Is anyone else getting the T-Mobile upgrade screen when using WiFi tethering? I am on Tweaked 1.3 and have used this previously with no issues. The upgrade screen started today.
Am I the only one having an issue?
BUT . . . it will let me go to some sights (Gmail, Facebook) with no block, the block comes when I try Google, ESPN, and others.

Wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this issue:
I'm on t-mobile and coming from a G2x.
For some reason when I'm in the office, despite having 4 bars on H, any app (browser, youtube, market etc...) that uses a data connection takes forever to load. Sometimes the connection even times out.
Then when I go outside things work well again, but I never had this issue on my G2x. Its really frustrating, especially when I have downtime at the office and want to start downloading apps etc.
What can it be? Anyone experiencing similar issues??
UPDATE:
Think I may have found the cause of this issue. I was stuck on edge in the office (which used to happen on my G2x as well) so I switched to WCDMA-only. Going back to auto/prl fixed the issue. But still I wonder why. I would like to keep it on WCDMA-only if possible. Any thoughts?
Towers might be overloaded. It is peaktime.

Hi,
I'm an Android user for more than a year now and ever since I have the Galaxy Nexus the tethering is been giving me headaches. it seems to connect to my laptop but after a while it just stops to work. I can't browse any site or download anything from my laptop but this does seem to work on the Nexus.
I've resetted the phone to factory settings but this didn't solve it. I've also noticed that disconnecting and reconnecting to the wifi tethering helps even though I do have connectivity problems sometimes.
is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
I'm on the UK 3 network and the Nexus is not rooted and the unbranded version.
before the galaxy nexus I was using the HTC Desire (rooted etc) but never had the same weird disconnecting issue..
I have not tried it yet

Yes, having the same issues here as we speak. All the issues and fixes above I am experiencing. I'm from Australia on the Optus network.
I put my sim into a Huawei E585 and had no issue whatsoever, so seems to definitely be a phone issue....hopefully a software issue which will be fixed soon as I its extremely annoying as you know!
I'm awaiting the 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 update now, this seems to solve several issues and they also mentioned tethering in it. let's just wait it out now
I haven't received any update on the Galaxy Nexus yet, still running 4.0.1, can anyone please verify if they are having issues running ICS 4.0.2 or newer on their handsets while tethering?
I wonder if the networks have found a way to remotely block tethering access? I say this because I have an HTC Desire on Orange which will no longer load anything when using Wi-Fi tethering.
My Galaxy Nexus is fine though. I'm on the One Plan with Three which includes unlimited data and tethering (says so in the small print of the contract). I'd say contact Three if you're on the one plan and ask for their help.

Guess you didn't really properly read all messages,
I don't have any probs if I tether from my desire, I have an All you can eat data on Three,
the thing is it just stops working and I cannot ping my Nexus from my computer. according to the change log for the nexus they did say to fix some wifi issues etc with updates..
So which version are you running???
I am running 4.0.2, Samsung galaxy nexus, and tehering is not working. Anyone have a solution to this problem?
Temporary solution: (Click thanks! )
Google knows about the ICS tethering problem and this is their temporary solution.

You must "allow" you computer after you've connected to the hotspot. See this thread for more.
I am experience the same issue on my Galaxy Nexus, it's currently running 4.0.2 and Baseband I9250UGLA4.
my solution to the issue at the moment it's using USB tethering.
I suggest PdaNet, you can find it at Google Play and it's free =)
i am not using the stock wifi tethering feature on ICS instead i'm using FoxFi and at times the timeout issue will show up but if i restart the hotpot a few times, it seems to be working fine again...
i'm not sure if i am any good help to anyone but that's my experience...
FWIW, I have not had any issue with this. I tried tethering for the first time the other day with my Wi-Fi-only tablet for an hour and it Just Worked.
Hi everyone,
I updated to 4.4.2 today and since this afternoon my WiFi arrows (both up and down) have been stuck on. I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing this. I have rebooted, stopped suspected Google services, disabled sync....everything I can think of. Nothing works. It started around the time I was playing with getting Google Cloud Print to print a test page. The page didn't print so I went into the web portal for Cloud Print and deleted the job. I don't know if this is related to the WiFi issue I am having, but it might be.
Any one have the same issue? Any ideas on a fix? Any app that can tell me what is using the WiFi?
Oh...and when I turn WiFi off and go to mobile data, there is NO transfer of data shown. Only when WiFi is on.
I'm pure stock (Sense 5.5) and not rooted or s-off
Thanks!
I don't know if this is really the right place to ask this but her goes.
My wife has a S4 mini and I have Note 3. When connected to our home wifi I can connect to all the same app she does, however lately when she tries to enter hayday (her flavour of the month game ) It would load up to just before entering the game and then be stuck on that screen saying loading ....
Most other apps work perfectly so the wifi on the phone works(there seems to be a whatsapp issue that I saw yesterday, monitoring to see if it persists)
I on the other hand don't have any troubles when loading.
When she changes from wifi to mobile data however it loads instantly. Now I don't know if the issue is with the wifi network or just something phone/wifi combo.
I was just wondering If anybody else have seen something similar and maybe have some advice on how to remedy the issue?
After installing the App and restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling a few times still not working. I can launch the App just fine browse the collection but once you load your Movie it will launch like it's about to Play but won't. The Vudu Movies and TV screen will show and then will sign me out of the login. Anyone else use this App or have issues.
I didn't know I had an issue until I read this post. I checked it out on my phone, and Video is not playing. It starts loading and the the app restarts.

I have the same issue as well. Usually don't watch movies on my phone but just tried and it doesn't work. Hmm.
Sprint G4.
I contacted VUDU about the issue and this was their reply:
Hello,
*
We are currently experiencing issues with the Lollipop software. It appears that the issue is affecting playback on all devices with this software, due to a clash between the software and our VUDU app. We are actively working on a release that will remedy this bug for our customers.
*
I have done some playing around with the app and noticed that after a few tries, it will eventually work for me. I also noticed, when I un-installed and re-installed the app, I had success with playback the first few tries. Nonetheless, there is an issue with the app that we’re looking to resolve. Just wanted to supply a bit of feedback from my personal experience.
*Vudu support
So, it looks like there's a bug, they're aware of, and working on it. Until a fix is found, playback will be hit and miss.

Ok good to know I have 2 G4 and both have that issue but didn't have another phone with Lollipop software besides them . I'm on Tmobile I haven't forced tried it though. Flixter App works fine though.
my other issue is Netflix now. Phone #1 worked with Wifi calling Phone #2 doesn't after go back and forth between Netflix and Tmobile and did everything we can think of still nothing now Phone #1 doesn't work either with Wifi calling.
It does work with Wifi calling but it has to be set to Cell instead of Wifi Preferred (unless no cell service) option. Which is stupid since it worked before and on my Note 2. Tmobile then tried to say something about the Wifi calling feature demands more data or something and that's why. After Master resetting phone's etc a few times I find the issue to be when you first Log in to Netflix and Google Services wants a update. Since it did work on both after the Master resets but it will force the update on it's own.
I wasn't aware of the lollipop issue with VUDU, but like mentioned by BDestroyer8418, Flixster does work.
I double checked on the Netflix, and that plays fine as well.
As long as I was checking on these, I went ahead and verified HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, EPIX, the CW, and FXNow. All seem to play fine.
I rarely watch any of the services on my phone, since I usually just push to the Chromecast. So, as long as that all works, I will be content (until VUDU comes up with a solution).
LG-VS986
Netflix starts video playback almost immediately on my wifi. So, I don't have an issue there.
I can still use vudu with my phone and chromecast without issue, so at least there's that.

The problem is Tmobile Wifi Calling for Netflix. I'm not not sure if other carriers offer that feature Tmobile has. They add it in Tmobile software on Devices. They might have it but not sure you guy's would know for sure.
For Vudu doesn't seem like it matter's what Carrier your own most likely No unless you can force it work temp til they update it. Since Tmobile, Sprint and Verizon users reported the same Restart Loop.
Sprint has wifi calling, but it doesn't matter if I have it on or not, I have no issues with Netflix. So it may be just isolated to t-mobile.

So after looking around some more I found this http://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/32kowb/tmobile_lg_g3_lollipop_with_wifi_calling/
Looks like same issue on Tmobile LG G3 on Lollipop with the Netflix problem with Wifi Calling. This is most likely Tmobile problem then ? Something in the Wifi Calling feature.
