Here is a resized version of the android pee on Apple bootanimation that I found on the Rom toolbox but for some reason wouldn't display on my note 2 even if I resized within the application. To me it's much better lookin than the fat tinkle peeling droid that I found here and its resized correctly. Credit goes to the original animation author which I have no clue whom that may be.
Here's the sample I uploaded to YouTube for you guys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vphIEzGJuno&feature=youtube_gdata_player
are u rooted? if yes... then do these steps verbatim to change your boot animation on your note 2.
STEP 1: download THIS file and do NOT extract it or anything (use your computer or phone... its like 100mb so i reckon you best be on WiFey to be safer from a broken dload)
STEP 2:
if using your computer to download , plug ur phone in to mount usb and moved the file to your sd card or your internal memory [ EX:Computer\SPH-L900\Phone or Computer\SPH-L900\Card ] (OR use a program like Android Commander to make things a little easier and put the file directly into the /system/media directory of your phone.... hint:the 'system' folder is located in the PARENT FOLDER of your SDCARD directory .... aka your ROOT directory)
if downloaded using your phone browser.... just use any root file manager (eg:I use ROM Toolbox Pro's Root file Browser, but there are dozens of other app like root explorer, ES File Explorer File Manager, ASTRO file Manager i think works too if u have the pro version but dont hold me to it) and use the Move to or the Copy To feature within any of those apps to move the file manually to your /system/media/ directory. You can just overwrite the one that is already there or just add a .bak or .EAD or .GTH to the end of the file name of the file you wanna backup thats already there BEFORE moving the new Android Peeing animation you downloaded in the first step.
IMPORTANT- DO NOT RENAME OR EXTRACT THE ZIP FILE YOU DOWNLOADED IN STEP 1... the file MUST BE NAMED bootanimation.zip
STEP 3- Using your root file managing joint appy proggy thingys Permissions editor (normally u just long click the file you wanna set permissions for and the edit permissions option will pop up somewhere) set the pemissions (or verify them) to this...
OWNER- READ WRITE
GROUP- READ
OTHERS- READ
or another way of saying this is RW-R--R--
Step 4 - SAVE or ACCEPT changes....
Step 5 - Reboot to make sure bootanimation is changed
Step 6 - Reboot again in a busy elevator or place where some iPhags can see over your shoulder.... and grin maliciously.
Step 7- :highfive: click the thanks button if u want or pm me if u have some bitcoins u managed to accumulate somehow and wanna donate em to me
BOSS!!!
Awesome

i noticed the file was already labeled "bootanimation.zip" so i copied it as it as renaming the original. the only thing about my phone is that im running MacksROM All Star 2.5 rather than stock but i dont think that would make any difference.

hmm.... try redownloading the file and replace the file u just tried with the one u just downloaded and then rename as necessary. i dont think ma7 changed the location of where it fetches the boot ani.... but im still running LjC. but running macks rom 5.0 which is basically the same rom as the allstar rom you are using minus without the Ma7 goodies. but anyway try what i mentioned real quick and see if maybe it was just a corrupt or incomplete download or transfer to your device if u used the computer. meantime ill see whats involved in making it a flashable zip or if my feeble mind cant wrap itself around how that works... maybe someone here will post a flashable version for ya. :fingers-crossed:

ok so this is the stock android boot image where ANDROID in android font flashes across the screen. there is no lag and looks very nice. follow the steps bellow to install.
WARNING - ANYTHING THAT MODIFIES THE FILES ON YOUR PHONE MAY DAMAGE IT. ONLY FOLLOW THE STEPD BELLOW IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
To be able to do this you will need root explorer.
you can buy this off the android market or find it online
1 - install root explorer onto your phone trough some sort of file manager
2 - download the bootanimation.zip file from the link below
3 - place it in the root of your sd card ( if on the xda app it will be in your downloads folder)
4 - open root explorer and switch to be able to write
5 - copy the boot.img file from your sd card to system/media and delete the boot image or animation already there( if that doesnt work try data/local )
6 - reboot your phone to make sure the boot animation is working properly

Unfortunately I have to disagree. This is the stock built in bootanimation. You don't need any special files to envoke it.
If you simply remove the /system/media/bootanimation.zip you get the same results.
Don't take it the wrong way, perhaps you were just miss informed.

Anyone know where i can find this exact Boot animation? and do i install it same way as i would a custom rom.
1. Put in root
2. Boot to recovery
3. Flash it
and thats it? this will be first time i download just a boot animation. i normally use the one that come with the rom.
and i left a youtube comment but the creator hasn't posted a message in over a month
Thanks.

I'm not sure where to find it, but it depends on how its packaged, on how you install it. If its a flashable zip, then yes you do exactly as you said. If its just the bootanimation.zip, and isn't flashable, then you can use root explorer to put the file where it belongs. If you're on a sense rom, it goes in /system/customize/resource. If you're on aosp, it goes in /system/media. Just put it in the right folder, set permissions, and reboot.

Damn, you're right. The mp3 file (for the boot sound) will download it seems, but the actual boot animation links me to 4shared and says 'the file link is no longer valid', or something like that. Maybe look thru that thread and see if there are any mirror's posted in it? I got nothing to do, I'll take a gander for ya in a sec.
EDIT: I found it. Check out post #40 in that thread. I just downloaded it. The download works fine. If you want the sound, the link in the OP looks like it works, if not, I saw two other mirrors for the MP3 sound somewhere between post 10 and 40.
BTW, that download is not flashable. you'll need to put the file where it goes. It's easy, especially if you know a little adb, it'll take 20 seconds. If not, using root explorer or ES file explorer can get the job done.
EDIT2: attatched the animation for you.
i'll take a look as well, don't want you to be having all the fun
Its in there, page 4 or 5
damn it its not flashable.
gotta learn how to do it the other way now
Root explorer works great-sweet find!

Couple quick questions to help me help you get it installed.
1) What rom are you currently on
2) Do you have a root level file explorer such as Root Explorer, or ES File explorer?
3) Do you have adb set up to use on your computer?
4) If you're on a sense rom, I might be able to make a flashable zip for you, let me know.

Ooops. I forgot to edit the sound file. Sorry. I can edit and re upload it, or all you'd need to do is open up the zip you downloaded. Click the folder that says system. then click customize. then click resource. then you'll see the bootanimation.zip and the mp3 file. rename the mp3 file to SPC_animation_final. Or it might be spc_animation_final. I forget if the spc is capitals or not. It's one or the other. Then reflash it.
Edit> and what do you mean that was the fastest bootloader? The fastest it's ever booted up you mean? confused.

Once you edited it, flash it again. And also, as I said, I don't remember if it's spc_animation_final or if it's SPC_animation_final. And I may have not been clear, but make sure that when you renamed it, you left the .mp3 extension on the file. It needs to be there.
yeah i know. flashing now. 1 min bud
Is it possible for somebody to create a completely stock framework (status bar, pulldown, etc) for juggernaut 5.0? I always thought the green battery really stood out when everything else was at an understated grey color. i wish i knew how to do this myself
but i turn to the experts on here for some love. hopefully i am not the only one who wants this and there is an actual demand for this type of theme
if anybody takes on this task, i thank them greatly
All you gotta do is search for empty zip file to flash theme. Then take out framework, twframework and systemUI from original Jug. Make folder called framework put both framework in there. another folder called app and put systemui. Then without extracting the zip file/use 7zip to put both this folder in it and then flash that zip. That's all!

Are these the exact same zips you are trying to flash? if so they are not set up right for CWM to be able to apply them. Here is a CMW flash for you. Open it with 7 zip or an appropriate progam, i recomend 7zip its great. You will see the app folder and the framework folder. Place your modfied app.apks in the app folder and any modified framwork.res files in the framework folder. Dont try to mess with too much at first just framework.res twframework.res and systemui.apk make sure when you transfer images you are taking them from stock and adding them to Juggs files or you will get a force close. dont just try and take stock .res files or .apks and flash them.
hahahahahaha.... i wish i saw this sooner. i actually went ahead and pushed the stock images over the modified images i wanted into the systemui.apk within the juggernaut zip file and then reflashed it. that would have saved me loads of time configuring everything all over again. but thanks though... if this doesn't help me now, it should help me later. and it probably helps other people looking to do their own thing as well.

Thanks for your help but I opend with with notepad and can not find D2Att. Maybe i have a newer verison, any other sugestions?
I had unzip the roms and zip them back but after that recovery wont flash em. Is it because we need to zip them with notepad++?
By the way I have a similar thread and nobody seems to care to help on flashing that rom to tmobile. Would be nice if you help us do so too!

By recovery won't flash it do you mean it gives you a error and aborts? If so that usually means their is a error somewhere in the updater script

It aborts! I had tried to unzip to put some apps and such then zip back again and recovery aborts the flash. Never used notepad++ Also dont know if it needs any special app to zip the rom again. But Im been seeing that notepad++ is the one to do the trick

Notepad++ can be used to edit the updater script, xml's and a few other things. Also can you list the exact error it gives you when try and flash it? And to zip the rom backup I use winrar

I do everything straight from my phone using ROM toolbox app. I just advised to use a PC so that you would not need to extract the Rom and just go straight to editing the update script file, but it can be done from our phones.
Really not that hard. Whatever ROM you have. The .zip file needs to be extracted then follow my steps one page back. Then use ROM toolbox to compress the extracted folders back to a zip then flash done.
Maybe I can make a picture guide but only if there is demand for it not going to waste my time if not.

So I can flash this rom with no changes and then I can do the changes with rom tool box! I understand about wasting your time. but If you make a good thread on how to do this and ask a mod to make it to sticky so people will have Ideas on how to flash a rom from att and letting people know that it really works. We have one like that for the S2 tmobile and skyrocket

No make the changes before flashing the rom. I guess ill start taking screenshots on how to flash the AT&T AOKP 4.2.1 Rom! Give me a few hours im at work.
Edit
scratch that Ktoonz AOKP ROM can be flashed without changing any thing to the files.
Thank you bro. Thats what we are here for to help each other lol. By the way Is that JellyBam after you changed the files. Have you ran into any bugs? How is the call quality and do you have echo?
just thought id share that i done exactly what g1master said and it worked flawlessly. all i had to do was change the d2att in the first lines to d2tmo and it worked fine. i used notepad++ to make the changed btw
Ok this is what I did. Unzip with winrar and did the steps from the op with notepad++ zip back with winrar and now that im trying to flash I get this
finding update package...
opening update package...
installing update...
installation aborted.
What am i doing wrong here?
Edit... Did the same with 7-zip and recovery aborted too.

1. you have to be rooted and on STOCK ZV9. the easiest way in my option is to lgnpst. here is a guide http://pastebin.com/g8hXBaaA
use this v9 tot file instead of the v7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091883&highlight=tot
2. you need to root v9 with this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050582
3. you need to download the update zip and rename it update.zip. http://d-h.st/0a9
4. you need to move update.zip to /cache using a file explorer (this is why you need root)
5. reboot into stock recovery. get into stock recovery by holding vol down+ home button+ power button until captive lights flash then release.
for some people programs such as romtoolbox's rebooter works and for others it doesnt but you can try.
6. choose "apply update from cache." then "update.zip"
7. you are now running JB.
8. restore root by using root keeper
9. if you want to reroot use the same method for zv9 above
Congrats, you have rooted jellybean!
LASTLY! Im not responsible for what you do to your phone!!!

so i made an actual guide because i did this in the car since kc removed his at the time.
here is the updated version which shouldn't cause a brick except for a few that make a mistake here or there.
Noob Question about this guide
First of all, thank you all for what you do for the Android community
I am obviously a noob, so please bear with me.
I recently used engine95's guide to root and unlock my Sprint LG Optimus G. It was simple and worked perfectly. I have not yet had a chance to attempt flashing any rom's and just noticed that I can actually have Jelly Bean now. So, I am rooted and unlocked. I have recently downloaded Titanium Backup, FreeGee, ROM Manager, Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper, and ES File Explorer. I chose TWRP during the unlock procedure with FreeGee. I am now running Titanium Backup on everything (seems to be stuck at 96% with YouTube).
I am about to run through javskies guide to flashing JB (this guide just made more sense to me). I am hoping Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper will keep me from having to root again after the update, but if not, I think I can handle rooting again.
My main questions are:
1) I noticed something in another post about uninstalling FreeGee due to its current incompatibility with JB. Is this correct?
2) Looking at step 4 of javskies guide
4. you need to move update.zip to /cache using a file explorer (this is why you need root)

, I noticed that I do not see a file named 'cache' either when using ES File Explorer or Windows Explorer. (I haven't figured out how to paste a screenshot into a post, so I attached a JPEG screenshot.)
3) Because I did not see the /cache folder, I looked at the Flashing Guide and now I am even more confused because the steps for
ROM update without SDcard

seem a bit out of my leauge...or maybe I am being lazy.
4) How would you all handle a wife/significant other who wants to kill me for spending hours on end reading through posts?
Honestly, if I can grasp how to manage the .zip file correctly in this procedure, I am sure I will be fine.
Because I know it matters...quick thanks to javskies, engine95, fiddy619, and kc_exactly for (unknowingly) getting me this far. Also to _Epic, who apparently is losing his patience with Android illiterates, like myself
Good grief, I hope this post ends up looking right...it is my very first time posting...(just noticed the 'preview' button.)
Thanks guys!
Cache is a folder in the root directory. That is the very bottom of directories. If your rooted you will see it. Put the file there.
And freegee is not compatible for the jelly bean update. So, you are correct to remove it. It will cause a soft brick.
The app is safe just sitting there. But if you run it after the update you will have problems. So, I would remove it for now. Out of sight, out of mind.
Part of the steps to fix the soft brick will be too format the whole phone. So, remove it. The creator of the app is a very active member here on xda. He is working on a fix. Just check back on xda. We will all know when it is fixed.
And it doesn't bother me what guide you use. If you read the bottom of my guide it is basically the same as this one.
I am not a hater. I like to help everyone. There is no competition.
The update process is confusing for new people. There is no way around it. Just follow the steps and you will be fine.

As for the wife. Just say what we all do.
"Honey, I am sorry, I have to fix my phone."
Or
"Hey, one sec, I have to fix my phone"
Basically, any combination of something like that usually works.

Also just a heads up, after u download esfile explorer, u need to go to settings and way towards the bottom there r root settings. Make sure u have the appropriate options checked so u can back out of your sdcard folder. Super user will ask u to grant permission once u check the first option. Grant it. That way u can get to that cache folder that you need.

Thank you, bowhunt. I was feeling a bit too stupid to ask again after kc's thoughtful response. I will stop googling how to access the root folder now :victory:

Make sure you clicked both folder icons at the bottom of the window. If you used the automatic one you should be able to pick the ls970 dll and the second one is the for the .tot you downloaded

Well now I feel like an idiot for missing something so simple. haha. Thanks
Finally got the downloaded zip file to the cache folder. Rebooting to recovery takes me to TWRP. Install failed. Is it because I am unlocked? Do I need to return to stock and re-root?

This guide worked well for me - I'm now ZVB stock rooted (not unlocked but do have FreeGee bought and installed). The hardest part was getting recovery to boot
Thanks javskies, your guide worked perfectly. I'm now back to stock rooted ZVB.
I dont know why this guide has been lost in the forums. I coudnt find it until you helped me out javskies.
This guide is perfect for those who want stock zvb that have locked phones.

No problem. This guide is now pretty much just for people in your situation since we have stock roms and the otas so not many are really going to need it. I'm very glad it helped you out and it sucks to hear that shelnutt couldn't help your situation :/

Actually, shelnutt had a way but he said there was also a risk of bricking my phone. I told him I couldnt because I dont have insurance nor do I have a backup phone. I will do it his way within time once I can get a backup phone. Hopefully, within two months.
He also said there were many people in the same situation that can't unlock phone. He's also trying to find the problem and work out a solution in the future.
