found was woven but it didn't sync all the photos in my drop box account.
So does anyone know of such an app?
Cheers for any help

If Quickpic doesn't work try a file explorer like Solid Explorer or even Sandisks own file explorer.

Yeah I have the same problem, it's the one feature I miss from sense.. Tried searching for an app as well but found nothing

Thanks for the recommendations but......
Quick pic doesn't work, solid explorer is a but sluggish and only shows drop box, sandisk is the closest to what I want but the previews are too small and you can't see what is in the picture. :crying:
Any other recommendations?

I added my dropbox account, but none of my pictures from other folders come up?
Only the ones in camera upload come up, is there a way to view photos from other folders as well?
I think its because my Pictures folder is deleted or not visible so I cant put pictures into that folder. Anyone know how to recover it?
SOLVED: I JUST ADDED ALL THE PICTURE FOLDERS INTO THE CAMERA UPLOADS FOLDER AND EVERYTHING WORKS!

Yes was gonna say they need to either be in the camera upload or photo folder for your pictures to be detected.

Is there an app like this for Box?
If there is it would be really helpful as I have a lot of storage available in Box.

Thank you for the suggestion. We will consider adding Box.
If you have any other suggestion please tell us so we can improve Pictarine.

The stock gallery app displays Picasa albums if you are willing to make the switch. Picasa has a desktop program that syncs images, although the interface leaves something to be desired.

looking for a Facebook app that will allow me to upload VIDS !

ive looked and looked with no luck
anyone have any hidden jems they like to share
Anyone I tried qik but had no luck unless I used the wrong one
from the fade

I've never tried uploading a video with my EVO, but I've done it using my old Touch Pro, I just uploaded the video like it was a photo, the application didn't say it was for a video, just uploaded it as if I was doing a photo.
Pixel pipe or bff photo
Qik works for me. Only problem is you cannot attach a comment with it. It always titles the post something like check out this video. Other than that works fine. You have to upload the video first, then click the Facebook button to share it to Facebook.

Either Google Plus or manually choosing images. It's simply the facebook sync that gives the low quality pictures.

No it isn't. Any contact saved on Google's backup servers gets the photo compressed all to heck. I've heard Google Plus is a workaround. I've not heard any other viable workarounds so far.
For the first time i would sugest to resize/crop pictures to 512x512 pix and then manualy add them to contacts.
Before flashing new ROM you can create a backup on SD card from Contacts app. After restoring they're still in good quality.
Low quality pics are one of two reasons why i don't use Google backup.

[Q] Stock gallery app offline cache folder

Hi all, How are you?
I have a Galaxy Nexus with Android 4..2.2(JDQ39) unrooted.
I delete a picasa web album by mistake, but It was downloaded on the stock Gallery app (version 1.1.40001).
So I am trying to figure out where the stock Gallery app restore photos checked to be offline in order to restore my photos.
Please, Does someone know where stock Gallery app store the off line albums?
(I have already checked sdcard/Android/data/com.android.gallery3d/cache and /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.plus/cache folders and both are empty)
Thanks in advance,
Roger
How did you delete the web album? I just tried and it didnt give me the option to delete. And I havent seen an option for offline viewing.
By the way, there is no need to post the same question in two different forums.

I have deleted the album using Picasa Web interface ( I am using the old interface as I deleted my google plus profile to prevent integration with google plus).

On the stock gallery app, there is an option on the top right menu(three dots on top right) to "make available offline".
So the deleted album is stored somewhere in my phone because I made it available offline (I can still the the photos on my phone, although It was deleted from Picasa Web), but I don`t know where it is stored...

Thanks a lot,

That must be a stock thing. I'm using a custom ROM, which the stock gallery app is integrated with Picasa, and I dont have that option. Google is making it almost necessary to have a Google+ account. Even when you create a YouTube account, it automatically creates a Google+ account. I'm not a big fan of HAVING to have one, but its there and I dont use it other than to sync my photos between devices. To answer your question though, I have no idea where the offline folder is. Sorry.
And yes, the Q&A section is the right place for Questions and Answers.

No problem, I have searched about this issue on google, and I read somewhere that offline picasa photos should be stored on one of the following folders: sdcard/Android/data/com.android.gallery3d/cache or /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.plus/cache
However, both folders are empty on my device =/
Please, Does someone know where stock gallery app store its offline photos?
Thanks

No option to edit photos. What am I missing?

Of course the phone is rooted and I deleted a bunch of nonsense, but I don't have an option to edit photos in the stock gallery app.
I had pixlr express installed and when I touch the edit icon, it launches that app. If an editing app is not installed, I don't get any edit icon.
Anybody know what I'm missing? Perhaps what it was that was deleted, maybe; the apk responsible for editing photos?
Please and thank you.

My friend you have deleted Google+(Or Photos app) that provided you the default editing feature. Reinstall/enable/defrost it and you will again have the stock pic editor back!

Really? Google+? I kept the stock gallery and camera. But google+ is responsible for stock photo editing? Man, Android is weird these days, I'll tell ya. Interesting, I'll look through the folder of deleted apk's and hopefully something looks like what I need. If that's the case however, I'll live without g+ or that silly picasa (or whatever) application.
Thanks!

It's definitely Google+ that gives you the editing option from within the stock gallery. I simply downloaded it from the Play Store and the editing options returned. I them hid G+ from my app drawer since I don't actually use the app.

See, I have the same issue, but google photos takes over the stock editor which was way better than google photos... Then when u uninstall google photos, it takes away the stock lg editor. I cant agree with the above answers, because i use and sell this phone to hundreds of people, several have had the same issue. I dont want google photos editor, just the awesome lg one...

Yes. I found your thread because I'm looking to find a way to turn this off. It makes it tedious to view the photos from a third-party app or to copy the photos to your desktop.

Why don't you use a Gallery like Google Photos or QuickPic ?
So you can select the pictures that you want and then click on share.

Quick Pic shows me the folders. And, this doesn't help at all when transferring to the desktop. Also, when you delete a photo, the empty folder remains. It was not at all well thought out or tested with regular people.

This is part of Google messages. When you select to add a photo and click the icon to go into your folders to look. You can't use photos on Google messages to select what you want
I created a post on the Pixel Forum about this exact issue. I am also using Quickpic to move the portrait folders into the default camera gallery.
Camera: Portrait Mode creates individual folders for every Portrait Mode photo taken
Yes I hate this, what a stupid way to organize portrait mode pics.
They need to fix this, its a deal breaker for me... not worth having it this way just creates a big mess

This bugged me so I tried numerous gallery apps. Only Google photos handles portrait shots properly.

It's not a problem with Google Messages, it's a problem with how you're using the software.
When you're getting to the Document Chooser, you're selecting "Images" which brings up a folder view. Instead of doing that, press "Photos" from further down on the left and you'll see a proper gallery view.
While it's annoying to use in QuickPic, if anything the new organization structure forced me to realize that the way I was accessing images in the software was actually inefficient all along and I just never realized it, and I've started using Photos for all of my snapped photos and QuickPic for all the rest (with the Camera folder hidden).
Anybody got solution ?
I just use Tasker shell commands to move files around to where I want them to be.
In this case, I have it set to move the two images into a folder of my choosing, and then delete the now empty folders. Gotta love Tasker lol
Good idea!
