I have the Note 10.1 and the Note 2 (on Verizon) and I bought the Spen holder from Samsung , which comes with its own Spen. I am trying to figure out a way to use this without having to take the Spen out of my 10.1 or phone, as of right now you have to remove the Spen from the unit to use the other Spen. I haven't been able to find anything online or in forums, any help would be appreciated.
Under the SPen settings there is an option called battery saving. It switches off SPen detection while one is still attached. Disabling this should allow your second SPen to work.

I've been using NFC Task Launcher to make tags and within the app you can disable to notification sounds just fine, however the main system sounds is very annoying. Does anyone know where this sound file is located or if it is possible to disable the sound?
*bump*?
I'm trying to use NFC but quite a few usages cause the damn sound to go beeping all the time which is very annoying :/
It's probably built in, so that there can't be any accidental NFC usage, it's meant to alert the user. Same goes for NFC while screen off, or on lockscreen.

There are mods to change the lockscreen restriction.
I would look in /system/media/audio/ui/, and change the extention of the file to .bac.
The NFC.apk contains .ogg files; they can be messed about with I'm sure I read all that somewhere on here

I'm not saying it should be easily available but at least as a developer option would be nice... Given that we are surrounded by more and more RFIDs nowadays its freaking annoying that your mobile is constantly beeping... So we have a choice - either use NFC and be annoyed or turn yet another feature of android off :/

Found the files in system/system/app/NfcNci/NfcNci.apk/res/raw. You should find 3 files there.

Motion is "ON"
Now what?
Long press the Motion section in settings. Once the Motion setting screen pops up, scroll to the bottom. Make sure Palm Swipe to capture is "On".

I could not get mine to work at all when I first turned it on. I held my had vertically and swiped back and forth with it close to the phone then a couple of times higher and higher and nothing happens.
KB112, I followed ur direction and did have the box checked.
I couldn't even get it to work when promoted to do so after the little tutorial.
Now what?
I really used this feature a lot.
i apologize for the shameless bump but this is driving me crazy
Found the answer and I feel like an idiot but this may help anyone else who has this issue. A guy named tdriscolljr76SIII on a sprint forum said this:
I had this same issue as the instructions do not explain it well. I then went to YouTube and saw a video of how this actually works. Take the side of you hand and smear it left to right or vice versa across the entire device as if it were a light squeegee. It will then make a blur across the screen like a photocopier and save to clip board.
For some reason I thought I didn't need to touch the screen. Don't know how that went wrong for me

Correct, as does pressing the button on your S-pen and holding it on the screen for a second or two.

I upgraded my phone and gallery app as well as routing and doing a clean wipe on my note 2.My screen capture hasn't worked for the past week.My problem was that when I did the clean wipe, it didn't restart with a "Screenshot" folder. After creating one, swept to capture works perfect again! My 2 cents.

Hello, all, I'm wondering if you Can help me with a question that I've been pondering since getting the Note 2.l LOVE the hand writing keyboard with the spen, but I really prefer swift key for tapping. I've been using the stock Keyboard for it's ability to sense when the spen is out and automatically pull up the handwriting recognizer.Does anyone know of a way, maybe by settings or via a 3rd party app, to have the phone default to the Stock keyboard when the stylus is out but default to swift key when it's in the dock?
Thanks so much all!!

Hi. Just a quick question... is the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T210) supposed to have Vibration functionality?
In games and apps that have vibration feedback, it doesn't do it. Nor can I find any option relating to Vibration in the Settings. I'm wondering if this is a warranty issue or a cost-saving "feature."
Edit: If it is supposed to have Vibrate features, can you advise me on where I should be able to access Settings for it?
Edit 2: I meant to put this in Q&A, but can't seem to delete. Could a moderator please move this threat over? (sorry)
Thanks in advance!
I don't mean to be rude, but BUMP.
250 views, two weeks, and not a single person can provide a simple yes or no???
I start sharing T211 kernel in development section (and no feedback from T211 owner around here so far). There's a vibrator driver in T211 but no in T210.
No

Minealso doesnt vibrate, but not sure, if it s a driver problem, or missing hardware. @ketut.kumajaya did you try to enable it in the config/driver source already?

Fix Galaxy Tab 3 vibrate not working
Hi there,
I've just installed the Rocked Tab 3 ROM last night on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0
The problem is.. the keypad during a voice call (wifi call apps like dingtone, textme, hushed) can't hear what I type/or the keyboard is not enabled.
Please help me with this. It must be a trick to enable it again. I'm lost without it.
Thank you very much

Hi, if you mean key touch sounds, you can read how to enable them again in post no. 3 of the main RocketTab thread. There is the Tips and Tricks section.
no, it's a different bug
No, it's a different option. I've tried that. I must confirm a code and I can't find the keyboard or the robot didn't hear from my tab any key pressed. The app is called textme.

Hmm, maybe you ask the developer of that app? You can try long pressing menu, this should bring up the keyboard in most cases.
