i got 2 problems regarding my bluetooth phone connection with my car.
1 - some times, after i leave my car, the phone doesnt come back, it turns half dead. The screen is black, but the leds seems to be alive and i cant do anything. I need to shut it down removing the battery. I read in the forum the problem might be from battery issues, but it isnt, i bought 2 new batteries and the problem still goes on. cant figure it out .....
2 - to connect my s620 to my car, i need to enable "Enable Bluetooth Explorer" and "Sim Access" in Bluetooth Settings.
the problem is, when the phones turns off, those settings goes back to 0, i need to enable them again to connect the phone to my car.
can someone tell, where i can change the registry to put those 2 settings to 1.
regards
I'm having fun playing with all the features with the phone but i'm stumped on something.
Say for example i've got my DHD in my brodit active car charger and i'm driving along listening to music being streamed via bluetooth to my head unit and say i'm using the stock media player or doubletwist as the media player.
After a bit the screen will turn off as i've got it to set to turn off after 30 secs.
Now obviously having it turn off after 30 secs is fine if i'm NOT using it in the car and attached to the charger but when in the car it's a pain if I want to switch tracks etc. as i've got to hit the top button and then swipe to unlock again
So is there a way to be selective on the screen turning off , so if it is on charge and a media player is running then the screen can be set to NOT turn off.
So basically IF on charge AND media player running - turn off screen = NO
on the flip side of that say I was charging the phone from my PC then of course I wouldn't be bothered if the screen was off.
Hi,
You can force your DHD to keep the screen on by selecting the "Stay Awake" check box. Whilst connected to a charger the screen will stay on.
Settings > Applications > Development > Stay Awake
The screen will dim after a set time, not sure where that setting is yet, but it will not switch off & lock.
Hope that solves your problem.
I have a similar requirement when using a GPS app which in my case has no "screen on" option. This works great for me: http://www.appbrain.com/app/screen-mode-widget-lite/com.ooha.screenmodelite
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a fix that when you have wifi turned on and are listening for example to a stream it will stop as soon as the display turns off.
With the Transformer Pad this is not the case for example.
May be there is a fix?

I know if you go into wifi settings and hit the menu key you can get an adavced mode and adjust the wifi policy there. A lot of roms I have seen on various phones have it set to turn wifi off when the screen goes off. I set mine to never turn wifi off and no more problems.
Sent from my G2 running the random rom of the day.
I have a Verizon GN. I have an issue with wifi taking a really long time to wake up after the screen has been off. Turning wifi off and on will usually work quickly, but if I don't do this, I can't access the internet sometimes for over a minute even though the wireless is supposedly on and connected (blue). This happens only on my wireless network at home (not at work). My wireless setting on the phone is set to keep wifi on during sleep and wifi optimization is checked. I've unchecked wifi optimization and it didn't really help. Is there something I need to do to my router?
My Bluetooth randomly will shut off. I notice that it isn't connecting to my Fitbit and my car and when I check it is off and I have to manually turn it back on. Is there a setting somewhere that is doing this? I don't have any battery saver apps or services running.

Setup android auto, theres a setting in there to enable bluetooth auto, if you dont set it, sometimes bluetooth turns off
