How well will a LT15a work with Vodafone Germany and Claro Peru?

In the US I have AT&T data only
I travel to Germany and Peru and would use these carriers:
Vodafone uses: GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / UMTS 2100
Claro uses: GSM 1900 / UMTS 850
Would I see 3g In all of the countries?

[Q] 3G NOT working on International Unlocked Version!

I bought the unlocked version (R800i) and im using it on a latinamerican network (MOVISTAR COLOMBIA) which is a GSM carrier but i can not get 3G speeds. Does it have to do with the supported bands? How can i change my supported bands?
BTW: This carrier works with GSM 850/1900 bands and according ro GSM arena it supports the following bands:
-2G Network: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
-3G Network: HSDPA 900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800
Have you set up your apn settings

I think what he's trying to say is you bought the wrong model.. Sorry dude.
hi guys having the same issue.
i have Xperia Play (R800i) running on Telekom (Slovakia). I asked folks over there on what frequency is their 3G running, they told me that 1800.
Does it mean that i will have just 2G (Edge) available if in my paper is UMTS HSPA Band 1 8 GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900?
Telekom offered this mobile in the end of 2011 so I am curious whether they would offer mobile with no 3G capability.
Thanks
R800i: GSM (2G) 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, HSDPA (3G) 900 / 2100
R800at: GSM (2G) 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, HSDPA (3G) 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800
The R800i will not work with 850 and 1900 bands. You can't change the support band, you'll have to buy a different phone. It is hardware limitation btw, if you flash R800at firmware and baseband to your R800i, it will not make it work.

thanks for your reply, if my provider is telling that its 3G is running at 1800 Mhz, it should run right? currently i am running just 2G :/ and even when carrier selection i have just 2g shown. Can it be SIM related? i have changed mine a week ago.
Edit: just checked in TMobile that lady ran my SIM on her phone and H appeared. it has to be phone related somehow.
how can i find out whether my 800i wasnt transfered from some at, a version?
I talked do Data centre and R800i was in one of the action of Telekom , when i select only WCDMA, i lose any access to the service, carrier told me that it has to do something with the phone.
I guess that there were 3G and 4G versions of Play, not the version without 3G
They already told you: You bought the wrong model.

Perhaps all problems will be solved at once if you bought the correct model?!

The 1800 is listed under both R800i & R800at as 2G frequency. I hate to say it but as its been stated already in this thread you bough the wrong model.
Eskasol:
"R800i: GSM (2G) 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900,
HSDPA (3G) 900 / 2100
R800at: GSM (2G) 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900,
HSDPA (3G) 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800

[Q] Difference in Models

What is the dfference between f180l and e975 e973 e971 and why people hate the korean version. Is there a superiority factor in the European versions
They are all models for different markets and/or different providers or international versions. Some of them have 8mpix camera, some 13mpix, also if I'm not mistaken on some there is a microsd slot. Layout of camera, flash and speaker on backside is also different.
So differences in radios (regarding networks), cameras, card slots and layout practically means that you cannot use the same roms and cases on every model.
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - E975, E973, E971
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100 - E975
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - E973, E971
4G Network LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 - E975 (market dependent)
LTE 700 / 1700 - E973
LTE 700 / 2600 - E971
(source: http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_optimus_g_e975-4941.php)
Korean model = no FM radio, no edge support, no lte outside Korea
Only people who wants these things will hate it obviously,

[Q] Is it possible to turn E980 into E988 or E986?

Hi Guys
My question is related to the LTE frequency they use I have an E980 and I am now in Qatar, the model they have here is E988 which is "LTE 1800 / 2600 - E988" however my E980 "LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100” and I am experiencing very slow 4G connection, is it because of the bandwidth or it might be something else.
Thanks in advace

Naah Bro!!
The frequency bands are related to your hardware!
E980 n E988(mine) have different freq bands due to different modems
All: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
E985: HSDPA 900 / 2100
E986: HSDPA 900 / 2100
E986: LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600
E988: HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100
E988: LTE 1800 / 2600
ATnT: HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
ATnT: LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100

does anyone invent a band rewrite tool ?

hi there ,
i wanted to ask if there is some tool anywhere that can rewrite htc one version from gsm to t-moblie et
that if someone buy accidentally wrong version that doesn't support the bands ,he can change them ,so it could work?
for instance:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - EMEA, Asia
LTE 700 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 - Asia
to
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - AT&T
LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 - AT&T et...
thanks ahead.
Its not possible. If the bands are not supported in hardware, there is no way to magically make it work with software.
There are some isolated instances of bands being "hidden" in software (but in fact supported in hardware) and folks making the band accessible by flashing a different radio. But such cases are very rare, and flashing radios not meant for the device is also very risky, as its a great way to truly brick the phone.
