Every time I reboot the phone lately I've seen android is upgrading. I've calmed down on flashing different roms as much n running ViperInc 1.3.1. I've also seen a new app icon in my drawer saying Google settings anyone else have this happening?
Sent from my forgotten by HTC Droid Incredible 2. Kept alivw by great minds at XDA that haven't forget this phone.
Don't worry about it, it's new for every rom and android device
Just got pushed by Google today without Google play notification

Facebook is usually the problem you can go into your main menu from the home screen find accounts and sync and turn on Manual sync that will stop it just remember to go in and sync your stuff every now and then... it will save on battery to

I'd been having that too, and when it was randomly syncing the phone was almost completely non responsive, three of the times I had to reboot when it did. When I updated to the 3/15 nightly I didn't activate the HTC account, hasn't happened since, that may be the culprit, or something else changed in the ROM or cleared in the wipe. If it is facebook, you should be able to change the sync interval settings from the program.

Also, check under your google account. i had this issue and found out it was actually 'picasa' web albums that was trying to sync.
Ah i seem to have gotten it. Twitter was the culprit. Haha. Is anyone running warm z 2.2? I csnt find the perfect kernel to run with it to optimize battery without sacrificing performance. Any sugestions?

Has anyone else noticed that Google maps is constantly open in the task switcher. I close it. And even force close it. And its back open in a minute or so??
I have turned off all location services and still get it .

what rom are you running. I've only noticed this with tranquil ice and gummy. However, in checking battery usage, maps doesn't show up
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
ive noticed it in bixie rom and now I am using AOKP. and its the same if i go into app management and kill it 2-3 times when its there it seems to solve the problem. but as you say its not in battery stats
Related to one of the options when you initially set up the phone? Sending location based data to Google for one reason or another perhaps?
I noticed it a couple of times but doesn't seem to be happening these days... Running latest Bigxie build aka Apex 1.0.0...
I'm running on 4.01 stock and sometimes it's open and sometimes its not! Pretty annoying if you ask me...

It's not doing it for me on aokp

Sometimes having weird stuff happening after i end a call: goes to some random contact in edit mode / dropbox app opens / etc
Tested carefully and it's not due to accidental touches around the "end call" button, it even did it once or twice without me ending the call...call ended by the other side, calling screen got closed and some contact popped out.
happens rarely, but wtf?
Are u on custom rom???

I'm unrooted and I get the same things. It's like I pushed something bit I heaven't. I hope that HTC will address this issue in their next update
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
The thing that pops up... is it the last thing you used or used recently?
Like cronus101 asked, if the apps that show after ending the call are the most recently used apps, then I'm guessing HTC Sense (the launcher) is crashing each time and since there's no home screen to go to, it displays the last used app. Pressing back will also cycle through the recently used. This is my guess. Try clearing data of HTC Sense in Settings-Manage apps. The best way to get rid of this is to do a factory reset and start afresh. There could be many reasons why Sense is crashing. This behaviour is typical of any launcher when it FCs. If you don't want to factory reset, you can try using a different launcher (Apex, Nova) and see if this still happens.

latest stock rom, unrooted, relocked
it's not the last used app that comes up...it's like random or something between 2 or 3, i even got dropbox once
Lol today it ended up in medialink setup screen....none of the apps that pop up are in the recent list btw....

Hm, out of ideas. Factory reset should fix it once and for all.

Anyone else having issues with the Facebook app on their Ion? About a week ago mine started not loading right. Sometimes its all black, sometimes it wont show any pics, untill I scroll, then they will flash in and out. Then as I scroll down I will see the "loading symbol" circling and it will load up correctly. I have uninstalled all updates and reinstalled twice with no change. Not sure what caused this...

For future reference please refer all questions to the Q&A Forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1657
We already have a thread going on about this; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788198&highlight=facebook
so far we all emailed google play and fb about this issue which seems to just be affecting Xperia Ion users -__-
I'm experiencing the same thing, but it seems to work after leaving the app open for a few minutes...fb on android has always been glitchy which is almost why I was hesitant to buy another android phone get buy a iphone 4s instead. Still at times I wish I gotten an apple for its "simplicity" but I'm content with this phone...even more when ICS released and hopefully rooted/bootloader for jellybean
Sorry about posting in the wrong place. And thanks.

Facebook app is so horrible. Fails to load most times and widget never updates properly. Don't understand howacompany like them can't fix these issues.

Hear this mate! I used Titanium Backup "non-dontation" to uninstall all traces of the Facebook app and all its little add ones, you do need root for this. Hope it helps

Hi all, I'm new to Inc 2, coming from Droid x2(fml). anyway.. im running latest miui, and cameras dont work properly.. anyone have a working camera zip that i can flash? much appreciation
Have you tried clearing the cache and Dalvik cache?
Sent from my HTC Incredible 2 using xda premium
Which MIUI build are you running? There's more than one port floating around right now that seem to be actively supported. If it's an ICS/JB build, there have been known issues with the camera in the past (I haven't kept up with it too much as MIUI builds never seem to play nicely on my device). Also, what do you mean by the camera "not working" properly? Is the camera app Force Closing, are the images saving with a green or yellow tint to them, or is there ripping or tearing on one side of the image?
Like mentioned above, try clearing the cache/dalvik cache in Recovery, as well as clearing the cache and data from in Settings->Apps.
Ill give that a try

Well seems as if the problem is back. When I take a picture, it has yellowish green lines up and down the screen. Although they are clear when I look at them in gallery. Also, instagram has the same problem while taking photos.
I'm running miui 1.8.26
Well on miui's thread it says 1.8.26, but in my phone it says build number 112300 (1.12.30 ?)
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda app-developers app
Instagram didn't work for me either. And I realized that camera shutter bug that has those lines appear. So, it must be 'normal'.

For a gb build 1 12 9 is last stable build or you can go to the new ics build it works great also.
Sent from my HTC Incredible 2 using Tapatalk
Yes, I'd either go back to 1.12.09, which was the last stable build with data, or upgrade to the CDMA version of the ICS MIUI. That's the version I'm on, and I have almost no complaints. It is based on Sense, so the camera and ffc work great!
How are you getting data or phone on 1.12.30? People were experiencing phone force close issues with all buildbot versions past 1.12.09 of GB MIUI.
i tried this and it didn't help me for long on MIUI. I finally gave up and went back to a Sense ROM.
