[Q] Bluetooth fix for CM10/10.1 - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Tried searching around and couldn't find anything. CM 10 and 10.1 has severely crippled Bluetooth stack. Audio sounds like a tin can, if it works, and there's a ton of clicks and pops during calls.Has anybody managed a way to fix it yet? Maybe a custom kernel or kernel module? Thanks in advance!

[Q]Headset Controls not working...?

So I'm currently using CyanogenMod 6.1 which I had upgraded to today. I also decided to use the headphones that come standard with the 3G slide. However when trying to use the buttons with the headset... they stop working. I've used stock music app, Winamp for Andriod and Currently DoubleTwist for Andriod and none of them work.
I'm wonder what do I have to do to get this working. Thanks in advance.

I've never gotten the headset buttons to work with the factory headphones unless I was using a stock ROM. Any other ROM they would either not work at all, or intermittently.
So then basically you're telling me that I'm SOL? There is no fix or work around?

Well, not entirely, I am just saying what I've experienced. I've made a thread on the same issue a while back and never found a fix, but who knows, there may be some sort of headphone file that has button mappings or something, but I've never found any. Some people do not seem to have a problem with a lot of bluetooth headphones, so that may be a work around, but I am only guessing.
My headphone is the same problem, cannot control after i root up cook rom. But the bluetooth headset is ok. Anyone have sollution to fix this bug, please....
Same here :-(, with g2, no headset buttons response :-(. But thank goodness read this post, I thought my headset had come of age...
But does that mean, something else I buy from the market would work?

Fix for audio delay through bluetooth?

I wonder if there is any fix to the A2DP bluetooth problem where the sound comes from the speakers with a little delay. It gets annoying when using the Nav and you have to listen to the instructions.
I tried the same with my Galaxy Tab and it does not suffer this inconvenience, so it is related to this device.
Any one have a clue?
Hey bro, I have this problem too!
It worked just fine with my previous phone.
Did you end up finding a fix?
Thanks!
I'm also wondering, if there's a fix for that problem. In my car, I often miss the first words of a call, that's somehow annoying...
A lot depends on the kernel that you and yes there firmware on your phone.

Hi, would you know where we would likely find any trustworthy patched kernels?
The ones I've tried from this site are just garbage...there's always something that doesn't work. I'm willing to pay a decent amount of money...
Thanks

Bluetooth problem!! Can anyone help?

Hi guys,
Because of this problem I get almost sorry that I had taken a Galaxy Nexus.
I can pair Nexus with my carkit (parrot) and I can play audio through the speakers.
My problem is: When I call or receive a call I can hear almost nothing. Sound is so low that I can not even notice that the sound from the speakers or coming from the phone. I am using Volume+ too but nothing helps!!
It's look like that Nexus somehow even loses the connection, without any reason.
It's a rooted Nexus and running on AOKP.
Is there a better ROM for my bluetooth issue or do you guys have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance..
No one??
Has nobody has an idea or experince with this??
The market description for Volume+ says:
A Cyanogen Mod 7 or MIUI ROM is HIGHLY recommended. Running this app on a Stock ROM/Kernel may result in it not working, being far too quiet, or getting even quieter. PLEASE don't comment or rate badly if you are on a Stock ROM as this is most likely the problem.

The feature list for AOKP says it uses the "Unsecure boot.img (stock AOSP kernel)."
You might want to try uninstalling the application to see if that fixes your sound issues over bluetooth.
I am using a stock (unrooted) GSM Galaxy Nexus. It pairs just fine with my Jawbone Era bluetooth headset and do not have an issue when making/receiving calls with volume. Where I notice the volume is quite low is the voice dialer prompt only (the actually call is fine). Apart from that, no issues.
miui..
Hi guys,
Thanks for your replies.
I flashed the rom of miui and it's seems to work till now. So this rom dealing better with bluetooth.

Any JB Roms have working BT Handsfree?

Hello all,
Like the title says, do any of the current JB 4.1 ROMS have working bluetooth for phone calls?
I'm currently on SlimBean, and bluetooth will pair with my car, but there is no audio. I can't hear the caller, and they can't hear me. There is some magic happening, because my car will tell me when the call connects and when I hang up.
It did work with LiteRom, so I know BT works in the car, but I am loving the battery life/features of the JB roms. Anybody have suggestions? I suppose I could install every current JB ROM and test, but would like to ask the community before going through that hassle.
Thanks,
I'm on dman's cm10 and my bt headphones work well for calls/music and the music controls (play/pause/skip) all work as well.

Appreciate the feedback, unfortunately CM10 didn't work for me either. I ended up loading CM10, CAMP, PAC and SlimBean, none of them had audio on my cars bluetooth. Like I said, it's very close to working. The display in my car will show the number I am dialing or the incoming number, it connects, just no audio at all. I went back to LiteROM and it works as normal. It's a bit of a bummer too, I was really please with AOSP/CM based ROMs, and the battery life was fantastic. Guess I'll have to wait for a few more bugs to get worked out.
By the way, the vehicle is a 2012 Chevrolet, so I would hope that its JB compatible.
Thanks.
Slim had bluetooth working for me, but it took a couple times to pair to my car. You try a full wipe before flashing?

That I did. Old habit of mine, I don't dirty flash anything unless it's an update of the same ROM. Googling the issue seems to show mixed results for JB ROMs based on what kind of device you're pairing with. I have a feeling it's just an issue with BT not being 100%. I can wait patiently while the devs do their magic, just have to stick with ICS until then (have to have the handsfree for driving).
Thumbs up to the devs in this section by the way. My personal phone is an HTC One X. When running CM10 on the Glide, it's easily as fast as my one X.

Android 4.3 and Bluetooth Headset

Hi,
I have this problem on 4.3 ROMs from TouchWiz to AOSP. My bluetooth headset cannot be recognized but on 4.1.2 ROMs it connects instantly.
Any thoughts on this?
Thank you.

My bluetooth headset is no longer compatible. I bought it 3 weeks prior to updating to 4.3. Now utterly useless!. Is it possible to use files from older stock ROMs?
Fix for bluetooth issue.
Try this fix for bluetooth issue in 4.3

Figured it out. I have a Nokia Bluetooth headset for working out and the thing about it is, you have to hold the power button until you see a rapid blinking light to enable to search for the earphones.
