USB audio out - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I'm currently running AOKP 4.2.2, and it's come to my attention that it doesn't support USB audio out.
Is anyone familiar with a ROM that supports USB audio out, or a way to get it working on my existing ROM?
Thanks!

HDMI Output for Video...

I see the screen home page and etc, but no sound. Also it doesn't work when I play a video, both the phone and tv freezes the video. What can I do? I have the samsung brand adapter.
Issue could be that the video you want to play is unsupported by the phone. Does the video play with no issues when the adapter isn't in use?

I've had no issues with HDMI through the MHL adapter (official T-Mobile accessory). Make sure the video works on the phone first. Or try other videos or music.
T mobile keeps telling me they don't have it : /

Check the speaker output on your TV.
I couldn't hear any sound either till I change the speaker settings on my Samsung TV to use the internal TV speakers rather than the external speakers I had being using.
Also make sure your bluetooth headset isn't connected as that may prevent the audio coming through the tv
The video works fine on the phone. It just freezes thats the only problem i have.

What adapter did you buy? I am buying one and want to make sure that I avoid the one you are using until then.
are you using a MHL adapter-> HDMI, or just Micro USB->HDMI cable?
I use the Samsung mhl and everything seems to work great! check for faulty hdmi cable
Ok well do. I am using the Mhl but I'll try on this Rom. The other Rom i used had problems it was a deodexed one.

Support hdmi no sound

I'm running mikg with aggresive freedom at first I had sound only then once i installed the hdmiwin app I get could full screen video but now the sound is coming from the phone speaker . How can I get the sound to come back through the tv?

If your using Lithid's Freedom kernel, it has HDMI built into the kernel. You wouldn't need the app to link up. Just remove the app and plug your phone into your TV. The app might be borking the feature baked into the kernel.
Without the app i wasn't getting full screen. I might try more freedom instead.

Using HDMwIn under advance settings make sure "Route Audio to HDMI" is checked. That is how I get sound out from the TV set.

Thanks ill check that now.

Sound output on CM7 & MIUI beta roms

has anyone else noticed that the sound being output thru the audio jack on cm7 and miui is not as loud or clear as when using a touchwiz Rom? I have and I'm wondering if there is anyway of fixing or improving audio output. I don't want to carry around a ipod anymore lol any and all help appreciated

I think the volume increments are pretty broken. I've been using CM7 and I use my phone in the gym. It's been pretty irritating

I wonder if the audio can be modified to be better I heard of some mod it was like voodoo something I wonder if that can be ported to out phone

USB audio

I am looking for a way to connect my Telus sgs3 to my car stereo via USB and play music from my phone via USB in my car. I am running slimbean rc1 4.2.1. I have tried connecting the device with my stock charging cable without much success as the device does not get recognized. I have tried an otg cable without success. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Went from AOKP to Cyanogen and now my Bluetooth sucks

I have the T-Mobile GS3 and with AOKP I could get the currently playing song from several different apps to display on my car stereo.
Since switching to Cyanogen I'm unable to get that type of information, my stereo used to be able to toggle Pandora on and off as well but that doesn't seem to work either.
Any ideas?

What do you recommend?
I can't. I don't use CM. I'm sure there's lots of posts in the Rom thread where people talk about their preferred kernel.
Just search the thread for kernel.
