Kind of a stupid question, but considering that we can flash skyrocket roms on this phone, would it be possible to flash the skyrocket cm7 nightlies?

Wait, so are there less bugs on those than our version of cm7 or is it basically the same thing?

From the looks of it....it is for the first GS2 AT&T released not the skyrocket (the one with the different SoC)

NO!! Do not flash this, this is for the original galaxy s 2, not the skyrocket! You will brick your phone!

Yea after I saw that other post I stopped myself from flashing lol. That could have been bad
I personally apologize...this was one of those "telephone game" things. The link to the cyanogenmod forum was to the non-Skyrocket phone, and as far as I can tell there have NEVER been nightlies for the Skyrocket. This is the closest thing I've found:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364223
Made originally by slayher, the same guy that made the one for our phone, so it's probably pretty much the same thing. The link I just added here might have a ROM that has been slightly updated, but I seriously doubt there will be a significant enough difference to justify using it.
We are all stuck waiting for any actual developed ROMs to appear. No leaks, no fun things to do, just sit around and wait for the CM team to put something out there...eventually.
i know it was said in this thread but please
do not flash att&t cm7 nightly builds.
It is not the skyrocket. there are two att&t galaxysII variants
you should prob change the thread title and ask for a delete or move to trash because at least one person will try it !
please make a new topic this one is dangerous for newbs

There aren't any nightlies yet.

There are builds released every 3-6 days. I can't share the links because you have to go on IRC. I can tell you though that today's build added a sweet weather display on the lock screen. And now you can let the slide ICS lock screen come up before entering your pattern or code. Just hit up IRC and ask someone. No biggie

Our phone is not official you will not find it there at all. You can hang out in IRC if you want. There are no nightlies but the most recent builds were 5/27 and 5/28. I used to pick them up off other people but I decided to jump in and be there.
No nightlies yet but still hoping that we will get them when the rom progresses more and we get a proper kernel and recovery.

Maybe because we read what team chopsticks says. They have become part of the official cyanogenmod team, and means when enough bugs get worked out, it will be the official cm9.

Not ready to go to the Chopsticks Alpha, but not completely satisfied with TDJ's rom (no offense meant). I loved CM7 on my Optimus V and would be extremely happy to get full support for our T989!
You guys should check the CM9 thread in the dev section and find one of the unofficial builds from the last few days. They have the audio issues fixed and are solid daily drivers.

Definitely might do that. Was hoping to get the streamlined kernel going in darkside but had no luck, so cm9 will probably be my next rom. Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure if many people were aware or not but Codename put out a ROM for our Sprint version. It's up on GOO and also if you just google Codename Android, his site will come up. Not sure why he didn't open a thread on here.
I ran his Roms on the Nexus and it was awesome, lots of customizations. It's more like AOKP as far as options as opposed to CM.
Edit: DO NOT FLASH YET, ISSUES BEING WORKED OUT.

ROM Manager works, although I've only used the free version so I can't really say much about update notifications. A while ago I switched to TWRP and Goomanager and they've been working great for me.
I would like to build any time they add changes, even if it is nightly. Ive already repo synced aokp and cm10³. Ive compiled aokp and am now compiling cmcm10

Anytime you do a repo sync you're getting the latest merged to github. Google aokp gerrit or click the link a few posts back and click merged at the top left everything in the merged section is what is synced when you run repo sync it gives all changes and times.
